  1. As a follow-up to my previous post about CB's on other teams practice squads (and one on ours already) that could boost our secondary if they were to cut Brown and Baker............. I'd love to see any two of those take a roster spot. I mean, what could it hurt? Darren Hall - Colts 6'0" & 190 10 Starts Amani Oruwariye - Jags 6'2" & 200 36 Starts Michael Ojemudia - Rams 6'1" & 200 12 Starts Cam Dantzler - Saints 6'2" & 188 26 Starts Then there is a street free agent available Greedy Williams 6'2" & 185 21 Starts
  2. ^^^^^^THIS, this right here!^^^^^

  4. There are about 5-6 young(ish) corners on some practice squads around the league that could be improvements over Baker and Brown. That could be an alternative to street free agents or massive trades!??! Brown, btw, is in the same boat as Minshew. He is a career backup and special teamer for a reason. When a team can focus on him they can attack him easily. Flowers, Brents and Jones are all young and pretty good. Unfortunately this year is a wash once AR5 went down. So Brents and Jones will just have to learn on the fly!
  5. As I said when AR5 went down, we will go 2-9 at best the rest of the year. I stand by that prediction. Not because GM10 sucks, but he is a backup for a reason- his flaws get exposed when teams can gameplan for him.
  6. Didn't say he would, just saying he is a candidate since Woods is coming back, Ogletree's emergence and Granson/Mallory doing well as the move TE's....
  7. I won't pretend to know what is going on at West 56th Street, however, if the staff already kinda knows that we will not retain a few fella's on the last year of their deals, or where we have great depth, then I'd start there....... Blackmon - has Cross waiting in the wings Kenny Moore II - has decent trade value it seems based on his career and what he is doing this year Mo Alie-Cox - With all of the talent in that room he seems like an easy target Zack Moss - who wouldn't want the second leading rusher in the league Those would likely be the four that I could see moved to a contender. Could we then use the extra draft capitol to take a swipe at the often-rumored Jerry Jeudy? Perhaps.......
  8. Accountable Energetic Leader Progressive play designer and caller Uses the assets he has versus forcing his assets to fit in Still learning the when to be Uber aggressive vs take the points or punt Players ‘seem’ to believe in him Should be the type of coach that ‘could’ draw free agents
  9. It is legal…..lol Thats a pretty bold statement to make though….. I will be watching it unfold
  10. Should wear the black helmets with the white uniforms and the white helmets with the blue uniforms
  11. Can I partake in what you’re smoking? You really should share……..
  12. The Front Office will get the obligatory apology letter from the League Office about the officiating on Monday…. You should never let the officiating dictate the outcome but those three previous turnovers were the backbreaker for the Colts. We outplayed them outside of those Minshews aka mistakes…
  13. They have from time to time. Just have to pay attention.
  14. I can't say much for the skills as he only became a starter when he transferred to MSU - but the size, speed and length measurements certainly add up. Perhaps our Secondary Coaches see moldable clay in him? I see what they are trying to build - would probably rather have Rush but they obviously cut him for a reason outside of physical abilities as they've had chances to sign him and have signed Darren Hall and Ameer Speed now instead. Brents is 6'3" Speed is 6'3" Jones is 6'2" Flowers is 6'1" (on IR) Baker is 6'1" Hall is 6'0" (On PS) Brown is 6'0" Moore is only 5'9" but his wingspan makes him like 6'6" if I recall correctly............. They are definitely trying to get longer at corner and it seems trying to mx coverages more with press man and zone (mostly) with Jones and Brents on the edges.
  15. There goes the neighborhood! lol The silver lining is GM10 will go 2-9 the rest of the season and put us back in the top ten come draft day……..
  16. So all that really says is that you’ve been a whiner for years…… Did you whine about the 3-4 we had under Grigson too? Or how about the Tampa 2 under Dungy and Caldwell? How about Jim Mora’s defensive philosophy with Vic Fangio in the 3-4? What would you suggest they do since history says they’ve ran both alignments, zone and man alike?
  17. Why don’t we let 29 and 40 get their sea legs under them before asking for the DC’s head…… But, this is typical of “fans” that overreact when the team loses……somebody is the scapegoat. Funny how when the defense plays well no mention of how well Gus coaches…. How about the short field handed the defense on 3 of the 4 turnovers?
  18. Hahaha no worries I figured if you reread it you’d see that….. As far as the trade goes, if it goes, I will support it as a change of scenery move that is betting on traits… However, not sure he helps now with GM10 and his lack of downfield throwing ability so the FO will likely pass on the trade!
  19. Double Edged sword here - I like GM10 and think he is good in spurts BUT when teams have had time to prepare for him he typically has not won games in the past - even with the REALLY GOOD Eagles last year. So While I hope for a win I continue with the mindset of getting these younger players experience, play competitively each game and enjoy watching them compete. I will worry about winning in 2024 because I just want to enjoy the ride right now!
  20. Debating about adding Jerry Jeudy is just kinda dumb. Is He Better Than Who We Have The answer should be a resounding yes............. He was the Biletnikoff winner after all AND has produced at the NFL level in spite of only 'serviceable' QB play. If all of you that are clamoring for a Pittman extension aren't onboard with Jeudy then I am at a loss for words. 177 - 2517 - 14.2 - 9 over 46 games - Jeudy 258 - 2807 - 10.9 - 12 over 51 games - Pittman Different styles of play but similar numbers. Just like adding AJ Brown (which I am not comparing the players, but the parallels) to DeVonte Smith this could help elevate AR5 and GM10 and the passing game. It also adds a "1st Round" talent WR to the room thus affording an opportunity in the draft to pick a different need (like CB) perhaps. This allows Alec Pierce to grow as well without the pressure to perform - though I do like him as a slot WR because of his blocking! There are so many ripples that could happen from this trade it's a no brainer to me!
  21. Funny how this thread was started by someone during the first half of the Rams game to passive aggressively whine about how poorly they think this team is playing…… I think some of y’all would complain that water is too wet for them or their ice cream is too cold…..
  22. Unfortunate for Flowers, he was really starting to blossom!!!!! Next man up….. Jaylon Jones. He and Brents on the boundary and Moore in the slot. They just released that Darren Hall kid from the practice squad so I would bet they sign two DB’s this week. One to the active roster and one to the PS!
  23. Don’t you put that evil on him…….lol
