Some positives in the first half there, particuarly Downs and Cross. We could do with those two 3rd rounders coming through for us this season. You feels Downs is going to be an important piece for us, even now despite him not having played in the regular season game yet. Concerns again on the oline depth.

I don't like Downs taking those punts. Would prefer him to focus on being a WR in his first year. He looks light too for a PR.

Man, Cross looks so explosive, so excited to see this kid play this season.

Risner's twitter is full of him liking people asking him to join the Colts lol

It would be nice to see Strachan emerge in the rest of the preseasn games and get that 5th spot. I think we have the slot covered with Downs and McKenzie. Strachan can back up Pittman and Pierce on the outside.

The Samson Ebukam injury is a disaster if serious. We don’t have much depth at that RDE position behind him. I think Kareem and AQM are next. I really like the Ebukam signing, I think he is an ascending player.

That's nice to hear. Its kind of forgotten how young he is, still just 21. We traded up into the 3rd round to select him last year. He has the talent, it would be great to see that come through this year.

That's positive, some of those those rushers have good power, particuarly Epensea, so to see him handle those type of guys is encouraging. Because we know he has the atletic traits.

There were few postives from today. For me, I taught AR5 looked poised after the interception. Downs on offense and Stuart on defense were the standouts for me. Downs just looks like he is going to be a really good player for us. Also taught Dayo, Granson Minshew, Jackson, Rush did well. The CBs for the 1s and 2 did well overall, Baker and Flowers were good, Brents was a little soft on his coverage, but understandable given he is only back a few days. Great to see Leonard back out there. Negatives were the back up oline and suprisingly Matt Gay. Hopefully Gay gets that out of his system, were paying him alot of money to be good this season.

Evan Hull seems to pop up as regularly as a name each day. Would be great to get a good pass catching RB, since Hines isn’t with us anymore.

It’s really disappointing news if true. Low round draft pick with a life changing opportunity this year in front of him. Colts very thin now in that position group. Leaving Kenny aside who is the slot, our boundary CBs have almost zero professional experience. Very concerning.

Nick Cross also vying for that SS position too. Still just 21 yo. Should be interesting to see how that position battle develops over the summer.

Even though I think we have alot of good young talent in the secondary, I think it would be a good idea to bring in a vet or two to help the younger guys. There are still some good vets on the market that would be affordable. And RG too. Other than that, so long are Leonard is good to go, I like the roster.

I was actually just this second listening to the Kevin and Query show on YT and Kevin said that its usually tomorrow but it hasn't been announced. But yes, I expect it to be box office lol.

Has there been an announcement when Chris Ballard will do his end of year presser?

Two other things about James Bradberry is that is has 33 inch arm (96th percentile for DBs) and 15 career interceptions. So a long CB with a track record of taking the ball away is something I’m sure Chris Ballard would consider. Obviously if the price is right of course. It seems like the NY Giants are looking for a 4th rounder but they’ve only received a 5th rounder going by rumours.

This New York journalist has the Colts as one of the teams inquiring about trading for CB James Bradberry. He is due to make $13.5m this season, as part of his final year of the contract. But I’m not sure how much of that figure the Colts would have to pay if they were to trade for him. He would be a good player to trade for. I couldn’t see Ballard trading anymore that a Day 3 pick though.

Just 1 year $10m. Disappointed we weren't in on that. Same type of deal we gave Funchess.
