This is where I am. I am sure there is a plan B already in place in case Pittman leaves. I think they will get a deal done but if they don’t they don’t and we will get to see what plan B is. I think we will be fine one way or the other.
I don’t think so. I think he’s better than everyone else in our TE room with Woods being the possible exception because he really hasn’t played and we don’t know. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
If I’m not mistaken we could put the transition tag on him. It’s the lowest tag number just under 20m I believe. Then we have the right to match. If we don’t match we lose him and get no draft compensation. What the Colts will bank on is no one is going to give him a huge over priced contract when the tag number is 20m. The offer will come in higher than 20m but not exorbitant. This way he tests the market and we match and keep him. He’s gotten his wish and we pay him what we were going to pay him regardless. Win win.
A DT Chris Jones hurt them on two occasions. A DT no less. One of the best in the league but a DT not an ER. Unblocked at the end of the game that turned the game around.
I’m not really overly concerned with the defense. I’m expecting Ballard to bring in a couple of experienced additions for that side of the ball. I think he knows he has to. If he does I think the defense will be very good and will surprise many. Our offense should improve quite a bit with AR returning. That will automatically help the defense as well.
Defenses always get gassed when they’re on the field too long. You can never have enough depth in the trenches. We need improved depth at offensive and defensive tackle. And I mean experienced depth. When Grover and Smith were out we had no answer. Need a WR we can count on to stretch the field too. Everybody sees that.
The offseason has started off really fast immediately after the Super Bowl. Players already are being released and contracts are being restructured as the race to be at the cap gets underway. A big offseason is now underway for the Colts and Ballard.
He sure is a diva. Having a diva on the team wouldn’t bother me. I don’t like the idea of trading for an older one though like Diggs. In their mid 20’s bring them on. I want to win.
It was a nice read but pretty much a little more extrapolation of his year end press conference. A few more statistics about our year end performance numbers which reinforces what Ballard said. Need more explosiveness on both sides of the ball. Let’s hope he does something to get it.
Disguise is great and it makes perfect sense. But I think it’s easier to do it when you have experience in the secondary and not a bunch of first year players for the most part.
