HUMP DAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!
-
I'm cooking for 13 on Thanksgiving and had the menu all planned, list made, cooking timeline set. One is vegetarian and I had plenty of veggie options. I just found out another is both gluten and dairy free. EVERYTHING has gluten and/or dairy. I am FREAKING OUT

Cooking and eating gluten free is hell, I tried it once for fun for two weeks just to see what it was all about as almost a fad diet experimentation. It was during a hot period in the summer and it was easy just to eat salads with meat and then WHOOPS, salad dressings can have gluten!!!!! I had to stop it since I found out my husband was going through fast food drive thrus in private and was starving. Â
Â
Most meat and veggies do not have gluten. The gravy and stuffing would be a problem though. And I hate any deserts that are gluten free, ick. I mean give me a real desert.
Â
I am lucky I don't have to cook anything for Thanksgiving outside of making one desert lol.
Good luck Nadine! I am sure it will all come out terrific in the end.

I would like for everyone here to make a new years resolution to report all profanity and sexual innuendo masked and otherwise. This is a family friendly site and we need a bit of a hand keeping that way

Been helping my daughter with her new house and she pointed out to me "you think caulk is the answer to everything" lol, guess I do, caulk, joint compound, and duct tape are a home owners best friends

lol! I remember many many many years ago (BDT - before duct tape) my dads friend was doing a little (a lot) of fixer up and his home. The spacing between the walls - no paneling was a headache so he used masking tape. He taped the joints and painted over it and it looked great and it lasted many years.

Listening to so much Beatles this week reminded me how much of George Harrison's music I loved. Need to repurchase his stuff on cd.

yes, you cannot trap and relocate them without permits and to get those you have to prove you've tried to deter. The good news is, we hung a bunch of DVDs from the house.......and it looks very strange but so far it is working.
One of my neighbors has covered one whole side of his house with aluminum foil. Woodpeckers don't like reflections

A recent study found that the amount of negative words used on social media...for an area was more predictive of heart attacks than traditional public health methods. So, that's another reason why people should simmer down

I hate bundled 'promotional' pricing. It's just a way to jack up what you pay to an unreasonable price if you fail to watch the renew date. Also hate auto renewal. It's a way to do the same thing

I got rid of ATT, in part because I was sick and tired of the 'rental fees' for the boxes they require I have, in part because most of the channels were pay per view/subscribe, and in part because when I went to look at 'renegotiating' there was also a charge for that. Went back to basic cable and bought a dvr which is what I mostly use anyway. Antenna TV works really well for most of what I watch. Now I have an issue with one of my tvs not getting anything near an ok pictur...
