  1. Gus has lost every time he played the Raiders and Derek Carr. He can make changes to change the outcome OR he can continue to do what he always does and we will suffer the same result. If Shane and Cooter can game plan the offense than WHY can't Gus do the same with the defense? It is going to be PUT up or SHUT up time. The Colts are favored and it is time the defense and ST create some take aways.
  2. Across the league the players are worn out..... I know they are banged up and in alot of ways the NFL has overstretched the players and coaches with : International games, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday games. It is over done in my opinion. Now they want them to play in Brazil.
  3. If the Colts does not make the playoff again, Irsay will have a tantrum. Somebody is going to bear that rant. My bet is going to be on the defensive side of the ball. We choose to stay with Gus Bradley when Jim Schwartz was available and interviewed.
  4. We are heading to the last two games, starting with the Raiders who Gus Bradley has lost every time, including the Saints with Derek Carr. If we lose this game he is gone and his selected staff. The last game against the Texans carries the same weight as our final 2020 game with Jacksonville where we were eliminated from the playoffs. Ballard, Gus Bradley and a number of Colts high playing players are on the "hot seat". If we lose to the Texans in Indy, accountability will be felt throughout the team. I don't see us losing but its the sense of urgency on part of the players/coaches. We did not expect to be in this position (at the start of the year) but the fact is we are in position to make the playoff or possibly win the division.
  5. During this season, we have had the practice squad come through for some of the key injuries: Zach Moss, Trevor Semion, Goody, DJ Montgomery and whoever is going to take McKenzie and Tony Browns place. Ballard has taken full advantage of his draft order and combing through the wires. He and his team has done a great job this year.
  6. I think Reggie will have a big say as to Jarvis Landry. They are both vets and if he can be helpful during the playoff it will be well worth it.
  7. AR was out of his sling and shaking and rotating his arm and hands to the Colts cam after the Steelers game. I was pleasantly shocked and glad to see that. He is recovering really well and he will be ready to roll next camp. I can see him working out with his receivers during the offseason.
  8. Minshew needed the bye week to recharge and chill out. He came back a rejuvenated guy and it shows. I believe Shane knows Minshew very well and is managing him like a virtuoso. His play calling and game plan has kept the opposing DC guessing as to who is going to play a larger role in our offense. Shane also adjusts his plans at halftime which none of our previous coaches or OC did very well.
  9. They have accomplished alot more than what was expected. With AR returning and a solid draft we can plan on making the playoff next year. If however we make it to the playoff, it is adding frosting on the cake. I rather play down the expectation because next year looks very promising, especially with Shane Steichen.
  10. Good Luck. Knowing T.L he is going to show his courage to play hurt. There is no doubt that ankle was traumatized so some point it is going to really be stressed further. The key is Trevor's judgement. Myles Garrett is going to come after him and his mobility maybe reduced.
  11. That is too many concussion on Kelly. I think Ballard may need to trade and draft more Centers, even if Pinter returns. Brad Smith is also a liabiity.
  12. We won more games so far than last year!! Congratulations. Keep it rolling.... I think the entire team and coaches deserve a week off. Steichen has been pushing since he was hired and could really use a rest.
  13. No way will Kraft fire Bill. Bill will leave on his own terms. He may change his role from coach to GM, but he is the greatest Patriot coach of all times. In the early days, he was the genius that created a super defense and Tom Brady the time to develop.
  14. Use KJ Hamler that is on the practice squad. We got him from the Broncos when Sean Peyton was upset we signed him. Kid is a 2nd rounder. WR/KR/PR
  15. Shaq against the Panthers was a LB that was a shadow of his Maniac days. We should help him retire after this season.
  16. I believe there is the opportunity to take this time for Steichen/Ballard to focus on an offensive strategy that focuses on our strengths: 2 Top RB, An experienced QB, An above average OL, A stable of TE, and Josh Downs/Pittman. It may take 10 games to figure it out but just imagine if we do, and next year we get AR back.
  17. Trade for Jeudy IF Steichen agrees. Ballard and his scouts have not done well in picking WR's. Reich and Ballard picked Paris Campbell versus Terry McLaughlin, who begged the Colts to draft him.
  18. We are not the Colts of last year. Our wins this year creates confidence in me tht Steichen knows how to design plays to maximize their existing talents. Meanwhile, Ballard keeps adding new talent like JK Hamler. We have Jelani Woods on the back burner, and a happy and healthy JT. I feel optimistic as a Colt fan. I really like the Steichen/Minshew combination and the OL improvement.
  19. Our season expectations have been already exceeded with three wins. (Last year we only won 4 games) AR is not lost for the season and Minshew is more than adequate to lead this team to more wins. AR will learn from the sidelines while Steichen will design more plays involving our strength: Running and TE. We lead the division and our chances of getting into the playoffs is good. I believe we have the right coaching staff and HC, but most important so does the players. This team is not all based on ONE player, even less a rookie QB. Let us celebrate our win and breaking the Titan streak. Beat the Jags in Jax. Go Colts!!!
  20. I watched the Titans games this year and they did not impress me because of Tannehill. All their home games were wins and all their losses were away. Gud Bradley does not have a better DL scheme and coverage on D'Andre Hopkins we will have a tough game. As for our offense we will give them fits with a AR and our TE's. Josh should do well as most their losses came from short intermediate passes. AR RPO will give Autry and Simmons fit and basically neutralize their LBs. This should be a good game for Pittman and Pierce because their safeties will play closer to the line of scrimmage. If JT plays and Steichen uses him for screen plays and Zach between the tackles. Colt wins this Sunday. 24-17
  21. Holder said that Jelani came in at the preseason with some physical results that the staff had an issue with. I think this continues to be the issue until he fixes that. We do have four TEs as of now in rotation. Steichen is creatively using them.
  22. I rather see a team that is moving in the same direction versus having a super star that is disgruntled and ruin the locker room. If JT remains he will have to prove to me that he really wants to help the team. Personally, I don't see it happening and he may even get AR hurt by not blocking.
  23. The Eagles will be hunted all year, so keep their head on a swivel. There is no more surprises regarding Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown. The best of luck this year.
  24. If there are no takers, will JT play for the Colts? I think he like Steeler's Leveon Bell will just sit out till the cows come home. Unfortunately, he stands to lose game checks going forward. One thing that will further work against him is that a "no" taker situation further leads teams to believe that his injury is worse than we imagine.
  25. Rich Eisen has ran the last two shows basically misinforming and misleading about the JT situation. We have all listened to Irsay speak, his twitter and JT twitter. NO where did Irsay say HE WAS NOT going to sign an extension for JT. All he said is that the Players union agreed to a contract that under values RBs. Upon JT's request Irsay did respond JT that he will NOT TRADE JT. He did not say he will not sign JT before his rookie contract is up, which Ballard has done with Hines, Quenton, Shaq... ( but remember it was NEVER demanded by the player.) The media, namely ESPN and guys like Eisen pushes a narrative of CONJECTURES and MISREADS OF INTENTIONS that Colt management are "heartless" to their players. As a fan I think otherwise. JT got himself poor representation who does not know how to negotiate with the Colts. At the end, I believe JT will listen to reason and he will get his money.
