  1. Yeah. It’s so easy. What’s the matter with him anyways. Lol
  2. I think it was wrong to jump to the conclusion that because he had a prior history it’s perfectly okay to jump to the conclusion that that was the cause. It was also reported that a nurse was in the home and he had been receiving oxygen before he was found. That suggests he was being treated for another condition. Unfortunately reporters love to jump on the worst possible reason to garner more clicks on their story. Sadly it’s the world we live in. Assumptions without facts.
  3. His monotonous low key unenthusiastic monotone voice will put me to sleep. I can’t see him being entertaining at all. Maybe we’ll get to find out. Sean Payton was entertaining. I have my doubts with Bellichick.
  4. I couldn’t stomach listening to him for more than one minute.
  5. I tend to agree with you here. It appears Huff would be a great situational pass rusher. Third and long for me seemed brutal for the Colts. He just might be the perfect addition for the line.
  6. They used the grades that they believe give you the best overall comparison. One year doesn’t really tell you much imo. They decided not to use just one season where they could have. Makes total sense to me.
  7. The Pff grades that I quoted were from their article ranking the top 150 FA of this year’s FA class. They used them in comparing each player to a comp player. If they published the grades in one of their major articles I would think they would use the correct grades that you would use in player comparisons. That just makes common sense to me. They are showing a significant disparity between the two.
  8. Warm interest for Vrabel who many really liked here. Surprising since he was one of the first to be let go. Buyer beware it appears.
  9. I’m hoping the Jags are forced to tag Allen. That could open the door for Ridley to hit FA. He would be a big loss for the Jags. If he wound up a Colt alongside Pittman and Downs we would be in a fantastic situation.
  10. Hunter was 61.5 not 51.7 and Huff 45.2 in run defense according to pff. Huge difference.
  11. Neither do I. I was just commenting on another poster’s post.
  12. I think he’s staying. But if Ballard has to tag him it hampers him in completing his other FA signing. He would take up a large amount of cap space until he’s signed to an extension. That’s why I would be surprised if he doesn’t sign before a tag is required.
  13. Just read an article on Yahoo that was from Indy , I think, that said Pete Ward called 911 when he arrived at the house to pick him up. He found him partially unresponsive and thought he was having a heart attack. The article mentioned that Irsay’s nurse was also there. I didn’t know that. He apparently was receiving oxygen at home according to the article. Looks like he was receiving nursing care at home as well. The nurse possibly was there all night. Considering his previous addiction issues it’s easy to see where those issues could jeopardize his future health with other problems. Hope he gets better soon.
  14. You said any FA in your post. Not “big time “ FA. Money had nothing to do with your statement. So I guess my memory was correct. He filled a need with his signing and he was a good one. I remember being surprised it happened so quickly. He was obviously a target in the off season and he wanted him under contract quickly.
  15. I don’t disagree on making a big FA move. Huffs pff grade was 45.2 against the run. That’s bad. I would rather have Hunter even at the higher cost.
  16. Indy and Indiana I would guess are the only parts of the country enamored with the drug overdose suspicion. I don’t see where the police definitely reported a drug overdose. As far as I understand they were just taking precautions in case there was one. They would do that for anyone with his symptoms. For all I know he could have had a heart attack. We really don’t know anything. It’s been a long time since this happened and I haven’t seen any updates one way or the other. This is not a story in other parts of the country. It has gone away since the original report. Hard to imagine the tabloids would not be all over this with him being an NFL owner. Seems like an unfortunate circumstance involving his other personal health issues.
  17. Hunter is the better DE if you ask me. He’s the more well rounded player. Huff is excellent as a pass rusher but the undrafted player is terrible against the run. He would be a situational pass rusher on long passing downs.
  18. I could be wrong but I think Matt Gay was signed on the 1st day of FA. Maybe someone with a sharper memory will know.
  19. I’m not talking about moving up in the draft for a WR. I don’t think Steichen would ever demand that a rookie WR is worth moving heaven and earth to go and get. Too much risk and unknowns. No guarantee he’s going to pan out. I’m talking a veteran proven player where you know his performance is documented and there for everyone to see and has seen. Not a rookie no way. Now if a player is sitting there when we pick and no need to move up then I could see him attempting to influence the pick. I can’t see Steichen asking for a trade up for a WR like he’s the guy I guarantee will open up the offense. I don’t see that at all.
  20. I think if Steichen came to Ballard and said this WR is the player we need to take this offense where it needs to go I think he would move heaven and earth to go get that specific guy. He went out and got Reich the quarterbacks he wanted. He will do the same for Steichen if he made a request. Steichen is his guy. Ballard knows the window has now opened. Ballard knows he's entering his seventh year. Ballard has the wherewithal to make it happen. Maybe Steichen makes the request maybe he doesn't. but if he does I think Ballard will do it. Just my opinion of course.
  21. Since he is the DC I think it would be a safe assumption that he was involved in the discussions and decision.
  22. What we do with the 1st pick is entirely dependent on what Ballard does leading up to the draft. What I see as a possible scenario is we sign a veteran FS in FA hopefully McKinney. If Calvin Ridley makes it to FA we will sign him. He is the only WR that I see fitting our need that has a chance to make it to FA. If he doesn't then I think the plan would be to trade for one. Most likely Jeudy or McLaurin using our 2nd or 3rd rd picks. I don't think Brown will be available. Those moves would give us a major upgrade on both sides of the ball before the draft. Assuming we can acquire a receiver with our 2nd or 3rd rd pick then he will sit at 15 and take Bowers if he is there or BPA. Getting Bowers and a veteran WR would give AR two more weapons next year. A new veteran FS solidifies the back end of the defense. That would be an ideal off season for me.
  23. This is why I think the Giants FS Xavier McKinney will be the target in FA.
  24. In the hour long local post game show the reporters, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse were visibly angry at the outcome and had no problem pointing some fingers at McDermott. They have always been in his corner in the past.
  25. i don't know. That fake punt looked like a call from a desperate coach who desperately needed a win at home. The score could have been much more lopsided too.
