@Nadineis another one.
To make it clear: I respect the hell out of the franchise.
It’s the fact that some of the most heartbreaking losses in my lifetime between being a Colts and Bengals fan have come at the hands of Pittsburgh. And their fan base… is not very classy from my personal experience.
True story
I just want revenge for the 1995 AFC championship is all

Several posts were removed from this thread because it went too off topic
It's difficult when this happens. We understand that sometimes conversations meander in different directions. But, in this case it just went far. So, sadly, some posts that were good posts were taken down.
Please make an effort to post in the thread related what you want to say.

The latest Covid variant J1 is really strong and tough to shake. I took all vaccines and booster shots and I still got it. Its taking over 10 days to get over it. Thats even with taking Paxlovoid (5 days). If Irsay got this variant, my thoughts and prayers are with Jim.
hope you make a full recovery

Should close this thread, nothing good is going to come from debating addictions.
I hear you
But for now I think most people care and want to wish him well. If it gets ugly we'll close

You seem to be encouraging us to build a perceived sense of self-importance, that because we are on a Colts forum, we are somehow closer to the Irsay's and need to express some sort of sensitivity. We're not close to him and his family, and we are not like circling vultures trying to decide who will get the lamp and who gets the washer and dryer.
I'm a fan and I care about the future of the Colts. To me, ownership simply is a function of that.
wow, ok
Sad

WTH? Does he read the forums? Its not in my nature to grandstand my sympathy.
Seems like an appropriate thread to discuss transition of ownership.
What seems appropriate to me is to wish him well and not divide up his assets just yet.
That just seems insensitive and mean spirited.

A change in ownership from Jimmy to the daughters seems like an opportunity for the NFL to make a play. The daughters can cash out of the Colts all together after dad dies, but would never elude to such a thing when he's still listening.
The NFL cares about having the biggest markets possible and not so much about who any specific owner is.
WTH?
Can we just wish JIm and his family the best?

1971, I became a Colts fan at 7 years old.
I had the opportunity to see the Colts play Seattle, 1st time was a preseason game in the RCA Dome against the Seahawks and the 2nd time in Seattle for a Christmas Eve game.
I will see my first game at Lucas Oil Stadium when the Texans come to Indy in a couple of weeks.
Glad you decided to join.
Welcome!
