  1. I’d rank the top 10 WRs prospects as follows:

DJ Moore - reminds me of Percy Harvin with the ball in his hands. Attacks the ball in air and is great after the catch.

Christian Kirk - good football player with great work ethic. Safe player. Will be in league for 10 years.

Courtland Sutton - size and Speed is impressive.  Needs to develop the route running piece. Boom or bust prospect with highest upside of the group.

Calvin Ridley - great start stop ability and terrific route runner. Frail and questionable ability in traffic. Not a guy who high points the ball.

Equanimeous St. Brown - size speed freak. Reminds me of Aj green at times but the lack of production in 2017 is quite concerning.

Michael Gallup - love what I’ve seen from this kid. Attacks the ball in the air and very good route runner. Strong hands and feisty.

Dante Pettis - Smooth route runner. Questionable hands in traffic. Sells double moves really well. Good return ability.

Antonio Callaway - Off the field concerns but talent similar to Kirk. Very good in the SEC as a freshman. Big play guy in college.

Jmon moore - Looks the part and displays great body control at times but inconsistent. Love the talent but has to continue to improve. Good size that sells routes well when he wants to.

James Washington - deep threat with strong hands that benefitted greatly from spread offense and lack of defense in big 12.

    Just Missed the cut:

    Anthony Miller

    Trequan Smith

    No interest:

    Auden Tate

    Simmie Cobb

    DJ Chark

  2. I like the signing. Ebron has the physical tools, but he has to stay focused and learn the little details to win consistently. Right now he just relies on his athleticism to get open. If he can understand leverage and positioning, he could be really good. The drops are mostly focus drops from what I have seen.

  4. Target:

equanimeous st. Brown (looks like a raw Aj green).

dj moore - reminds me of Percy Hardin as a player. Great after the catch.

Dante Pettis - really smooth route runner who can threaten deep and intermediate. Inconsistent in traffic.

antonio callaway - off field concerns and hamstrung by bad qb play but might have been best WR in SEC if he wasn’t suspended. Dynamic playmaker.

Anthony miller - smooth with big hands. Dominated at memphis.

Marcell Ateman. Big bodied wr (6ft 4) who drops weight well and makes sharp cuts. Injuries in past are concerns. Small hands for his size.

    Don’t target:

    Simmie Cobb - can’t separate

    allen Lazard - can’t separate

christian Kirk - hype job. Shut down by better corners

courtland sutton - hype job . Struggles to separate and does not consistently come down with the ball in tight coverage

  5. Jenkins is actually a really good corner. I’ll disagree with those that say he is inconsistent. When he is focused and locked in, he is one of the best in the league. The problem with Jenkins is the fact that he is a gambler and loves to make the big plays. His mentality leaves him susceptible to double moves. He plays a lot like Asante Samuel or Marcus Peters .He would be a good addition, but I don’t think he would come cheap.

The only real reason I believe they will take Barkley is because they don’t have any talent on offense except for Odell Beckham. When he went out with his injury, that team was dead in the water. They need OLine too but I severely doubt they take one at #2. They still have Eli so I don’t think a QB is in the mix yet either. That’s why I personally think they take Barkley and he will be a good fit there.

Disagree that they lack talent on offense besides Beckham. Sheppard is talented and a very good slot wr,  marshall is talented although fading, and Evan engrams is a huge mismatch at te. They lack talent at the rb position.

  7. Picking Barkley is basically following the Bengals strategy of just drafting skill players and thinking you can win. Last year the Bengals surrounded Andy Dalton with Aj Green, 1st round pick John Ross, 2nd round pick Joe Mixon, and Tyler Eifert, but they completely neglected the trenches. As a result, Dalton had his worst season in years. Mixon was ineffective running behind a terrible oline. Green faced constant double teams and the Bengals were a huge disappointment. Now the Bengals did invest in the oline early in previous drafts, but the players they had drafted to step in for the veterans leaving had not shown they were ready to play.

We we can get by with Mack at RB, but we cannot get by without a decent oline and edge rushers to close a game. I am not as high on Chubb as others. Harold Landry is a more talented player imo. Landry has the elite athleticism and burst that Chubb lacks. The most important parts of Chubb’s game are his hands and relentlessness. I believe these are teachable items that can make Landry an elite pass rusher. Meanwhile, I do not believe you can teach Chubb the traits that Landry possesses.

Nelson would be a very good pick imo. He would protect Luck in the passing game, open running lanes, and allow us to make easy throws off play action.

  8. I don’t think he will bust either. He is too good out of the backfield and in space  to bust. The problem I have with him is he does not play to his size. He does not grind out the tough yards and take what is there. He does not finish runs. He is dynamic in space and has incredible lateral agility, but he’s not sticking his nose in there and pushing the pile. He reminds me of a bigger, faster Christian McCafrey.

For comparison, Derrius Guice who is likely the second rb off the board does a much better job in confined space, pushing the pile and fighting for extra yards. Guice is a physical runner who loves contact, but is not nearly as dynamic as Barkley in the receiving game or in space.
