There are some people that you may not get along with..........no matter what. When that's the case, we ask that you not conduct your arguments in public.
You do have options for ignoring and blocking their content from your view.
Ignoring them is a helpful choice to make........for everyones sake.
So check out your Ignore Preferences (My Settings/Ignore Preferences)
To add someone to your list, just type their name and put a check beside what you don't want to see from them. (click on the image below to see a larger view of the Ignore Preferences settings)

If you chose to ignore their posts, it will be as though they are not posting at all. You will just not see any post by them.
If you choose to ignore their personal messages, they will not be able to send a message to you at all.

Colts Fans are an important part of Colts.com, so we've made some changes to reflect that.
Effective today, logging in to the forums and logging in to colts.com are one in the same
In other words, in order to comment on articles on colts.com, you must be a member of our forums and also agree to our code of conduct.
The very cool thing about this is, that colts.com articles appear here in a new forum called Colts.com News.
If you post a comment to an article on colts.com, that post will appear both beneath that article and also here on the forums in the Colts.com News forum along with your profile Picture and a link to your profile page.
Also, as part of our tighter integration with colts.com, we have a new look. Our site layout and colors now mirror what you see on the article pages (for example here: http://www.colts.com...18-55caf884ecd0 )
FURTHERMORE: Our members posts appear on colts.com in another couple of different ways
Recently active threads appear on the home page.
Recent Blog Posts are featured on the articles pages (for example here: http://www.colts.com...18-55caf884ecd0

As always you can join or log in with your facebook or twitter accounts as well.
Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.

A friend sent me this video and I just wanted to share it with all of you.
I have no words for how this impacted me. Exactly what I needed to hear and see is the closest I can come. I've saved it along with this picture that my daughter sent me. She received it from an Italian Friend. It says
    Life is short, be happy.

On friday afternoon, my girls and I headed downtown to check out the free stuff in Indy's Superbowl village.
We took the shuttle in from the old airport to save us having to park downtown. It only cost $2 each. On our way in, it took quite a while to navigate to the court house which is where we parked. So, we were quite glad we were not driving. They've got quite a few streets blocked off for the village and traffic is slow!
I felt so pleased for and proud of the City. Everything looked so festive with giant Super Bowl graphics everywhere. And it was just so cool to see so many Colts fans, wearing their Colts stuff EVERYWHERE. This was clearly a party for our city.
I did see a few Pat fans and even fewer giants fans. There were in the minority. Perhaps they were in restaurants and bars.......I don't know. But us Colts fans owned the streets for sure.
By far the most fun place in the Village was the Zipline. You could stand directly under it while brave souls when zipping over head, many of them UPSIDE DOWN. They were yelling and so was the crowd below. Very fun.
The zipline was right in front of the convention center which is where the NFL experience is. Also there were other games and the super cars.
We did get to the stadium but it was mostly blocked off...and we got questioned by security as we went around the barricade.
He said "Can I help you?"
We said "We want to see the stadium"
    He said "OK"
    weird
We went into the proshop and it was full of superbowl gear. The hats and regular mens tshirts were the usual price. But the women's stuff was outrageously expensive. $100 for a tank top.
If you want something to remember Indy's Superbowl, there is some stuff that doesn't have Pat or Giants logos on it. Check out the local stores. We saw tshirts at the grocery store that were $15 less than they were at the proshop.
Lastly, we headed down to the music stages. By this time it was dark (but still warm). We had thought that we might catch Fitz and the Tantrums.
But the crowd was really getting seriously large at that point and the stage area was packed. We managed to get almost all the way down to where the 2nd stage was but, it was packed and I mean packed.
I started to get more than a little claustrophobic. So did my girls. We decided to bag it and head home instead of staying.
I did see people with small children (even baby carriages) in this crowd. In fact I almost fell over one. I would not recommend bringing your children and babies into this area. The crowd was well behaved, it was just too dense.
We just could not believe how warm the weather was. I mean it was like 50 degrees and no rain or snow. Very unusual for February. I hear it's a phenomenon called the 'Arctic Oscillation'
Very convenient for it to happen this year, for sure.
All in all, we were glad we went, glad we wore our walking shoes because we circled everything twice I think. Indy did the city and the state so proud.
We may not be in this Super Bowl but, for me, it will always be INDY'S SUPERBOWL!

So, you either had something that you just had to post or for some reason, you decided today was the day you stopped and started posting.

Whatever the reason, welcome! We're glad you're here.

It can be a bit confusing getting started on any web site.
Breath deep, it's not as hard as it looks and most everyone here will help you out.
To get started, check out your settings
There are a lot of options there but one you should play with right away are your notification options.
If you have any questions, please shoot questions to me or any of the Community or Forum Moderators.

If you have just joined, you belong to the Rookie Group. This is your time to read and reply to threads and get to know the members and how we operate around here. It's also a good time for them to get to know you. If you like, you can make your first post here. Another thread you might want to read and reply to is here: http://forums.colts.com/topic/36427-i-love-this-forum/

A good rule of thumb is be nice, be civil. Don't be 'that guy'......even if you run into someone who.....well IS that guy. We have all types here, you are not going to like all of them but I'm sure you will find many that you do like.

Don't expect everyone to be as knowledgable as you. We are casual as well as avid fans here. Don't feel stupid if you are not a football genius. Most of us aren't. Lucky for us there are several here who actually ARE and are more than happy to explains X's, O's and even salary caps.

Our members are male, female, all age groups, & even fans of other NFL teams. All of these people find ways to get along in real life and we expect the same here.

Here's another idea, as you read through threads, click the like button. Everybody likes likes. It's a good way to start letting people know you are here.

Read the rules if you want specifics. We are a moderated site. We aspire always to be a family friendly site. If you violate the rules, you will likely hear from one of the mods. And as you probably heard your mother say "We don't care who started it"

Rookies have posting restrictions. Please do not take this personally. We do this to catch spammers, trolls, and posters with bad attitudes. This makes for a much more pleasant place for our posters. As a rookie, you may post up to 5 posts per day and all of them must be approved by a moderator before they go live. Don't worry, this only lasts for 10 posts. After your 10th post you belong to the New Member group. New members are pretty much like Members, they just have fewer posts. When you reach 100 posts, you automatically become one of the Members.

Rookies cannot create threads. But once you graduate to the New Member group, that restriction is lifted.

    Looking forward to your posts!

Let me know if you have questions. Here's a couple of "how tos' to get you started: http://forums.colts.com/index.php?/blog/1-moderation-and-other-site-topics/

From time to time.......we will have among us a troll.
These are internet personas who exist to inflame, irritate, mock and generally call attention to themselves in a way that disrupts the boards.
There are many many different types of trolls and certainly some are better than others . They will often stay just inside the rules and they may also post (at times) in a credible manner.
In an internet environment, it can be difficult to distinguish real people from trolls.
When you've dealt with trolls in the past, it's easy to get paranoid and see trolls where there may just be............your average, every day, argumentative type guy. (as if we have any of those here! )
It's also easy to get angry and frustrated (which is exactly what most trolls want).
When we have trolls here, our membership is awesome at flagging them and and staying out of the troll game.
It can take some time for moderation to be certain that someone is in fact trolling the boards and we appreciate your patience and assistance when we have a suspected troll in our midst.
In case you are interested, there are tons of good reads out on the web about trolls.

What a truly bizarre season 2010 has been.
Worst off season EVER (if that’s possible), nothing but CBA stuff
Weird pre-season with the Colts winning one @ Bengals. Don’t see that too often.
Playoff Dreams DASHED before the season even started (with Manning’s neck surgery)
Bob Sanders wearing a Charger uniform. (PAINFUL)
Musical Quarterbacks with none of them able to make anything happen until it was far too late for any playoff chances and fans (strangely) rooting for losses in order to gain the #1 draft pick
Player after player going down with injury
Constant Roster changes… (Props to the fans who knew who all our guys were in any given game. You earned the title DIE HARD COLTS FAN) SERIOUSLY!
    Talk of trading Manning? WHAT?
Fans pitted against players, coaches, the front office, and each other.
The media pitted against our coach and FO

We lose 13 games in a row and are humiliated by the Saints on national TV by a 67 – 7 loss in week 7.
Did it have to be the Saints?
Did it have to be SO HUMULIATING?
Did it have to be on National TV?
At my house, we counted the number of times they replayed tape of the Saints SB victory over us………..ugh, with a side of UGH!!!!!!!!! Flashbacks!
Watching the games became excruciating. A comment my nephew made to me while we were watching the Falcons @ Colts game really rang true, “There is nothing worse than watching your team give up”
And it did look like they gave up.
All season long, I wondered, “How can this be? How can we be THIS BAD?”. Sure, we lost Manning and and other starters, but seriously………anyone who makes it to the NFL is an elite athlete.
They should be able to win…..or at least be somewhat competitive.
WHY WERE THEY SO COMPLETELY HAPLESS, miserable, woebegone, wretched, forlorn; pathetic, pitiable.
It reminded me of the Titans 6 game losing streak in 2009 that had everyone scratching their heads. How could they go from 13-3 in 2008 to that?
I wondered if I would ever see the bottom reached on just how bad we could be.
We could not score TDs. Fans began to celebrate first downs as though they were TDs
We were record-setting BAD: We went club-record eight straight games without the lead. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it tied the longest such streak in the NFL's modern era (since 1933). That, my friends…….is some serious badness!
We were like The Replacements……..but without the HEART!
Then, on November 29, just before the Colts played @ Patriots, our Defensive coordinator was fired and we switched QBs.
Dan Orlovsky.? The guy who led the 0-16 Lions? The guy we cut and then resigned this season?
    *confused but why not?*
    That’s when things got interesting.
Just when most fans had set their hopes on locking up the #1 draft pick and starting a new era………..
In week 15 in a game that appeared to be nothing more than a pillow fight at first……..one thing stood out to me. The Colts had the lead! WHAT?
And while the Titans had handed us our hats in week 8 with a 27-10 loss……..the Colts had their first win of the season 27-13 in week 15!!!!!!!
We beat a team in playoff contention! (Interestingly the last time the Colts won was also against the Titans in January of 2010)
    Was the losing streak over?
YES! In the last home game of the season, the Colts win dramatically with a 19-16 victory over The AFC South champion Texans.
Yes we beat the Texans. They did NOT give it to us.
The team that won our season opener this year AND last year………..lost to the ‘Worst Team Imaginable’
But more than that, the Colts did this dramatically with a TD by Reggie Wayne with only 19 seconds remaining.
Wow! THAT is what I’m talking about! The cardiac come from behind Colts MAKE A COMEBACK
I was thinking this morning about the 2009 season and all the heart stopping, come from behind, never say NEVER, Wins the Colts had. And those games, and that grit…………was ended with a loss in which the starters were pulled.
I will admit, I had to be talked off the ledge that night. Talking to my brother on the phone he was like “It’s OK, I see what we’re doing, it makes sense”
After calming down, I came to accept the “business of winning’ aspect of the game.
I don’t accept that any more.
The Colts got it done last night and even though it’s too late to do anything but possibly ruin our shot at the #1 draft pick……… the come from behind, do what it takes, cardiac Colts ARE BACK!
This is their greatest come from behind victory ever, turning around the worst season imaginable. THAT, my friends Is the RIGHT Stuff!
I say GO COLTS and BEAT the Jaguars!!!!!!!!!!!!
The one game at a time, next man up kind of stuff is why I watch this team.
Don’t mess with the mojo for any reason.
    GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We really are the Replacements now!
Cue Gloria Gaynor and let’s line dance! I used to cry but now I hold my head up high!
