Who were first team corners?
Pretty sure melvin and wilson split reps with ones and twos. Obviously davis likely took most if not all of the other first team.

It is almost back!!!

The writer must not follow football, or he woke up still drunk and was about to miss a deadline.
Our backs are fine.
That would be more true if our clear cut RB1 was not on the wrong side of 32. I categorize being "fine" at a position when we wont have to look for a young successor in the next offseason or two.
P.S. Barring injury Gore will be better statistically than last year. I predict more total yards from scrimmage, 1.3k rushing and around 400 in the air. We know he may not be around next year, why bother using a pitch count like previous seasons.

I was excited about Ferguson last year, so I'll temper my enthusiasm for Mack at the moment. I hope he exceeds our expectations.
I agree on tempering enthusiasm for any rookie, but Mack was far more accomplished than Ferguson. We as fans do have legit reasons to have higher hopes for Mack.

The two games Luck missed earlier in the season -- Weeks 4 and 5 against Jacksonville and Houston -- Pep was still the coordinator. He didn't get fired until after the Week 8 loss to Carolina.
If anything that was the blueprint going forward when we turned to our backups (mainly MH). I have read from multiple sources, Luck has the most put on him to run an offense, compared to all other NFL qbs. They went with a more traditional WC system when Hasselbeck was in, which was stated by another poster Pep ran at Stanford.

Andrew could actually throw is atleast progress. The colts are not gonna rush him even if it means he starts on the pup list. Also take into consideration that the beginning of our schedule is not too difficult.
It is good news to me. Getting the stability back is more important long term. If I was a Panther fan, I would be a little concerned with how quick Cam started throwing. He is becoming known as a guy who rushes back from injury too quickly IMO. I prefer the patient route the Colts are taking.

Keep these coming Superman! Your breakdowns are always spot on. Sometimes I feel some die hard fans know more than some current NFL coaches and staffers. Spending your whole life loving your hobby can nearly turn you into an expert. Case in point, Superman. As well as many of our moderators.

At least it is looking like a fully healthy Anderson for the season.... *knocks on wood*

BMi tests can be and have been very misleading too they have been well known for telling in shape people that they are obese so we will have to see how he looks in full pads in training camp it will be interesting I don't think he goes out there and starts right away any how I think Spence or Bostic is the favorite at the other ILB position where the number 1 ILB I believe will be Edwin Jackson.
Agreed, body fat percentage has been proven to be a better indicator than BMI.

When it comes down to success the winners of the AFC South are barely over 500% in recent years and don't lose sight of how pathetic the division has been so you are almost guaranteed six wins every season.
Tell that to the Jags lol

Why? It seemed relevant to me...
Topics for debate is what sports fan forums are about, right?

Agreed, with both prior poster's.

Nothing to get too worked up about. I disagree with him. If you're going to criticize O'Brien for having a bad offense/QB play when he's an offensive-minded coach, you should criticize Pagano for having an awful defense when he comes from a defensive background.
Who would you have as the #1 HC in afcs?
-
NFL website HC power rankings. Obviously BB is #1.
Pagano is ahead of every HC in AFCS.
Any thoughts? Personally I would put Bill O'Brian #1. Debate can be made for pags as 2-3. I believe he has held this team back with his approach late in games in prior seasons. I expect him to play to win more this season. Instead of playing not to lose. Which IMO cost us several games late last season.
Feel free to chime in on the whole list. Our position on the list was shocking to me frankly, but I am not a huge Pagano supporter... Still I think we will be better than many here think. Barring major unforseen injuries.
Agree or disagree with Pagano's place on the list? Other HC's? Nfl pundits? Discuss....

Bulletin board material for TC. We seem to have plenty. I am fine going into the season as an underdog. Few are picking the colts to do well, besides some of us lol. Anything could happen, even a SB..... we will just have to wait and see.
Plus the pff article still has us finishing ahead of the texans and jags. I think that is our floor. I dont see the titans being as great as the pundits think.

i didnt watch ohio state, but hooker had 74 total tackles
i think his tackling issues might be a little exaggerated, plus a free safety that plays deep on a talented defense isnt expected to make a ton of tackles in the run game anyway
Agreed. I was not very concerned, especially considering he was a one year starter. He will improve, and we did grab a seahawks front office guy. He may suggest something similar to the seahawks, to improve our guys tackling techniques.

The the type tackling Seattle teaches is called "rugby style". Urban Meyer has adopted this at OSU.
Interestingly, Malik Hooker''s tackling using the rugby style was criticized by scouts prior to the draft.
His problem from what I have read, was his poor angles and wrapping up.

So what do you think it will be?
Will it be an action pose where he's throwing the football or something?
Will it be a neutral pose of him standing there?
Will it be a victorious pose of him celebrating something?
I was thinking an action pose but after listening to the video I think it will be a neutral pose now. Main reason is he talked a lot about his face and head and how it would appear. But if it was a football pose with him wearing his helmet, far less effort would have to go into the face and head as the helmet would cover most of it.
I doubt, and frankly do not want it to be this.......but for artistic difficulties sake it would the most difficult to depict peyton raising the lombardi smirking. That is an image that will stay with me. That said if I had to guess, it would be a highly statue-esque pose similar to him standing for the anthem.

The loss of Adams will hurt. He played well and was a good leader. However, he was getting up there in age and we have a young and very promising talent to take his place in Hooker.
While I agree on Adams value last year, I think Butler showed he was more suited for FS than Adams. Adams was more of a hybrid, than a true FS IMO. I like the quote I recently read here along the lines of, we finally have the body types across the board for our 3-4 defense. If Hooker is not ready week 1 to start, I feel good about D-Buts back there....If his body can hold up. He gets hurt trying to blow people up sometimes.
