  1. Yeah, I have never understood why someone always has to come in and tell someone else what they should or shouldn't write.  Discussions and speculation is what this forum is all about.  So I don't get the post.  I also don't get people who think speculating what might happen is not something you should.  Really?  We are either talking about what happened or speculating what will happen.

    All we are saying, is give free speech a chance.

  2. It really tickes me off that we let Nevis go.  That guy gave 110% every play, I have liked most of the coaches and Grigson's moves but this one I DO NOT like at all!  He always played hard and was a guy you would want in a locker room.  I wish him the best of luck in what ever comes his way

    I agree that I think it was a mistake to let go of Nevis.  The only rationale I can think of is that Nevis is not the type to tie up two lineman so that linebacker makes the play.  He more knives through the gab and puts pressure on or blows up the play.  I would have liked to have seen him kept as a tackle when we do run a 4 man front on passing downs as he shows good penetration.  My guess is a 4-3 team will pick him up like the Bears or Bengals and he will excel.

  3. There will most likely be a few more cuts and pickups over the next few days.

    Thanks.  I know this wouldn't have happened, but I would have liked to have seen McGlynn cut and Ijalana kept.  That has nothing to do with skills they have shown as Ijalana has done nothing.  But we already know McGlynn is at best a utility backup.  Ijalana has a much higher ceiling.  I hope that he can be signed to PS, if he is eligible. I also liked Emmett Cleary.  I would like to see those two make PS.

  4. The only move that are surprising is Nevis.  I predict he will rebound with another team and do very well.  Ijalana, I am disappointed he was cut.  Perhaps he can still be on the PS. Maybe he needs more time to get stronger.

  5. Don't know if any of these are repeats: Ben Utt, Randy Dixon, Matt Bouza, O'Brien Alston, Ray Donaldson, Jason Belser.

    I remember I thought O'Brien Alston was going to a be a real solid player.  Injuries really shorted his career.

  6. Brown has always been a solid back.  I think we always have to consider the lack of run blocking.  Look at Andre Brown of the Giants.  He was on the Colts and didn't do anything.  Goes back to the Giants and he is a pretty solid back.  If Donald Brown had good blocking, he would be a 1200 yard RB I believe.

  7. Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;

    I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.

    The domination of 2nd rate players is not a great task;

    Must we all remember Marcus Howard had two sacks in one game;

    So let it be with Caesar. The noble Joe Thomas

    Had his hands full with mightly Caesar:

    If it were so, it was an ambitious sign,

    And ambitious hath Caesar answer'd it.

    Here, beneath the lights of the Lucas Oil Stadium--

    For Joe Thomas is an honourable man;

    So are they all, all honourable men--

    Come I speak to squander the great hope of Caeser.

    He who knocks quarterbacks down with one hand:

    But he does have five sacks in preseason;

    And that does lead the league.

    He has brought much to a faulty pass rush

    But these preseason games are so faulty:

    Did this in Caesar seem ambitious?

    When Bjorn Werner was blocked, Caesar kept coming:

    Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:

    Yet Chuck Pagano says he was ambitious;

    And Chuck Pagano is an honourable man.

    You all did see him tossing offensive tackles around

    He thrice slammed the quarterback to the ground,

    With one called back for penalty: was this ambition?

    Yet Greg Manusky says he was ambitious;

    And, sure, he is an honourable man.

    I speak not sway you about the powers of Caeser,

    But here I am to speak what I do know.

    She how might Caeser brings it on every play:

    What cause withholds you then, to doubt him?

    O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,

    And men have lost their faith in dominant pass rushers;

    My heart does say that mighty Caeser is for real,

  8. I was so happy to see him play a good part of the game.  Looked really good for a guy who hadn't participated in most of training camp.  I do hope he can get that starting job and have McGlynn packing. And keep Ijalana.

  9. Caesar is the next coming of Ted Hendricks for the Colts.  Same height, although Rayford is much heavier.   Boy he has strong hands.  He gets that hand on a QB and goodbye.

  10. The talent is there.. If we can coach him up this kid can end up being a monster..

    Doesn't he have 5 sacks or so so far this pre season?

    How is a 27 year old man a kid?

  11. How has Walden looked to you guys? As a rusher, I lover Werner with his hands in the ground. Have noticed much of Walden

    All I notice is Caesar.  lol  jk  Walden was so-so

  12. That may well indeed be true unitaswestand, but just because Mr. Williams was a good athlete in high school, that doesn't mean much on a NFL level. Just because I excelled in Public Speaking in Forensics in high school that doesn't mean that SW1 is destined to become the Chief Of Staff at the WhiteHouse now does it. Not a criticism; just an observation. Thank you.

    Point taken.  But that was more of a FYI
