  1. I’m surprised Gus hasn’t filled those coaching vacancies by now. Since we didn’t renew their contracts I would have thought he had other coaches lined up. Apparently not.
  2. This should guarantee he doesn’t return. lol. Too expensive now.
  3. I think if it’s not Minshew it’s going to be Jacoby. The history is already there with Ballard. I think he would be an ideal mentor for AR.
  4. One FA who I would think would be of interest to Ballard is S Jeremy Chinn of the Panthers. Reminds me of Malik Hookers situation. Started off looking very promising but has been hampered a little with injuries and is now entering FA. He’s 6’3” 200 Ibs with playmaking ability. I wouldn’t think he would be an expensive add and could be the experienced veteran to help the secondary. Hooker found a nice home in Dallas btw. Another player who could fit is WR Darnell Moody of the Bears. Very fast receiver who can get separation but is kind of stuck in an offense that is not pass oriented with Fields as his quarterback and Flus as his HC. I could see him as a nice addition to the WR room and possibly grabbing the WR1 spot as our speedy deep threat to complement Pittman and Downs. I don’t think he would be expensive either. Both of these players strike me as players Ballard would tend to look at who might not grab any headlines in FA but who would be nice potential veteran upgrades to the roster. Both young enough to be here for quite awhile if they work out.
  5. From what I read it’s supposed to be a very good draft for DT’s so the idea of moving back into the 1st round entered my mind as well. Picking up an additional 20m in cap space really opens the possibility for adding another premium player in FA who would be younger than Buckner who is 30 I believe. Hard to see them doing the Buckner trade proposal but you never know until the phone call comes in.
  6. Interesting article on PFF. They suggest the Colts should trade their 1st pick for A.J.Brown. They also suggest the Bengals should trade their 2nd rd pick and another pick this year for Buckner. Colts save over 20m in cap space and the Bengals plug a major hole on their defensive interior.
  7. Goodness gracious! I said great. Lol
  8. These final four teams today really used their TE’s a lot in their offenses. We had great TE’s in the past. Not any more.
  9. Didn’t we interview Campbell for HC? Or maybe it was a coordinator job.
  10. Seems to happen more times than not. Teams beat themselves.
  11. I hope AR learns how to handle a blitz better than LaMar.
  12. I thought man meant sticky coverage. Oh well.
  13. Yeah. It’s so easy. What’s the matter with him anyways. Lol
  14. I think it was wrong to jump to the conclusion that because he had a prior history it’s perfectly okay to jump to the conclusion that that was the cause. It was also reported that a nurse was in the home and he had been receiving oxygen before he was found. That suggests he was being treated for another condition. Unfortunately reporters love to jump on the worst possible reason to garner more clicks on their story. Sadly it’s the world we live in. Assumptions without facts.
  15. His monotonous low key unenthusiastic monotone voice will put me to sleep. I can’t see him being entertaining at all. Maybe we’ll get to find out. Sean Payton was entertaining. I have my doubts with Bellichick.
  16. I couldn’t stomach listening to him for more than one minute.
  17. I tend to agree with you here. It appears Huff would be a great situational pass rusher. Third and long for me seemed brutal for the Colts. He just might be the perfect addition for the line.
  18. They used the grades that they believe give you the best overall comparison. One year doesn’t really tell you much imo. They decided not to use just one season where they could have. Makes total sense to me.
  19. The Pff grades that I quoted were from their article ranking the top 150 FA of this year’s FA class. They used them in comparing each player to a comp player. If they published the grades in one of their major articles I would think they would use the correct grades that you would use in player comparisons. That just makes common sense to me. They are showing a significant disparity between the two.
  20. Warm interest for Vrabel who many really liked here. Surprising since he was one of the first to be let go. Buyer beware it appears.
  21. I’m hoping the Jags are forced to tag Allen. That could open the door for Ridley to hit FA. He would be a big loss for the Jags. If he wound up a Colt alongside Pittman and Downs we would be in a fantastic situation.
  22. Hunter was 61.5 not 51.7 and Huff 45.2 in run defense according to pff. Huge difference.
