  1. Anger? Dude, I’ve been shot at, stabbed, blown up, lied to, cheated on, gone without food/water and a shower, had a spiteful ex who used my kids as weapons, stubbed my toe and ran into my coffee table in the middle of the night……those make me angry! Me suggesting folks eat some crow is not misdirected anger it’s a statement about owning their misdirected doubts towards the front office.
  2. It was not a ‘drop’ - it was stripped by the DB. That DB gets paid too….
  3. For all those folks that made fun of the front office for signing him to such a “large” contract…… How you like him now? Is he a “weapon”? Four 50+ kicks in one game including the game winner. Special Teams can win or lose games and his leg just won this one. Time for some of y’all to eat some crow….
  4. Just because I used the word *hat does not mean I was upset..........but you are entitled to your opinion
  5. As far as lineup changes that I have thought about........... If Freeland offers more potential at RT than Fries offers at RG then I could see a scenario where they kick Smith back inside to guard. Woods & Ogletree as our inline TE's and Granson & Mallory as our move TE's seems like the future and that makes Mo the odd man out. Perhaps as soon as this year. The Flowers and Baker experiment probably needs to continue until Brents and Jones pass one or both of them on the depth chart. Experience is the only way that young secondary gets better. The fact that both Flowers and Baker were UDFA's is not lost on me, but, the physical ability (according to RAS) is there, it now boils down to how they learn from their mistakes and trust their eyes. Blackmon seemed to play more instinctually at FS versus this year at SS.......he's on the last year of his contract with Cross seemingly breathing down his neck so that problem may solve itself naturally. Pierce doesn't need to sit - he just needs a QB experienced enough to find him on his deep routes and AR5 is not quite there yet. He will be eventually, but not yet. Pierce was drafted to be that downfield threat so let's not forget that he doesn't run the full route tree yet either....
  6. Imagine if you will..................you could trade Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones for Tony Brown straight up and the game will allow it. Then you could make Kelce a WR or Jones an OLB and play the game all willy nilly like! LOL BTW - I played pong as a child too on the old Atari system!
  7. I know who wore what color uniform and what they "stood" for........I wore a uniform for 24 years myself and I am fully aware of what it represents. Too many ignorant folks don't though - that is why I made the statement I made.
  8. Who said I was upset? It was a statement, nothing more, nothing less.......
  9. I know who wore what color - media folks don't care and someone will still likely twist it into something different!
  10. I spent 24 years wearing a uniform......I won't disparage him for the comedic intention! But I feel ya - now if it was a stolen valor situation that is completely different!
  11. Just like Ogletree this year, Hull will be like a free draft pick next year when he returns - as well as Witt, Scott and Leo! Four rookies all on IR getting cold reps and film work done all year. They will help us next year I'm sure.
  12. I'm sure some media *hat is going to call him a racist or something for wearing a Union uniform...........state of our society now!
  13. It’s not about money folks…..neither Hunt or Fournette would sign with the Colts to play backup to JT. No true “name” veteran would sign not knowing what was going on with JT….. Having said that, Sermon has some ability and I think he’s likely better than Funk, Jackson and Goodson (on the PS) and he runs angry from what I recall…..plus there is some comfort level with Steichen I’m sure since he spent last year in Philly
  14. This ain’t Madden….. I am happy most fans are not GMs or coaches. Sheeesh…
  15. Woods and Ogletree as the in line blockers who also runs routes Granson and Mallory as the move tightends Mo is odd man out unfortunately whether he’s traded or straight up released - I would look at the Bears, Eagles or Panthers as landing spots
  16. Nico ran that same skinny post and CJ hit him in stride every time. Baker played the outside leverage BUT the Cover 2 is designed to have a backer drop back into coverage AND safety help over the top. All three have to work in unison. It is not working and everyone is piling on Baker…….go back and watch the game, number 39 wasn’t the only one that got beat on that route. That is not me saying Baker is great, but, young guys with no NFL experience learn on the fly just like Flowers, Brent’s, Jones and Rush (if he gets re-signed)……the only difference is fans will be screaming that Brents and Jones are busts too.
  17. Here’s a thought and it’s just a thought…..perhaps it’s our rookie QB that can’t get Pierce the ball yet…..meaning that as poised as he seems Pierce is the 3rd or 4th option as he scans the field - Pittman, Downs, Granson and then Pierce. Game one he caught a shallow crosser from AR5 and both catches in game 2 were from GM10…….so a more experienced QB was able to scan the field more and found him open. For those naysayers that says he’s a bust already - without using any search engine tell me who’s stat line is who’s after their rookie year wearing a horseshoe….. 64 - 836 - 8 27 - 345 - 0 37 - 576 - 3 60 - 676 - 7 40 - 503 - 1 41 - 593 - 2 I’ll give you a clue - those six are Batman, Pittman, Marvin, Collie, Gonzalez and Pierce - not in that order. So as the great Aaron Rodgers would say R - E - L - A - X Give AR5 time to get comfortable in the pocket enough to look farther than 20 yards down the field.
  18. Good question……I think you’re right he would have to go on our 53 if it’s a waiver claim. If he passes thru waivers then we can get him to the practice squad
  19. We will re-sign him if we can to at least the PS
  20. The season he had a lacerated kidney and torn labrum he went and compounded the issues with his shoulder snowboarding - I was just recalling that incident.......and then sat out all of 2017 before returning to form in 2018. Then the abrupt retirement in 2019. Perhaps my verbiage led you to believe I was speaking of multiple off-season injuries - which I do think he reported to camp in 2019 already with the 'lower leg' injury?
  21. AR5 will learn to pick his spots, remember, Luck did most of his damage off the field to his body. All of Raimann, Nelson, Kelly and Smith had PFF ratings over 70, which is above average so I think you may be a little biased at what you are judging them on (based on the past). Additionally, the Jags were crashing/clogging the running lanes knowing that that was our best gameplan with a rookie QB with 13 collegiate starts under his belt - not to mention they have a lot of talent on that side of the ball. Neither of Hunt nor Fournette will sign with us UNLESS they know the outcome of the JT situation. They want to be starters. Besides, if you read the tea leaves its clear (from CB's press conference) that its Shane that doesn't really care to extend JT. Just go back and listen to the parts about new coaching staff, etc., etc. Pittman looked gassed and Pierce is a two-trick pony - drag routes and go routes. Once AR5 gets (more) comfortable in the pocket you will see Pierce's utilization increase as well. Having said that, I do agree they certainly can't get separation like Downs can that's for sure! We don't need a number one TE persay - we just need Ogletree and Woods to be healthy to block and run seem routes with their big bodies and speed. Granson is already our 'number 1' if you want a title. Agreed, Mo looks old this year and he plods while running - makes me wonder if he's playing thru injury right now on his back? SS called far too many 4th down plays but you have to admit that the offense at least was not boring and stagnant from the play calling perspective. They are artificially limited due to AR5's experience but that will improve as the year goes on in my opinion. With the Cardinals having picks 1 and 2 next year I doubt we get an opportunity to draft MHJ, but damn, it sure would be nice to get him as a talent and for nostalgic purposes to pair with AR5......... I still expect this team to finish right around .500 this year in spite of the young roster.
  22. Lewis Kidd - OG - one of the Saints final cuts signed to the PS. I was wanting him off the waiver wire a couple weeks ago! From Montana State and even started a game last year. Big fella that plays with a mean streak! I like it! 9.26 RAS if you’re curious…..
  23. That was a very fair and impartial breakdown. It was good to hear compliments about scheme, oline play and showing Pittman dogging it..........lol
