  1. Hes on the high side of good so far. I think Ballard has a slightly longer leash. But the clock doesnt even start ticking until they install "their qb". Should be next year. Then I think Reich has 3 years to "prove it". Ballard likely has 5 (to try a different coach)...just my opinion, but with as fair minded as irsay seems to be it sounds reasonable to me.
  2. I think it's really hard to know until we have some stability at the qb position. Strong front office This year were a middle of the road, try to win in the trenches. Playing a stubornly reoccuring soft zone D, with a slightly overrated offensive line. An anemic rushing attack. While showcasing an entirely immobile qb prone to periods of efficiency and turnovers in equal measure......who, judging by his family size, throws with his best ball placement off the field. IDK, is that an identity?
  3. No interest in long term sustainability....... Double mortgage the farm now! For who? The primary missing piece is the qb........and you named your profile after him and the very thing you think he's incapable of going on (unless you literally mean "running" in which case we all agree). This post is awesome on so many levels! Remember, if Rivers does go on a run you're not allowed to enjoy it. Sit it out bro.
  4. Ty had a TD, and a solid rac erased by penalties as well as a questionable incompletion on a sideline toe drag. One bad drop admittedly, but not done-zo. Hes also gotten hidden yardage in pi calls and still draws coverage. He may be on the decline, not be a true #1, but I think he still contributes. He does have to solve the drops tho. I think that's as much mental as physical....
  5. I think Ballard makes a move for a qb in the draft. It's time, the roster is deep and young enough to allow it. The head coach is settled in, Luck's retirement is no longer "shocking". All of the surprises he's endured are in the rear view mirror. Selecting "his qb" is the only thing left for him to do. It will simultaneously define his tenure as the colts gm and determine the length said tenure. I believe he gets one shot at it and it will buy him a minimum of 3 more years in the gm seat. If The kid doesn't develop it'll be time for a new era in Indy. E
  6. I'd still take cam. I think Rivers gives us a chance to make a run, but I'd still take cam.
  7. I can respect that. Personally it just makes me shake my head and laugh a little........
  8. Lol yea as a fan it brings me great shame.
  9. Honestly for an organization that will hang an "AFC championship participant" banner, a ring in the season of covid would be a step up.....no shame my man.
  10. I have a feeling this team is going to get hot at the right time......homerism? Probably. But I do think a ring is possible this year with rivers under center.
  11. Reich was almost crying in his presser after the Bengals win. Dudes under more pressure than we think.
  12. I got a "personal attack" strike last year cuz I called the teens in Friday the 13th d-bags......its hard to know what will fly on the forum. Best be careful.
  13. Tanking is intentionally losing to better your draft position. You're describing sucking. Different spplication of incompetence.
  14. New blood can only help at this point! Get that spark.
  15. Aaron Rodgers. He'll come in angry. We need somebody with some damn fire! Wish it could have been this year the "Love/hate bowl" woulda been good watchin.
  16. Darnold may be broken mentally. I'd be wary of assuming hes the same player they drafted. Guy "sees ghosts"......
  17. Way to early. Its rivers show until we're eliminated from contention. He hasnt been as bad as it looks on paper. I'm confident the offense will start to gel soon. I thought it was gonna be vs the browns but that clearly wasnt the case.
  18. You're right to a degree. There is a b.s. meter though. It erodes credibility with fans and eventually players. Just look at Pagano/Grigson. They undeniably hurt the franchise. And had lost fans, locker room, and ownership by the bitter end. Same language is being used now. True unifing messages are all encompassing. you want to build a foundation for a "culture", mean every word you say no matter who you say it to. You dont gotta put people on blast, just be direct......anyway, just my opinion. Again tho, you're assessment accurately depicts the real
  19. What bothers me most about Reich (bothered me about Pagano too) is the soft language in pressers. "Credit the other team", "outplayed in all three phases", "outcoached", "they get paid too", and the absolutely maddening (not john) "it's hard to win in the nfl". These are the touchstones of a soft organization imo. When losing is excused it becomes acceptable and accountibility drops........ Just once say we're all thinking....."distgusted", "absolutely cannot happen in that situation" "da#nit donald", anything! Whew, rant over sorry folks.....I think reich is a good to gre
  20. Reich wasnt honest about vinny last year and the language is the same. "Hes a pro" "the least of my worries" etc. Personally I think he knows. Brissett is the same guy in a different package tho. With a poorer understanding of the system. Weve seen his peak. Either ride or die with rivers (our best chance to win) or see what's what with Eason (our best chance for a higher draft pick). Brissett is somewhere inbetween so unfortunately his contribution isnt in our best interest either way. We definitely have the worst starting qb situation (assuming rivers cant get
  21. I think its Mo alie cox thread......with a side of Rivers.
  22. I hope you're right, and personally am relaxed but Im never comfortable counting a win b4 the game is played. This week we're 0-1.
  23. After we win the SB they'll be known as "the blue eyed miracle". After we win the SB they'll be known as "the blue eyed miracle".
  24. Same math we used with vinny last year lol. You're right tho, aside from rivers it wasn't as bad as it looks. I'm still optimistic but rivers has to be better.

Pointless argument bro (or sis). Your argument is there was no other outcome than a safety. I disagree. I'm not saying rivers is trash. He generally plays well. His mistakes, although infrequent, are too much to overcome against good teams. If he can avoid those great, today he gave up 9 points. We lost by 9. It doesnt bear overthinking.
