I blame the Colts playoff failure on one person: Grover Stewart. He chose to ingest one or more PED’s, and missed SIX games in mid-season. There, I said it.

Unless the FO is willing to move up, the Colts will have no shot at Bowers. Every GM in the league knows the value of a Kelce, Laporte, Kittle, et al. He’ll be long gone. Sad though, NONE of the Colts current TE’s will consistently help our young QB (and receiving corps) the way a Brock Bowers would.

IMO - the team needs an absolute offensive game-changer at 1-15. Is Bowers that? If so, Ballard needs to go get him. No more “value pick” trading back. It’s blue chip time. JMO, of course.

It's simply recency bias, IMO.

Two different styles of QB playing in two different types of NFL, IMO. Manning RAN the offense. Never saw him wear a wristband with the playlist on it. Both great, both at the top in their play time.

Sadly, the beating he took over the years caught up with him.

And then, there are those of us fortunate to have seen Unitas play. :^)
