  1. The key thing that could help him would be seeing his progress with all of that. He unfortunately doesn’t get that chance sense he is going pro. You hope to see growth and how the handle adversity.
  2. He has also had to deal with coach changes. He was able to deal with a NFL style his last year which helped but also adapting helps.
  3. I don’t disagree with you. They will have to look at everything about each guy. This is a big draft for Ballard so I assume he does his due diligence for sure. They will want to ask a lot of questions come the interview.
  4. He still has shown drastic improvement’s with accuracy. You can’t argue that. A bad throw will happen when you have over 1,000 attempts a year.
  5. I agree. 2021 he had an NFL caliber guy and his year and stats were better. He had a lot of talent leave and everything struggled.
  6. This is not true. Good QB’s can get better when they get into a system. Allen was not great in college with accuracy but is better now. Daniel Jones just had his best year based on coaching that helped with turnovers. If you want I could think of other examples. The biggest thing about drafting a QB is fitting the system with who you draft. If they drafted Lamar Jackson and forced him into a different system like the Air Coryell that Luck had would of preached failure.
  7. This is why Stroud is also great. He wants to beat you with his arm but can clearly use his legs.
  8. I could see any rookie struggling with it. But as you said some guys just never get better at it. I hope whoever we draft does obviously but I just like Stroud and Levis more than Young purely on the size and true QB metrics. I just view Young as a slightly better Tua that might be injured within his first two years and we are looking at another Luck situation.
  9. Actually they did say that but the key difference was Burrow had one of the best years of a college quarterback in that year and won it all. He showed a lot more during that whole year than any QB in this draft. The comparison is not the same. Now if you wanted to mention other guys like an AJ McCarron who had multiple first rounders and looked good in college but yet was not good at the pro level than maybe I could see that. You have a lot of examples of guys that have talent and fail in the pros versus the other. I am not hoping for him to fail as he and Levis are the guys I want.
  10. I will say a key concern that teams will have is that he has been throwing to top talent. Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Marvin Jr, and Njigba. He will have less talent in Indy. He will have to be a lot better at throwing them open and finding small windows. This is something that is hard for a lot of QB’s though. How he learns and reacts is the importance. Photographic memory is pretty cool.
  11. NFL is a little different but I like that. He is a smart guy so he can only get better.
  12. He can make the throws and is very accurate. I just hope he can diagnose a defense and go through progressions quickly. I think Stroud would be very good in Indy.
  13. Yes, that is basically what we traded to get him in the first place plus that frees cap space.
  14. I’ve seen Zay Flowers be mentioned as a late 1st, early second round guy. His combine and workouts might help that as well. He shows so much potential too. Josh Downs will probably be early second but more than likely round 2 for sure. This guy is a very good WR. He can break ankles but his best quality is taking short slants and gaining YAC. I like Rome Odunze from Washington. Good size and great route runner. Should be late 2nd maybe 3rd rounder.
  15. I agree with that. Maybe OC would change and Parks goes back to where he was. I’m not sure but Bubba would stay and I don’t see him getting rid of Gus either.
  16. Hmm curious of that one but yet do not want to see it.
  17. Contending or not Ballard wants to build through the trenches and he wasn’t going to let his 6th overall 3 time all-pro leave in FA.
  18. Every GM is looking at potential not college stats. His 2021 year was good and he still had a good 2022.
  19. Ballard isn’t drafting anyone based on just college stats. Everything you mentioned before that one thing draws more attention than how many yards against a team he had. This is why a guy like Richardson will still be drafted high. They have a lot to work with that teams want to then mold into their guy.
  20. Still finished at OU though. Mayfield never had a chance with the Browns and he is still playing.
  21. You can say Oklahoma right now. Mayfield and Murray are in the league as top picks. You have Hurts as well as an MVP potential.
  22. This is honestly exactly the 3 I thought because we have scouted them. Ballard hasn’t really scouted or shown any interest with Young.
  23. I think Ballard wants Will Levis. Talk is teams have him as the top guy so CB will trade up to grab him.
  24. Oh you meant that dude. I thought you meant CJ said that. My bad!
