  1. If he holds out all year he'll never see a nice contract. He'll be lucky if a contender will take him on a lower offer if he is smart enough to sign. LeVeon 2.0
  2. In all honesty he probably asked to be traded to a contender. He came to Indy expecting to be on a competitive roster.
  3. I read Taylor changed the picture on his Twitter from running out the tunnel at LOS to him on Vacation. Took Colts out of his Bio and liked a comment stated he only showed up for camp to not be fined...smh
  4. I'm curious to opinions on Taylor's trade value. Is it a possible option the Colts could consider. Could it land us value at oline or cb depth...? I don't think we would get his value in draft picks...
  5. Zeke and Gurley feel off. JT should get Chubb money in my opinion if a healthy go. Cmac got over paid IMHO. But 49ers were in contention mode and felt that was a superbowl move. We are in build mode with ?s I support Ballard wanting to see Taylor healthy and how the oline looks in this new scheme before pulling the strings on a contract.
  6. He will end up taking less money somewhere because he will begrudge Indy. I hope he doesn't become LeVeon Bell. If I were him I would try to sign with a team that is in a 🏆 position and will pay him 8 to 11mil over fighting for a bigger payday.
  7. I agree but the Jets official uniform has got to be the worst...
  8. Definately a fair take. I think implementing a new scheme can slow the offense down a bit though. I really wish Taylor was out there getting reps and building continuity with the Oline and new QBs though.
  9. I think Taylor should take a stance a seek the contract he desires. But once you start using PUP as negotiation tactics your character which has been great might crumble. Always be the best player you can be and work with your team as much as possible. If you don't feel the value your self worth then seek a better deal. Show up not PUP. Your under contract, keep your character intact when trying to prove your value. Don't become the next LeVeon Bell...
  10. JT: SHOW ME THE MONEY COLTS: STAY HEALTHY AND SHOW UP AND WE GOT YOU JT: I GOT YOU, I'LL SHOW (P)UP! MANNING: OUR ID*0T(RB)KICKER...
  11. I am jumping a little because of his agent calling for a trade. But he was said to be a full go then a league wide RB pow wow goes down where players say they can exaggerate injuries to hold out. Poof Taylor is on PUP. That's not reaching to see it that way. But if he does sit out over pay I will loose respect for his character. He should be a teammate and participate with full effort and prove himself always. He can voice his opinions on pay and negotiate while being a stud instead of a dud. Time will tell.
  12. Taylor just had surgery and had a lot of miles in college. He's a stud and might be an iron horse like Gore but prove your back and than get your money. If he balls out like 2021 he will get a fair contract. With Colts or somewhere else.
  13. I'm not 100 percent sure. But it definately seems the wear tear of the position and the volume of quality runners to the percentage of RB usage would make it strategic for teams. Why pay an aging/injury risk when a young guy typically can perform adequately for less pay. CB and WRs need more time to develop but RBs are usually league ready. I think a good oline and blocking scheme/play calling trumps pure RB talent 75 to 80% of the time.
  14. I think something to 2-3yrs is fair with 11-13mil a yr. If he expects more than it is what it is. He should understand the team wants to see him back at full health first. But I guess he's seeing green now.
  15. But that is changing because RBs are more reliable and often better in their first contracts.
  16. Some teams don't make good business deals. The 49ers are in championship form, we are far from it. Got to stay flexible to create a better roster. RBs are a dime a dozen.
  17. Taylor is under contract and if he doesn't want to play it out and prove his health and his worth to get a deserving contract trade him. I thought he had the character to at least stick out and stand strong in adversity but I was wrong. He is more than likely faking the PUP injury to hold so I say trade him for Oline or CB depth. Really our run game comes down to oline execution and play design anyways. RBs are a dime a dozen make the smart business decision and make the overall roster better.
  18. It wouldn't be in Taylor's interest to use PUP as a hold out tool. It would show the Colts or other teams he's not full health. Using PUP than sitting out would only lower his value. He's digging himself a hole if this is his approach...
  19. True but it is a business's and sometimes it just doesn't make sense to dump money at the easiest positions to fill. NFL running back might be the easiest position to find great talent at a fair price.
  20. I agree but McCaffery is on a championship caliber team that could afford that. The Colts really hinder themselves with that kind of contract with the state of the franchise. Taylor is my favorite player and deserves it but I'm not sure Indy can build how they want with that kind of contract this year. We have to see what's up with one of the highest paid olines in football, and hope it can be fixed.
  21. I think in the 11-12 ball park is fair. Maybe some bonuses if he puts up big numbers or is utilized at a high percentage and stays healthy.
