@VikingsFanInChennai I've got a potential trade brewing between two of the three teams that I'm managing. Whether or not I pull the trigger depends on the players that come off the board before Miami's pick at 21. The trade value isn't absolutely even, but it's close. Both teams would get something they want. When/if it happens, I want to make sure that it's fully approved by the commissioner/league owners, so that no one thinks I was gaming the system by making an unequal trade with myself. If I do the trade, I'll announce it as a submission for your approval. Ok with you?

Any news on the attempted talks with Blackmon? Worst case scenario: we don't sign Blackmon, or any other safety FA, miss out on what few guys there are in this very non-deep safety draft, and wind up going into the season with Cross and Thomas as our best two guys. Ewwww.

7th Annual Hammonds MY GUYS List!
John Hammonds replied to John Hammonds's topic in NFL Draft, Scouting, and Free Agent Talk
Why is Ricky Pearsall not on my list? Quite frankly, because the Lindy's Draft Guide plopped a great, big "meh" on him. He may have clocked at 4.4 at the combine, but the Lindy's review says he's not all that sudden in his initial burst, and has problems creating separation. He's average sized and average talented. The only thing he really has going for him is that he has previous play time with AR. Sure, that counts for something. Griff Whalen had affinity with Luck at Stanford. And he was able to make a short career of it in the NFL, most of it here in Indy. But he was never a starter. Never a difference maker. And that's why Pearsall isn't on my MY GUYS list. Sure, I won't mind having him. But I'm not targeting him. I want somebody better than him. -
On the negative side, we're going to be playing a tougher schedule than last year. On the positive side, our young players should be better in their second year (Richardson, Downs, Brents) along with our 2022 draftees getting better (Pierce, Woods, Raimann, Cross). It can all be upset by untimely injuries, but I'm giving us 10 wins and a playoff berth.
