  1. yes and he has been impressive as a back up coming off the bench. It is a totally different ball game when the Jags D has a week to game plan for him. Way different! He may win 10 in a row but i see some tough times for the Colts moving forward
  2. He is type A. He and Ballard seem like an odd pair long term. I don't see their personalities matching all that well
  3. Minshew has been awesome coming off the bench. However, it is a totally different game when he is the starter, and the opposing defense has a week to prepare for him. He has bounced around and is a backup for a reason. If Richrdaon is done for an extended time, this team may be picking top 5. It could get that bad. I wonder what the Colts would do if we were on the skids and Richardson wasn't scheduled to come back till like 4 games left in the season,? I would shelve him and go for the pick lol.
  4. Yeah the scores seem like garbage. They destroyed the best D line in football, arguably, and they got those scores? Garbage. I have been hard on Nelson as of late, but he seems like he is back to his all pro level, and he crushed it yesterday. So they go ahead and give them those scores. Blackman highest rated safety?? That's all u need to know about PFF.
  5. I would honestly say that this would be the 1st time they go wr. It would be like Nelson all over again. Luck was getting killed and Ballard was almost forced to take that generational player at guard. If Richardson comes back, I expect him to continue to improve. However, everyone in the media, fans and even FO will be pushing for an elite game changing wr to take this offence to a new level. One thing is apparent, Richardson loves the deep ball and he is very accurate throwing deep.
  6. Agreed. I speaking more to the injuries overall and how they eventually wore Luck down. Got to be super frustrating for this kid. Let's say he comes back and suffers another injury. Well then, you will start to see a whole new set of circumstances start to unfold.
  7. I don't disagree on that. My personally, I would never take a qb that size.
  8. Yeah. I make wild predictions lol. However, when I saw him walking of with shoulder hanging, my 1st impression was that he was done. Luck all over again. It didn't look good.
  9. There was a reason the Colts didn't want to extend Taylor. It's the postion he plays and not because of his talent. With Pittman it is the reverse. If the Colts truly felt he was irreplaceable, they would have gotten a deal done by now. I say they let him test free agency. They drafted Downs and they have numerous tight ends who have similar skill set that Pittman has.
  10. Downs already impresses me more that Pittman. He shows some explosiveness, great hands and doesn't take stupid penalties. We need a game breaker. We need a game changer at wr. Draft him or sign him, I don't care but get one. It has been seven long years and if your org cannot draft or develop one, then admit it and do it another way.
  11. There offence is slow enough. Trust me, he wouldn't be at the top of their list. Tell me this. When u see Pittman, how would you grade him and/or what do u like about him or what stands out about him?
  12. Yeah how do u relegate Moss to back up when he has put up the numbers he has? Ballard talks bout character and earning your position. Taylor wasn't there for the team , but Moss was.
  13. I would let Pittman explore free agency. I really don't beleive he will get offered a lot. Wrs who get big money are getting it based production plus what they might do in the teams offence. I think a lot of teams have a number #2 and are looking for a #1 , but are fine if he is another #2 but can stretch the field and offer game breaking speed. To me, Pittman doesn't do that.
  14. As much as I like Franklin, u let him walk. I have said on many occasions that u can find lbs in the later rounds to excel in this D. Leonard and Franklin's dominance should tell u their success is probably more related to them fitting the scheme than their overall talent.
  15. Oh, I didn't see that and error in my part. I was well aware of that.
  16. And u wil never convince me that Young was Frank's favorite qb coming out. Way to small
  17. I know, the player has to sit out a year, however that wouke never happen. If for example Williams refused to walk to the podium after being picked by the Bears. A deal to trade him would eventually be done.
  18. It's a long season. People will jump all over Frank and with an 0 and 5 start, it will justify their belief that he was the problem. What people wil always leave out is the fact that he has started every season with a new qb. U take all the hall of fame coaches and how many of them would have been successful given those circumstnsces? I wouldn't be surprised to see Carolina gets better as the year goes on. I mean u gotta as u haven't won a game yet lol.
  19. Could be right, but any injury to the throwing shoulder is concerning no matter the severity.
  20. Good point, but one qb was drafted because of his athletic ability and how the coaches could use that athleticism to their best advantage. Really handcuffs the team when u wince ever time this guy gets hit.
  21. Totally agree. What people are not looking at is this. They had him under contract for thr remainder of the year and this protected him against injury.
  22. I think what people have to remember is this. U would still have the cap, so teams really couldn't just load up on talent. I think people would surprised how it could work.
  23. No doubt. I know it is early, but I bet the Colts r already having those discussions internally. What do u do if he comes back in, say, 4 weeks and gets hurt again?
  24. My error but he took a lot of brutal hits over his career. One can argue that Richardson is either made of glass or just having a run of very bad luck. I think you and me have watched a lot of sports over the years. It does not project well over a players career to be injured in 3 our of 5 games as a rookie. Honestly, I cannot think of another player who has started off his career in this manner and has gone on to have a lengthy career. Can you name one? Not trying to be super negative but it is a real bummer.
