  1. Hey maybe you are all right.  All I know is this.  Same team as last year with a better QB.  Same results.  You want to blame Bradly, well who is the coach who kept Bradley?  Hmmmmm.  So you have a mediocre coach, surrounded by mediocre coaches, with mediocre players, a mediocre record every year.  I guess he was hired by a worse than mediocre GM.  Ballard is a joke.  And it appears Irsay loves being a mediocre owner at best.  Shane Steichen was hired to improve the team.  Same with Reich before him.  None of them have improved the team.  I don't want to hear it's his first season.  Look at the Eagles and Colts former OC.  So laugh at me, like you all did when I told you how bad Reich was.  He was hired to improve the team and has not done that.  This is the same team, with the same record, that bowed out of the playoffs in the exact same way.  Mediocre at best is what the Colts and the Colts staff are.  So in a few years when Irsay finally decides Ballard needs to go we may get a decent coach and a decent team, but until then I stand by my words.  Mediocre coach, same as last coach.  Does not have the cajones to win when needed.  Sure the defense is awful, but you blame the head coach for keeping the * on staff.  And if not fired this year it proves my point.  How any of you sat through this season and were happy is beyond me.  I expect more, but I guess the fans have gotten used to mediocrity.  Have fun with bad draft picks and little to no playoff runs.  That is what the Colts are in for the next 5 years.  Same ole, Same ole.

  2. You all can tell me how wrong I am, but I am so tired of a coach that can beat the top teams in the NFL during the regular season and then choke last 2 games and fail to make playoffs.  Seriously, ATL and HOU and you can't beat either of them/  ATL looked like they had no game plan and were shocked ATL could actually play football.  We have had this coach the last 5 years.  And what a horrid play call on 4th an 1 with game on the line.  Give to your horse, Taylor.  Same Colts.  Same coach.  Same lame calls. .

Not really, we lost today and still have 15 games to go. As a Colts fan on a Colts site why should I unless I think we are really bad. We started 0-3 last year and still ended up 9-6 at one point. I mean be happy like all the others that said we suck. This place is becoming toxic.

The fact that you say that proves how horrible the GM and coach are.  My goodness.  It so toxic.  You know what's toxic?  The garbage Ballard and Reich put on the field.  That's toxic.  Has nothing to do with people on this forum.  These 2 are awful and it sad you cannot see that.  Being a fan is great but being a disillusioned fan is not.

  4. Jealous much?  That's what happens when you buy the nonsense coolaid shoved down your throats in this we love Ballard and Reich town.  Chris Ballard is absolutely awful at his job.  Didn't address left tackle, didnt address kicker, didnt address QB, and didnt address WR.  Reich is an awful and I mean awful play caller.  maybe the worst the NFL has ever seen.  Reich make Pagano look like a genius coach.  And Grisgson is 10 times the GM Chris Ballard ever was.  But hey.  Grigson was a meanie and ballard is not.  Good luck with the softest team in the NFL.  Pathetic.

  5. I am sorry but I have to say this.  Why are we moving a thread about the Colts draft to another thread?  This forum name is Colts Football and it says "All things Colts football".  It does not say "All things Colts football except Draft, Scouting, and Free Agency talk."  Always amazes me when something like this is moved.  It was where it belonged.  Period.  Quit messing with stuff.  No reason to move.  This whole website has went straight downhill since the change.  No more desktop wallpapers unless you want them on a stupid phone or tablet.  Horrible navigation.  Awful desktop wallpapers.  Basically I don't come here much since it has been ruined, but when I do and see this I wonder what the heck are you all thinking who work on this?  Its an awful website and has been ruined.

  6. This is coaching. Period. When Luck retires we have no pressure to win. Coaches pull off 5-2 and beat KC. Now they are expected to win. They go 1-6. Today. No pressure. Can't make playoffs. Lo and behold. They look like they did at 5-2. Reich flat out can't coach at all. Has no clue how to manage. He's lost if there is any pressure or meaning to game. This game made me mad and it should every Colts fan. It should also worry u about the Colts future. This is it with Reich. Mediocre. Good when no pressure. As today. Butt cheeks clinched tight when something on the line. He's awful under pressure.

  7. So after almost 2 weeks of disbelief and heart break I finally decided to accept reality and remove my Luck Desktop Wallpaper and add my new favorite QB, Jacoby Brissett.  However, much to my dismay, there is no love for Jacoby in the Wallpaper section.  Why?  Please get us a Desktop Wallpaper for our new QB.

    Thanks,

So he was the OC on that play and he was the one who sent out the personnel? You sure about that?

None of it matters.  He was the Head Coach.  It's on him.  It's that easy.  Just like it was on Grigson.  And like that whole wasted 6 years with Pagano was on Irsay.

  9. Looks like they were designed for the Church Teams.  If I want to see a woman covered up that much I will just look at my wife.  Those are horrendous and the Colts should be ashamed of even thinking of using them.  Wow.  All they need is a bible.

No, it's not. He shouldn't. Dungy coached in the 2000's, and this is a new era. Analytics (used in a proper way) never were more important part of the game than nowadays. If you look around the league, everyone's doing it. Because it works. Ten years ago it didn't work, but now, it works, because the game (and the rules) changed a lot since.

That call, for example at the goal line at 4th and goal was a high percent success rate call there. That was a well designed play, the offense knew it, they practiced it countless times, and they prepared it for exactly these situations. This is why that play was in the playbook. The offense failed to execute it, but it does not change the fact, that it was the right call there. Vina could've missed the FG there as well. You EXPECT that those high percentage plays be executed, and you can't judge the call by the result. If Wilkins only reached 3-4 inches further, it would've been a TD and we would not talk about that call at all, despite, it would've been the same exact call.

I'm not saying Reich was perfect yesterday. I think he has issues with clock management, which showed yesterday as well as in some previous games. He has to improve in that area. But regarding those 4th down calls, all 3 of them was a well designed play, which the team failed to execute yesterday. So they lost. The right answer is go back and practice these plays more, so you execute it better next time. (A better RB, a better WR would've helped. In the future, I am sure an improved, more talented, more experienced personnel will help. As it will help to reduce the number of drops too. But Reich has to trust his current team, otherwise he'll end up calling bad plays eventually. He can't throw away a well designed play, because he doesn't trust our WR's to catch the ball. For the exact same reason, he can't throw away a goal line opportunity because he does not trust our offense.)

Analytics has cost us two games this year when the division was ripe for the taking.  Do I need to tell you what you and Frank can do with your analytics.  Guess what?  Analytics don't win games.  Smart football and play calling and scoring.  Of yea.  How many points did analytics score Sunday.  0.  That's how many.  What a load of nonsense!!

  11. Keep going for it on 4th down and he can find a coaching job elsewhere.  Period.  Frank lost the game period.  He was awful on Sunday and if he keeps making stupid lame 4th and 1 calls like this his time will be limited int he NFL.  Take the points and you win the game.  Period.  Frank cost us the game and most likely a playoff appearance.  IMHO he needs to change his approach or I am going to want a new coach.  I cannot live with someone who gives games away. That's 2 this year he just gave away going for it on 4th down.  Good coaches do not give away games.  Frank is yet to prove he is a good coach.  As of right now IMHO he is not.

  12. I read and I read and I read and yet no one can explain one simple thing to me.  Where are the play makers?  And don't give me TY Hilton.  He's a great number 2 WR at best.  He can't carry Marvin and Reggie's lunch pails for them.  I have said it before I will say it again.  Mr. Irsay should be ashamed of what he has done to Andrew Luck.  Peyton got HOF Coach, HOF Offensive Coordinator, HOF Offensive Line Coach, HOF Def End in Freeny, Close to HOF Def End in Mathis, HOF WR in Marvin, HOF WR in Reggie, HOF Left Tackle in Tarik Glenn, A great Center, HOF GM, HOF Running back Marshall Faulk, but wait another HOF Running back in Edge.  Luck has had rookie GMs, coaches, coordinators, and no talent at all put around him.  Ballard is no better than Grigson.  There is a startling lack of talent on this team in the 2nd year.  Yep it's going to turn around in the 3rd year.  It's not.  You don't have enough draft picks.  What's next 1st round right guard, 2nd round right tackle?  At this rate Ballard will have the Offensive line built in another 3 years, then we only have to worry about the defense and some play makers on Offense.  And some of you buy into this nonsense.  And that's what it is nonsense.  This team is awful.  Worse than last year's team.  There is no improvement as the year is progressing.  As a matter of fact it is getting worse.  They are now getting gashed in the run game and can't make a sack at all.  This team is awful.  Last year's team was awful.  Grigson was bad, but Ballard is no better.  Actually a lot worse.  Grigson's overall record?  49-31 I think.  Ballard's?  5-17.  Yep that's right.  Ballard will have to go 44-14 in the next 3.5 years to even match Grigson's record.  Not going to happen.  This team is going backwards.  Has been since Peyton left and nothing is changing that with this regime.  Nothing.  It's a joke.  But then again except for the Peyton years and a brief stint with Harbaugh, the Indianapolis Colts have always been a joke.  Polian made the Colts who they were and Ballard is no Polian.  But hey, can't wait till next year when all of you are telling us about the 4 year plan.

That team had the hull of Peyton's SB run team. Grigson doesn't get credit for Wayne, Mathis, Freeney, Bethea, Vinny, ect.

There's a reason that team won games and it didn't have a damn thing to do with Grigson.

Yes those 2 8-8 seasons were full of Polian left overs.  Get real.  They weren't.  They were just Grigson's team and they were far and I mean far better than anything Ballard has put on the field yet.  I give you 5-17.  Ballards record.  Grigson's worse record was, wait for it.  That's right 16-16 over 2 years.  Ballard is, wait for it, wait for it.  Yes that is right 5-17 over 2 years.  He is actually worse with Luck than without him.  Right now it looks like he has no idea what he is doing, but I am willing to give him 5 years.  And in 5 years you apologists can be telling me just how great he is.  Seriously.  I see posts on here talking about Ballard being a genius.  Polian was a genius.  Ballard is a loser until he proves otherwise.  Let me see what is the record of Ballard again.  Oh that's right.  5-17.  Until it's better he is right.  Ballard has no idea what he is doing.  Sorry.  he doesn't.  PS:  If you are going to rebuild a team and be 50 million under the cap or whatever ridiculous number it is, then you better put a decent product on the field.  Garbage is what we have on the field.  No and I mean no WRS.  We waste our picks in the upper part of the draft on a friggin Guard.  Not a game changer.  Sorry, but the only clueless person is Ballard.  He has absolutely destroyed this team.  It isn't looking good either.  How any of you can watch this garbage and say things are looking better is beyond me.  You are lying to yourselves.

6 games in to essentially a brand new team, yeah lets throw him to the wolves. Got it.

He's right.  All I heard was wait until Luck is back. He's back.  The Colts are awful  Worse than last year.  Worse than the year before that and definitely worse than any year Grigson and Chuck were here.  I wanted Chuck and Grigson gone, but Ballard is going backwards folks.  It seems a bunch of you are blind to the fact this team is worse than a Grigson team and that was baaad.  This team is absolutely horrible.

  15. I am back and I will say this.  The new website has now been up for 3 months.  3 months and this thing is still a steaming pile of dog crap.  How in the world any sane person thinks this is normal business is beyond me.  This is the worst implementation of a website I have ever seen.  I used to come here daily.  You can see I complained 6 weeks ago and still no desktops pics.  No way to maneuver fluidly.  No friendly drop downs for PC users just a mish mash of garbage and links designed to work with a tablet.  It looks like someone who knows absolutely nothing about designing a website designed it and then went crap, a ton of stuff does not work.  Let's just leave this big steaming pile on the internet and hope people don't find out we are as incompetent a development crew as there is.  And trust me when I tell you I should know.  I have only helped launch web based application for 15 years.  Crap like this would never pass muster where I am from, but then again we do not use our clients as beta testers the way the Colts do.  I will come back in 2 more months but I do not expect much.  It is clear no one on the development staff has any clue how to design and implement a website.  The sad part is you had an amazing website that actually functioned.  This one is garbage.  If it is the same pile in 2 moths I will never return to Colts.com.  ESPN, sad as it is, is a far superior website.  I guess I will get my Colts info there.  At least it actually works.

One last thing.  There's a reason why we have Mobile versions of websites and we have desktop versions and the 2 shall not meet because when they do the desktop people always get the shaft.  And we got the shaft once again at Colts.com.

Why in the world would you even launch this?  Beta is not even a good word.  Half the stuff isn''t there or working.   Oh yea.  Just like Microsoft we are the testers.  Unreal.  I am done with the website.  To put a piece of you know what out like this shows total incompetence on the part of the faculty at colts.com.  You should be ashamed.

Just because it is happening doesn't make it a good design.  It's actually a terrible design for tablets and desktops.

  19. First of all how do I get to the desktop wallpapers now?  2nd.  Horrible minimal design.  Things that were once at your fingertips and a click away are hidden or impossible to find or you have to drill through multiple menus.  Absolutely awful.  I have an idea.  Let's send all web designers back to school.  Somewhere along the line they forgot how to make a good looking and functional web site.  The new colts.com is not functional, at least it doesn't function very well, actually it is awful at function, and the design is horrible.  1 first page just scrolls and scrolls.  Menus are so poorly designed it is unreal.  Fans menu used have a nice hover drop down and I could get to anything in a heartbeat.  This site is pure garbage.  My 10 year old could have designed a better looking more functional website.  It's horrrid.  I will stop now.

Not to be a negative nancy but I think the new Colts.com website is visually confusing and unappealing. It looks like they put all their efforts into making the website look good when viewing on mobile devices only. Looking at the website on my Mac, information is laid out kinda confusing. The slider has no fixed width and gets bigger when making the browser bigger which results in poor picture quality of the slider. Same with the header. The picture of the 4 Colts players and the Indianapolis Colts text graphic gets smashed or stretched depending on how big the browser is. The top Nav bar (Schedule, News, Audio, Etc) disappears when your scrolled all the way up. Under the slider, all of the information is left justified and there's lots of open white area to the right. The news articles that are across the screen look good, though. Uses the space nicely. The Fan Forum graphic on the front page is HUGE. lol.  It just seems like the focus on the website is mainly for viewing on your phone rather than on a computer. It needs some work to get the information flowing and using the space on the page a lot better. I'd go back to the drawing board on desktop computer viewing and try to tweak it a bit to flow the information better. I am a designer for a graphic arts company and have a bachelors in graphic design so I just notice this stuff a little bit more. Hopefully it helps somewhat.

We have a winner.  More things that are bad.  Top Menus used be a quick link to the Message Boards.  No longer.  Now you need to hit the 3 dots, Fans, and wait on a page to load and then Message Boards or scroll all the way to the bottom of the page.  I will give it this.  It uses the new modern basic look like all newer web pages.  I hate it.  Looks like a 3 year old designed it because they couldn't think of a better way.  More clicks to do the same task, bulky design where the Home page seems to scroll forever until you reach the bottom.  Looks awful, but then again I hate all new sites designed for Mobile.  I think they all look awful.  Sorry, but Colts.com is no exception.  It is plane and ugly.  Font is ugly all over the place.  Sorry.  It does not appeal to me.  The previous site was nice.  This is not, but it is what it is.  It's the new style and I hate it but I cannot control it.  So I will live with it.

You say we overachieved for 3 seasons because of our Division but yet the Jags won the Division when it was at its worst and you say nothing about that? Interesting. Our Division was terrible last season for the fact we didn't have our QB and nor did Houston both teams resulting in 4-12 seasons. I can make a strong case that the Jags won our Division by default because it was really a 2 team race and Tennessee is an Above Average team at best.

2 AFC South teams went to the playoffs and somehow the AFC south was at it's worse?  I don't think so.  Try again.

Think what you want. I think their defense is only going to get better.

Bortles don't have to be a great QB for the Jags to win.

This so much.  They are the team to beat in the AFC South.  Period.  it was not a fluke.  They had to sign Bortles because they knew what they had.  What were they going to do, let him go free agency and then be stuck again.  No, it was a good signing.
