  1. Just to reiterate - this looks like AR to me, not JT.
  2. Much better football player than Ngakoue, even if not as productive sacker...
  3. My short summary: Likes: - Coach! I said it last week and I will say it again - I love a coach who will go the extra mile trying to help his team win. I love how him and the rest of the coaching staff has turned a souless bunch last year into this hyper competitive team in just a few short months. I don't know if it's honeymoon period or what but I am never thinking and worrying about the playcall like I used to with Frank. - I loved the defense! The Ravens had troubles with injuries at OL and our DL did what they were supposed to do with that - dominated. AGAIN! And this time the DBs played solid football too. I thought Blackmon in particular was a stand out. He made a lot of plays around the LoS. Brents had a great debut in the league too. Speed, Franklin, Leonarrd... solid. Overall... very very good game as a whole by the D. - Pittman and Downs. Reliable! Even Pierce made a play or two. - Moss - is he JT? No! Is he perfectly serviceable starting RB who should make you stick to your guns about JT's contract - absolutely. When you can have a Moss type for the league minimum, why would anyone pay 15M for Taylor. And Moss actually caught a wheel route for a TD. Does JT catch that? - Matt Gay > Justin Tucker. Well that's not a sentence I thought I would utter ever... Dislikes - the OL depth is questionable. But we knew that already and it's showing. We allowed pressure but IMO the bigger problems were with diagnosing and picking up blitzes rather than with our regular pass protection. Maybe Kelly's absence was felt here and Minshew didn't do good enough job replacing him in that role. No idea how you get beat 3 times in 30 minutes on the same blitz by the same player. And then they started doubling Hamilton... why? The problem on the first 3 was not that he beat anybody - it's that he was a free rusher not picked by anybody. - I still feel like outside of kicking, our STs need a lot of work. Both in coverage and in punting and in returning... McKenzie made another bad decision on the one he let go to the 2nd yard... seemed like he was afraid to not make a mistake on the catch and just let it go. Great win! This team has a certain spirit and juice about it that I love. They look like a team that's actually trying to win and believes they can win. Good job by the coaching staff and the players.
  4. Brents is so huge! He looks about as big as the tight ends he was covering in some cases.
  5. I was thinking the same.... but.. I was like... is it possible it's JT?
  6. This team has a certain spirit and fight about it that I haven't seen from a Colts roster for quite a while... Well done to the coaching staff! Well done to the players for responding too...
  7. How many times are we going to blow that same exact blitz pick up? Damn! I understand it happening once... but TWICE? In the same half? THREE TIMES?!!?!? wth..
  8. Love a coach who would take the extra step and try to give his team every edge he possibly could.
  9. Pittman was loafing on his route, otherwise he might have had a shot...
  10. Is this the same guy we are talking about? What am I missing? How is his performance at the big stage even a question? He's dealing with a new inexperienced QB and had a pretty bad ankle injury that he played through? I don't think he falls out of the top 5. He's probably better prospect than Jamarr Chase and he's not missing the season(like Chase did).
  11. Expected, but still disappointing. I'd rather them be cautious than rush him, so I'm OK with this even if he had passed the protocol(which it seems like he hasn't). Hope he's better soon and is ready for next game.
  12. To be fair there were some reports that Tapper wanted Bryce Young, but there were also reports conflicting that so... hard to tell. Agreed on it being too early to tell on any of the QBs. Tua got benched for Fitzpatrick several times in his rookie year and looked completely lost, but they got him some weapons and a much better offensive coach and he seems to be doing pretty well today.
  13. I have already written JT off... he's shown and expressed clearly he doesn't want to be part of this team. I'm not having any hopes about him being here any longer than a few games before he gets traded or fakes another injury.
  14. I think I'm good with this year being developmental year in general for the team, with one exception - I think Richardson should be supported with weapons and protection. I think we need to know as quickly as possible if he's the answer or not and I don't want us to be using lack of talent around him as an excuse. With that said... I think we need to actually put in play our highly drafted rookie at CB. We spent way too rich of a resources for him to not play when the other options are Dallis Flowers and Darrell Baker Jr.... especially after what we've already seen from them. As long as Brents is healthy and in football shape, IMO he should be playing, even with the understanding that he might have his lumps too.
  15. Same. I think he needs to take notes and adjust to the speed of defenders to avoid some hits or to protect himself better BUT... I absolutely do NOT think we've seen anything super concerning or that he should be changing the way he plays. You drafted him for his abilities on the move! If you want to nerf his dynamic running ability then you shouldn't have drafted him in the first place. Use everything he can offer and teach him how to do it more efficiently and safer.
  16. He's past faking injury now. Now he wants to play. He even posted a video of him doing some drills in Colts facility.
  17. About time. I can't believe this wasn't done immediately when it was reported that this was what was being discussed in NFLPA circles.
  18. The worst thing about the CBs is... Baker might actually be our best option right now. But I agree, I think it's about time to let your second round rookie take a shot at defending the pass even with the understanding that he might have his lumps too... We've seen in the past that with Gus it's really hard for someone to change his mind. Rodgers was splitting reps with his favorite Facyson last year even though it was clear from the very start that Rodgers was MUCH MUCH better and deserved every single snap that Facyson got. I guess we will see.
  19. The sad part about it for them is... they didn't - they traded their pick for Will Anderson...
