  1. What does that have to do with the premise of three team trades?
  2. The colts, bills and rams pulled off a three team trade previously…..1987 I believe
  3. Pretty sure he was hurt on the tackle where he landed awkwardly on his hip on the out pattern previous to the TD.
  4. Any news on Rush’s injury yet or was it simply precautionary?
  5. He has had consistent pressure that led to others get sacks……like Leo
  6. The real question is what roster weaknesses do the Bears, Texans and Cardinals have that would interfere with our ability to sign someone….. Too tired to research right now but I do know the Bears have some young 2nd and 3rd year olinemen that they really like. Texans and Cardinals I know little about…..
  7. Went back and watched some highlight videos from college and the Steelers and he is a good WR. Plays faster than he was timed and plays bigger than the 5'11" that he is listed as. Why the Saints released him is uncertain (perhaps didn't fit their offense) but he seems like a gritty, hardnosed deep threat type receiver. Perhaps that is what we are looking for is a guy who can take the top off as most of his highlights are just that, him catching deep balls....... This is my darkhorse candidate for the 5th or 6th guy!
  8. If there is any shred of truth to this, who could we get back from the Dolphins as similar compensation? https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-afc-contender-talking-to-colts-about-blockbuster-jonathan-taylor-trade-according-to-nfl-executive/ar-AA1ftdJC?ocid=entnewsntp&cvid=99ba6e0223e040f7a6af567fcb348f87&ei=9 Edge - Jaelan Phillips and draft pick(s) OG - Robert Hunt and draft pick(s) Those are about the only two young potential "stars" that I could think of outside of Waddle who I know they would not part with.....
  9. At this point I'm guessing he'll be activated prior to the end of preseason, then on cut down day be on the original 53-man roster and then placed on IR-Designated to return..............
  10. I have 51 who I think are locks for the roster, as follows (without injury of course): Offense: 24 QB - Richardson, Minshew Notable Cuts: Sam Ehlinger RB - JT, Jackson, Moss, Hull Notable Cuts: Drake WR - Pittman, Pierce, Downs, McKenzie, Rodgers Notable Cuts: Perriman, Washington, Strachan (same boat as Patmon - no ST's ability) TE - Woods, Gransen, Mallory, Ogletree Notable Cuts: Cox in a surprise move, Brown, Seal-Jones LT - Raimann, Hambright LG - Nelson, French C - Kelly, Pinter RG - Fries RT - Smith, Freeland Notable Cuts: Ekiyor, Skipper, Shepley Special teams: 3 K - Gay LS - Rhodes P - Rigo Defense: 24 S - Blackmon, Thomas, Cross, Black Notable Cuts: Harrison, Denbow, Dabo (with his exemption) CB - Moore, Flowers, Baker, Brents, Rush, Jones Notable Cuts: Brown Suspended: Lammons LB - Leonard, Franklin, Speed, Stuard DE - Paye, Dayo, Ebukam, Tomi, AQD Notable Cuts: Leo, Kareem, Lewis DT - Buckner, Stewart, Johnson, Bryan, Tomi Notable Cuts: Agim What I think happens on cut down day is JT is moved to the IR - Designated to return and the re-sign Drake. Lammons is automatically suspended and once he's eligible to return my thoughts are the youngsters are showing enough progress that he is not needed and stashed on the PS. Additionally, I think there is an interior OLineman scooped up on the waiver wire on cut down day and they replace French as Hambright has shown versatility as an OG/OT. I still feel like Cox gets cut in a cap savings move and because it appears that the new head coach really like Gransen and Mallory (since he was instrumental in drafting him) and the two young guys in Woods and Ogletree are too good to try to stash on the PS. The last two spots come down to 6th WR or 5th Safety or 5th LB - all with special teams ability.
  11. Right now I have Pittman and Pierce on the outside and Downs, McKenzie and Rodgers on the inside. I think they are looking for one more outside WR to back-up Pittman and Pierce. Washington was the most highly touted WR coming out of college out of anybody on our current roster as a Fred Bilitnikof winner and 3 straight seasons of 1000+ yeards and 10+ TD's......sadly enough for him he was always the 3rd option behind some pretty good WR's in Pittsburg (JuJu Smith-Sschuster, Diantee Johnson, Antonio Brown, and Chase Claypool - before he fell off). if he's healthy he's my darkhorse for that 6th spot. I say Rodgers as the 5th WR because he adds returner ability as well especially if Dallis Flowers ends up starting at CB as he is currently projected to do. As far as gunner is concerned - if you watched the "With the Next Pick" series it was specifically mentioned that they liked Jones's (7th Round CB) gunner reps as well as his defensive chops. Whomever wins the battle between Henry Black and Ronnie Harrison will also be a core special teamer with a lot of previous experience. Still have E.J. Speed and Grant Stuard on special teams and whomever wins the last LB spot between Domann/Anderson/Olubi/Mutin/McGrone will also be a core special teams player.
  12. I look at our WR's as two separate groups: Outside (X and Z) - common denominator with the exception of Washington is height Pittman - 1 Pierce - 2 Strachan Perriman Montgomery Washington Winfree Adams Smith Inside (Y) - common denominator is lack of height but a lot of juice and route running ability Downs - 3 McKenzie - 4 Rodgers - 5 Case I think what they are looking for with bringing these guys in is someone who can adequately back-up Pierce and Pittman on the outside AND get dirty on Special Teams.........hence no "big named" players like Sammie Watkins or Kenny Golladay, for example. Dulin is on the IR Strachan is potentially banged up now So they want those 5-6 guys to battle it out for the 6th spot as I see us keeping all three mighty mites (Downs, McKenzie and Rodgers). Do I wish they would or could sign Dalton Risner - absolutely. In the big picture I still understand what they are trying to do with the WR's though. Additionally, Risner could very likely be waiting for the right team (aka not us) to join or the right money (again likely not us) before making a decision. You have to think he's got several offers available to him since EVERYONE needs lineman.
  13. Pinter has shown to be an adequate Center - and French/Shepley (SP?) seem to be alright as well. May be our deepest spot on the line right now. The FO would have to have some stones to cut Kelly right now........though he'd get a job rather quickly somewhere else even for as bad as we think he's been he's still better than some out there!
  14. The best option, in my humble opinion, has always been Freeland at RT and Smith back inside to RG. It's much easier to avoid pressure from the right side as a right-handed QB because he can see it more clearly.....and AR5 has MUCH more mobility to escape the pocket or duck underneath the outside rush to his throwing side. But, I'm not the coach so it's up to them to figure out the best 5
  15. So the starting corners were Flowers and Baker on the boundary and Moore at Nickel. Thomas and Cross at FS and SS, respectively. With Blackmon and Harrison still in the wings….. That is 4 second year players and Kenny. Then they bring in Rush, Brents and Jones……I really like the “potential” of our DB’s.
  16. I agree - each of the rookies Brents, Rush, Jones, and the 2nd year guys Flowers and Baker all bring different strengths to the table but they all brought game experience and ball skills to the table - albeit the latter two at smaller schools! I think we’re in good hands in the secondary moving forward! Plus you can’t teach 9+ RAS Scores, 6’+ height, long arms and the willingness to be coached (presumably vetted out during the draft process). Those were God given traits - but good technique can be taught!
  17. I believe the average age of our team is 25 overall…..subject to change at cutdown day. However, retooling on the fly is far different than rebuilding - talking heads like to have their click bait! Lol We have veteran leadership and pro bowlers/all pros at almost every level of the team…. JT - if he pulls his head out of his 4th point of contact Kelly, Q and Smith on the OLine Buck and Stewart on the DLine Shaq at LB and Zaire to a degree as a team captain Moore in the DB room Dulin as a Special Teams ace So yeah they’re integrating A LOT of young talent like Raimann, Pierce and Downs, Paye/Dayo and a young vet in Ekuban, Brents/Rush/Jones/Flowers/Baker at corner and young veterans like Thomas and Blackmon at Safety. Of course the new QB too in AR5…. That is retooling a roster with a solid base to build on. I still think they will surprise most and win 9 games…..
  18. I don’t disagree with his speed and that we have linebackers and lineman that run faster in a straight line……but recorded speed and playing speed are much different. Is he a better depth option than Denbow or Dabo - I tend to think so, but that is my opinion, not fact. Far too often people introduce their opinions as facts and/or that is how they are perceived…..and perception is reality unfortunately! Thank you for clarifying your stance! 😊
  19. If we go into this year with Thomas and Blackmon as our starters with Harrison and Cross as our depth behind them then I’m good with that and think we’re solid. If they keep Tabor over Denbow as a 5th guy I’m okay with that too….. I think it comes down to how many corners they keep and special teams value. Moore Brents Rush Baker over Tony Brown Flowers Jones Those are our 6 corners I would think.
  20. They ran a 4.62 and a 4.63……both are slow by your definition so they both must suck and are just camp bodies!??! You know……since you only report the facts and data to back it……Harrison is actually slower than Tabor. Hating on one while implying praise for the other based on one singular data pull (speed) is dumb when there is far more context that could be used - for example, you can’t quantify instincts. Harrison played safety at Bama at a high level while Tabor played Corner at Florida at a decent level - but instinctually one plays safety better in the NFL currently. Has nothing to do with speed…..instinct, technique, angles and coaching. Denbow is faster than both of them but looks like a deer in the headlights on defense. Special teams no doubt he’s good but on base defense he’s lost, why is that? He’s faster…..
  21. To be fair, by my recollection, Luck got hurt staying in the pocket for a hit AND for an off-season injury playing in the snow - not from scrambling……
  22. You have been a member of this board since 2013 and a fan as far back as Baltimore............congratulation you watched Johnny U and Bert Jones (when healthy) have HoF and solid careers, respectfully. Since the move to Indy here is a laundry list of QB's that I would take Anthony Richardson talent over every day of the week and twice on Sundays: Mike Pagel Art Schlichter Mark Hermann Jack Trudeau Gary Hogeboom Chris Chandler Jeff George <------- You think this clown has a better career than AR will have? A 46-78 Career Record with 7 Teams (Raiders 2x) Jim Harbaugh Curtis Painter Dan Orlovsky Kerry Collins Matt Hasselbeck Josh Freeman Scott Tolzien Jacoby Brissett Bryan Hoyer Phillip Rivers Carson Wentz Matt Ryan Nick Foles So this begs the question - you'd run those guys out there before AR?
  23. Again........first NFL live action..........how did he perform AFTER the INT should be the focus........
