go back into the training camp threads and see for yourself. I'm not gonna do your leg work for ya. Heck, he even went thru pre-game warm ups in front of the entire world last week...
You're the one who made the claim so you're the one who should be backing up tour claim. I'm pretty sure I've read the TC threads here and can't recall him saying anything like that last week. Nor did I find anything on google.

Beyond what we are actually paying in terms of dollars, the question for me is will there be MORE cap hit than what has been previously budgeted in this year or next year?
An accelerator, unable to amortize, or some technicality that shoves more cap into this year or next year.
I suspect a retirement doesn't do that and, at worse, we will having the cap allocation we planned on having the next few years. At best, some of it goes away.
Do you mena pre-Luck retirement? If yes, we will have lot more cap space. Not so much for this year but it's not like it matters. Next year a lot more.

He is getting paid this year as well in full, and some for next year.
Comes out to around $80 M I believe.
No, we have cap charge for this year and next, because that money has already been paid to Andrew (his signing bonus that he received in '16 and '17) and looks like Colts don't try to recoup it back.

So about $80-85 M then?
Not bad considering the biggest chunk of that came after 2016 and he only played one season since. It's 45M actually. 27M in '17 and 18M last season. He was paid 30M in 2016 but he did play that year.

I just hope Lucks career isn't wasted like Manning's was under Dun-gy.
Peyton is seen by pretty much everyone as one of the best QBs/players to ever play the game.
His career wasn't wasted.

Yes they can. Khris Middleton and Milwaukee are currently in talks to redo his deal after he declined his player option with them.
Middleton had a contract that was 4 years or longer and the Bucks have his bird rights. That doesn't apply for Randle and the Pelicans.

Sure they could. They could have given him a new deal.
They couldn't have done that, CBA doesn't allow it.

Poster That Guy says Lawrence Taylor in ‘86. Off the top of my head, I would’ve guessed JJ Watt a few years back....
Either way.... it’s rare....
Watt was the first runner-up 2014. But lost by 28 votes to Rodgers. No other defensive player has been the first runner-up (or higher) than Watt since LT won over 30 years ago.

Yeah but the OL still has issues, probably should have addressed that.

The Eagles would like to trade down for an early 3rd and 4th Round pick.
The Jets @CR91 .... the Jags @Finball .... and the Bucs @John Hammonds 3rd and 4th rounders would all be equitable swaps.
Any takers?
I’ll give it 15 minutes and if no offer happens I’ll select a player.
Jags will accept that offer.

I'll take the Rams, but I really dont have time to study for them. I'll be guessing at best.
ILB, interior OL, edge (OLB). Maybe CB after that.
