  1. It was a nice read but pretty much a little more extrapolation of his year end press conference. A few more statistics about our year end performance numbers which reinforces what Ballard said. Need more explosiveness on both sides of the ball. Let’s hope he does something to get it.
  2. Disguise is great and it makes perfect sense. But I think it’s easier to do it when you have experience in the secondary and not a bunch of first year players for the most part.
  3. Just another lucky bounce. Goes to show you the best team doesn’t always win. Refs and a lucky bounce can decide games.
  4. Taylor Swift is most likely seeing a side of Kelce she has not seen before.
  5. Former Colt TY McGill is active for the 49’ers in the game.
  6. Not a good look for Kelce. Different look from all of his commercials.
  7. Experience in the secondary. Priceless
  8. I’m watching but I’m ready for the offseason too. Can’t come fast enough.
  9. I could care less who wins. I have one of my Colts shirts on and will be doing what Ballard will be doing. Paying attention to some of the soon to be FA playing in the game. The new year is before us. Go Colts.
  10. Just thinking out loud but wouldn’t you think Ballard would extend him similarly to what he did for Buckner. Secure a happy player for the future. Giving them Paye would probably do the trick then. Dayo would backup Reddick I suppose.
  11. Just read where the Eagles have given Hassan Reddick permission to seek a trade. 2024 is the last year of his current contract. 29 years old. I wonder if the Colts would be interested. They might be receptive to Paye and a pick or two.
  12. Tenn. does need to rebuild its OL but they also have the 2nd most cap space in the league and a quarterback in Levis. I would expect them to address the OL in FA maybe with a couple of serious signings. Drafting a tackle is certainly a possibility but if they do upgrade in FA then I wouldn’t consider it a sure thing. Either way I’ve read it’s a weak TE class and Bowers is the main guy. Expecting him to fall to 15 is a stretch I think. If Ballard wants to strengthen the TE room I think it’s more likely he turns to FA this year. I can see him cutting Moe and signing one of the TE’s available. I’m thinking Noah Fant but Hunter Henry is available as well as Dalton Schultz. Woods and the others will be coming back too. Again it’s too early for all teams to make a serious draft projection until we see what happens in FA.
  13. There is no honor among thieves. It’s a race to the finish line for guys like Scheffter. The most important thing is to be first with the news. That’s all they care about. I wouldn’t be surprised if there income is tied to it. Maybe bonuses. Who knows. Don’t really care. It’s a shame he took that path but they are who they are.
  14. I would be surprised if Bowers is there when we pick. He said he would like to play for the Titans and they pick seventh. They also could use a TE for Levis. Seems like a perfect match and a good spot for him to be picked. I would bet the Tennessee media is all over his wishes just like how Colts fans would be if Harrison Jr. came out and said he wanted to play for the Colts. No guarantees it happens of course but the seed has been planted and they have the need.
  15. I’ll post it here as well. In an interview with Florio a few days ago at the Super Bowl he asked him which team would he like to play for. He said the Titans. Florio goes hear that Titans. He wants to play for Tennessee. He didn’t give the standard I don’t care answer. Interesting.
  16. Just listened to an interview Mike Florio had with Bowers a few days ago. He asked him if there was a team he would prefer to play for if it were up to him. He said the Titans. Didn’t give the standard answer that players usually give. You know it doesn’t matter. Florio goes hear that Titans he wants to go to Tennessee. Interesting interview.
  17. I like TY too but I don’t believe that for a second. Luck knows that if he came back he would have been welcomed back like a conquering Roman general entering Rome. The way the fans reacted is what to be was expected the way the word got out. Just unfortunate circumstances and he knows that. He made up his mind and that was it. On to another chapter.
  18. Everyone is salivating over possibly Bowers going to the Colts. This reminds me of when Kyle Pitts and TJ Hockenson were drafted. Both sure fire can’t miss players who were drafted top 10 in their draft class. So far nothing much to shout home about. Still possible they take off but for top 10 draft status a disappointment I would say. The Bills drafted Kincaid at 25. That’s a great return for them for a TE at 25. Goes to show you how much risk is at stake with the draft. No need to look further than Malik Hooker at 15. Mocks are fun for a lot of fans. But not really realistic until after FA. Then we should be able to see if any major needs were addressed.
  19. There is no clear cut answer here. It depends on the current contract of the player you trade for. One player could have a manageable cap hit for 24 but then escalates after that. Or the player could have a big hit coming in 24 and beyond. The team has the option to restructure in either case if it so chooses. So I don’t think it’s a big problem if the acquired player is scheduled for a big cap hit in 24. There are ways to message that. If they want the player bad enough to trade for him they will do what’s necessary contract wise. There is no guarantee we draft a foundational player at 15. Malik Hooker was the 15th pick when we drafted him I believe. No guarantees. We would have a better chance of getting a foundational piece by trading for one like we did with Buckner imo. I think what we do in FA will determine what we do with that 15th pick.
  20. Agree. Steve Tasker couldn’t get in as a special teams standout. Neither should a punt returner.
  21. He would be a great acquisition. He did push for the interim HC and he got the job. They probably see him as a foundation player as well. Your reasoning makes sense and our pick would be perfect if they want to move up. He would be an ideal acquisition for the Colts for sure. I would think he would be one of their potential targets that they should make a call on.
  22. Wow! I never would’ve imagined that. Have to give it up for you guys and gals living in Indy who made that happen. That’s very impressive. Indy Bleeds Blue for sure.
  23. Making it to the playoffs and advancing will help take some of the sting away of Luck retiring. It’s amazing how much better winning again will make everyone feel.
  24. Yeah Diggs would not be my top target for a 1st. I’ll trust Ballard and Steichen on that one.
  25. Not off the top of my head. All I know is we have something like 8 new head coaches and a large turnover in coordinators and GM’s throughout the league. Teams will be moving in different directions under new management. Players who we never thought would be available quickly could be. So I’m hoping Ballard and Steichen have a strategy in place and targets in mind. This is the off-season to be aggressive.
