  1. There will probably be several legitimate candidates BUT I will agree with you that Gus is the favorite to take the fall. 2nd...... Ballard 3rd....... could be Shane Steinchen but he's really liked by so many and highly regarded and he's fresh so that's not happening. But the team lost 3 out of the last 5 and that last play with the season on the line on 4th and 1 and having a career backup QB throwing to a practice squad player and the best player on the team was on the sidelines just doesn't make sense if someone doesn't buy into NFL being scripted.
  2. Actually, sub .500 with No Division titles and only 1 playoff win going on 8 years in a weak division is probably below average. But I get your point of being easy on the guy. Lol Not to mention his first HC hire, (well almost) would have been Josh McDaniels.....if he didn't Bolt at the alter.
  3. So you saying his daughters are part blame for the colts not winning???
  4. Even.when Ballard leaves the odds his replacement are highly against him doing things differently/better.
  5. I respectfully think it could be the opposite? I think AR5 IS/WILL BE that Stud QB but will have a roster around him lacking talent and playmakers that the best teams have. I think it will be similar to What Bert Jones went through, a overall team inferior in talent and coaching to what Jones faced(Steelers-Raiders,Noll-Madden..etc...). Hopefully AR5 will at least not have a injury plagued career also.
  6. I've never run a Mini Marathon but have run around a mini van a couple times before I got too tired.
  7. Not crazy about it but don't mind it. Flacco is a professional passer that can rise up in big games as he showed in a playoff run resulting in a Super Bowl championship. The opposite of skill set to AR5 is not appealing but you can't have everything. Hope he's not needed but if he is he's showed he can do the job.
  8. 2years for $9mil is more than rookie/vet minimum which I think the colts will like to spend for JT's backups. Hopefully, they don't feel that way on AR5's backups.
  9. RB is a underrated position but NFL teams are again starting to see the importance of them, and because of that a good back-up is needed too. Moss is not coming back so since Ballard is unlikely to spend any money on one I expect a late round pick will be spent for one. I hope he picks a good one. I don't think Hull is the answer if JT goes down for a few games. If Hines is healthy, I wouldn't mind him coming back.
  10. I think this much to do about nothing.......or at least not much. I think Caleb Williams, if not let down by the historically dysfunction of the Chicago bears the last few decades, he will be one of the Top QBs right away and be elite in a couple years. Not wanting to Hijack the thread I have a question for colt fans(especially to a few who still aren't so thrilled about AR5 being our QB) ......Hypothetical, if the colts somehow had a chance to trade AR5 for Caleb Williams would you want them too??? So who would you rather have as QB of the colts going forward? Caleb OR AR5 ???
  11. I'd like to see a good RB drafted. Hull is supposed to be decent at catching but I wasn't crazy about the athleticism I seen.
  12. The Delusion is people who didn't see the plays he made at Florida AND the Flashes he showed in his few NFL games, even with limited college reps. He's the most gifted QB in football with a brain and drive to succeed big time. I think he will join Allen, Herbert, Burrows, and Maholmes in a year or two as the best QBs in the league. .......just my 2 ¢
  13. With all those mid-round picks to go along with the Day 3 picks, Ballard won't need to sign any mid to late tier FA's to fill the roster.
  14. I think that may be the trend going forward, Top Prospects not working out because they have more to lose than gain. Like the NFL, its a Business Decision.
  15. I didn't even know the combine started until yesterday...... and then I still didn't watch. Lol I used to watch with pad & pen to take notes and help with my mocks. Glad for everyone who still does and enjoys it.
  16. Bengals have been known for decades to be very......to put it nicely like another poster did....frugal..
  17. Some don't care if its from players mouth, their narrative is defend management at all times.
  18. Is trading back a position?? Actually, its multiple positions..
  19. I don't like that the players have to travel in smaller seats than the front office.....especially because Ballard believes in building in the trenches, which means a lot of our better players are Big OL/DL and feel more cramped than other players.AND front office people!!!
