I was once talking to a friend from Alaska and he said he and many other families are members of fitness clubs. I said wow there must be a whole bunch of fit families. He said no but we're clean and have good personal hygiene. Of course my reaction was huh! He said as a back-up to your water line freezing they can now shower at the fitness center.

good plan gfb,if you don't mind going there with bed head and bad breath! I discovered there was a fire hydrant on my street that some crew had opened and were letting shoot out water this a.m. I wonder if that caused my problems.

Sorry to hear about your water pipe problem Nadine. Dripping your faucets at nights when the temperatures get bitterly cold & below zero is always a good idea. Frozen pipes in a house are the worst. I speak from experience on that 1 BTW.
