  1. GM is not our backup, he’s been our starter for at least 14 weeks maybe 15, almost a whole season.  Shane called a good play and if were him I wouldn’t regret it for a second. He trusted our players to execute and they didn’t. Regardless still a good play call.

Why? I like the Texans and Stroud better than those Duuuvvvall guys. Stroud doesn't make many mistakes and he is years ahead of TLaw as a rookie. I like watching Stroud play better than watching TLaw play. Stroud makes guys like Nico Collins, who would be a journeyman with other QBs. TLaw has far more pass catching talent than Stroud too, thanks to Khan opening up his wallet. You must have a bias there.

I read this and kept saying Ty Law the whole time I saw TLaw lol

Can anybody chime in on this? Based upon the above updates standings..

If Colts win & the Steelers, Bengals, & Texans all lose - aren’t we almost assuredly getting a spot even with a loss next week?

All the teams would be 9-8 at best. We would have the best conference record & divisional record over the Texans.

If that happened I believe the bengals would have to lose their last game as well. If they won, colts and bengals would be 9-9 and bengals have the head to head. We win out it’s looking good.

  4. I don’t understand this whole “they have history on us so we’re going to lose” thing. Who cares. Different players and different coaches. It’s not the same. Colts beat the chiefs a lot but that doesn’t mean the colts will beat the chiefs. Just ask Andrew.

  5. I went to Peyton’s very first game in 98” against the dolphins ( I was 8 )

living in Colorado it’s hard to go to games unless it’s in Denver or KC, though I’ve been to Indy for games a handful of times. Oh and training camp A LOT.

I refuse to work sundays because I can’t miss the game.. even in 2011 lol

ive been to Andrews last game.. playoff game against chiefs..  honestly one of the worst days of my life.. 7 hour drive turned into 14 because it was an ice storm.. late to the game.. wet.. cold.. can’t sit because of snow.. and of course we lost.

    I love the colts! 😀

  6. To be fair.. I get this post. A lot of players that play well under rookie contracts get extensions before they are up. That’s something Ballard does. I also believe that’s why JT was frustrated earlier this year. And Pitt deserves one imo.

Did anybody find out what happens in this scenario??

Colts, Texans, & Jaguars all finish 11-6.

    Colts > Texans via tiebreaker

    Jaguars > Colts via tiebreaker

    Texans > Jaguars via tiebreaker

All 3 teams have a 4-2 divisional record.

Would it come down to AFC Record? Or would Jags get it outright?

Jags win tie breaker because it goes to record between the 3 teams. Jags are 3-1 us or texans best will be 2-2.

Not at all. Decent chance. As long as we handle our business.

Dolphins have a tough trio to finish season. Could see them finish at 11-6

We beat Ravens, so have that on them, if we end up tied.

Chiefs I could see winning out, but could just as easy lose 1 or 2. Then would have to look at the tie breakers a little deeper.

That’s exactly my thinking. Obviously we need to the jags to fall as well. Chiefs have the easiest schedule out of all the top seeds imo but I can see them losing a few. If colts and Texans win out until we meet week 18, crazy to think that could be a game for the 1 seed.

wishful thinking.. just happy to see us where we are right now!

    Positives:
Pittman and Pierce:  Both had HUGE games today

Colts pass rush:  Not a lot of sacks but put pressure on Levis at key moments

Colts discipline:  this is why not committing penalties is so important

Special teams:  two blocks (okay one called a fumble but it was a block), Rigo did a good job punting, and Matt Gay was perfect.  Only bad play was the run back but that was more on the offense.

Shane and taking the points:  just stayed with it all day and didn’t panic when they were down 10 and just took what was there rather than trying to force TDs.

Buckner:  no one will be more happy to see Grover back than him but man did he come to play.

Secondary:  maybe Jones worst day but the rest of the secondary was good, including Baker.  Kenny Moore continues to be great.

Down the field offense:  Gardner can do it so let’s see it more!

    Bad:

Colts run defense.  They were decent on the inside game but man they never figured out or adjusted to the outside run defense.  Grover back next week should help but he won’t help outside.

Moss:  infective today.   Not all on him.  Run blocking was not good and Shane’s play calling with Moss wasn’t great.

Gardner’s second half:  just ugly until overtime after that 10 minute drive to open the second half.
Shane play calling in the second half:  I wasn’t impressed.  He seemed determined to run the ball up the middle no matter how infective it was.  With that said he did uncork that call in OT and I thought he did a good job in the first half.
Tackling:  I know I am a broken record on this but it continues to be a problem.

    I like it all.
but.. we did have 6 sacks today. All we’re huge to the victory

  10. I think pittman is a number 1, I understand why people think he's a 2 though. He hasn't had any good qb play in his career and still produces. Idk how many qbs he's had but it's a lot. 2 in this season alone and still top 3 in receptions. Give him a qb like luck as the quarterback and we wouldn't even consider him a number 2.

    I want to ask this.

If Richardson shows a ton of improvement but Colts record is bad enough to take Caleb Williams.

    What do Colts do?

Draft to build around a AR team or pick Caleb?

AR is going to get better IMO but fans are going to freak about the Losses.

I also say, Colts were not terrible today... Growing pains!!!

    Three letters....
