  1. If we’re moving up it’s for an offensive playmaker. Turner will be gone. One of Verse,Arnold, or Mitchell will be available at 15. If Rome or Malik is there at 9, I think that’s our target. Don’t see Ballard moving up for a TE.
  2. Agree with this as well. The worst part is going into the draft with soooo many positions that could stand an upgrade. The main reason I didn’t understand ballard’s FA approach. I miss the times when the roster was solid and we could afford luxury picks. It’s seems like it’s been the same the past 10 years. We go into the draft having to pick a certain position or position’s because of the lack of talent on the roster. All the talk of bowers falling to 10 and not being able to draft him because we have 5 other bigger needs sucks. I place that on Ballard.
  3. Most teams with a young QB, give them the best chance of succeeding by adding talent around them. You can look at the past Qb’s taken and see this. From Burrow, Tlaw, Herbert, Tua, etc. These teams have added pieces around their QB to help ease the curve. Right now our receiving core consists of Pittman basically and we seen last year what happens if he’s out. You must get talent around the young QB to give him a chance to succeed. Let them grow together. We’re not making the SB next year anyway.
  4. I don’t trust Ballard to get a productive WR in the second round. We drafted Paris Campbell over Terry and DK. Some of you still hold out hope for Pierce but that ship has sailed. When’s the last time we spent a first round pick on a skilled offensive position? If Ballard believes AR is our guy and he should considering where we drafted him. Surround him with some skill guys to help.
  5. Ballard has created this problem, where there’s going to be two groups. Group 1- we need more explosive playmakers on the outside. He’s made minor investments with this group over the years. Pittman, downs, & pierce primarily. Pierce is fading fast and downs is a dime a dozen through the draft. What happens if Pittman gets injured again? Group 2- we need to go secondary no matter what. I completely understand this group as well. The cupboard is bare there also. We’ve drafted safeties & Corners plentiful over the years with nothing major sticking. This team has soooo many holes that one draft isn’t going to get us where we want to be. We lack elite talent across the board. From DE, CB, WR, etc. This is why many were angry about Ballard’s approach during FA. No holes have been plugged from the previous year. We still don’t have a corner that can cover, a receiver that can win over the top, or a true DE that can change a game. Hopefully he can find at least one piece in a couple weeks.
  6. Imo Chicago is a perfect trade up scenario. Pretty sure they only have like 4 picks this year and no picks in the second round. I’m completely onboard with trading pick 15 and 46 to grab the 9th pick. That would put us in range for bowers, odunze, or nabers. Anyone of those three makes our offense more electrifying. These are blue chip passing game weapons that we’ve been wanting for awhile. Should be a corner or safety available in round 3 that can compete. But if we’re going offense, I’d rather trade up and grab one of the more coveted guys than take a next tier player.
  7. Well said. I guess I’m just on the skill player train. Quicker impact I’m assuming.
  8. Who I want- Brock Bowers TE UGA Bowers is exactly what Shane wants at the TE position. He’s a mismatch where ever you play him. In line he’ll blow by the LB that’s covering him and in the slot he’ll overpower the DB. He’s a perfect fit in our O and would be a tremendous weapon for AR. Here’s the problem. There is no way he gets out of the top 10. If Bowers is available at Bears #9 pick, Ballard should be on the phone asking what it would take to move up. If it’s a 2nd round pick, so be it. IMO Bowers takes our offense to the next level. Just an unbelievable talent that we could use in various ways. Who I don’t want to draft- A first round DB I understand that you got 3 potentially great DB’s that could go in the top 20. I just feel we could address this position later in the draft, while signing a veteran in FA. If we played more man I’d be all in for a lockdown corner but in Bradley’s scheme we need to value other positions more. Who I expect us to pick- Brian Thomas Jr WR LSU If you look at the draft board this year, you’ll see many teams with a need for an outside weapon. Tenn, Chicago, Arizona, New York, and a few more. I just don’t see Harrison, Nabers, Odunze, or Bowers dropping far enough for us. Which would leave us with Thomas Jr. which is the best WR left on the board. This kid is projected in the 20-25 pick range but has top 10 talent. Size, strength, and speed he checks all the boxes. He would be the compliment to Pittman, we’ve been looking for. Ballard has said the need for more explosive plays and this kid can deliver that.
  9. Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, and a few other wrs have been solid.
  10. Just don’t think he makes it out of top 10 picks. Wonder what it would cost to make the move to pick 9? Chicago could still grab a WR at 15, maybe Thomas. They already have Kmet but have seen several mocks projecting bowers to bears. Bowers would be an unbelievable fit in our offense.
  11. Ballard has talked about blue chip players before and really doesn’t care about position if they’re a green jacket type. Nelson is a perfect example. If we’re sitting at 15 and nabers or bowers are there at 10, you would think he’d consider those two blue chip players. I think there’s a good chance we trade up if either fall to 10. We’re probably right outside of them falling to us but considering the need at those positions, it would be smart to move up imo. Even more so if you think one of them gives us a leg up in conference. It’s time to draft that game changer on offense and both players seem to be that.
  12. Trade up for Brock Bowers. He’d make this offense elite! He can line up inside or out wide. His game is made for Shane and his offense. Don’t believe go watch this guys highlight reel. A blue chip weapon that we’ve all been craving.
  13. Yep we’re screwed
  14. Sorry guys I’ve ran out of likes and thanks emojis lol. You guys get it. At the end of the day neither team is going to the superbowl. But I think the future is bright for both franchises.
  15. Vegas says we lose. 60/40 Texans Money and the line swayed two points. All the sharps are on the Texans.
  16. You guys can blame this game on the defense, Qb play, etc. But it comes down to playmakers. Outside of JT, we have 0 with pittman out. Minshew had time but receivers had 0 separation. For the ones not wanting to take a playmaker on offense in the 1st round makes zero sense. This team needs a playmaker.
  17. Colts have tried to teach many guys with great traits football over the past few years with little success. What happens to the day where tape was the top evaluation. Like a lot of these WRs we’ve drafted over the years great traits but missing film and they haven’t panned out. The tape never lies imo.
  18. So tired of RAS scores. Not saying I don’t like the pick but a lot of these RAS scores haven’t panned out.
  19. Unbelievable…. Matt gay will find a way to screw us from getting the #1 pick next year, just watch. At this point maybe we’ll be good in 2033. Enough with Ballard.
  20. Why is Kelly, Matt Ryan, and Moore still part of this team. At least cut your dead weight. I understand not signing some top guys. This is what happens when you whiff on expensive vet QB’s.
