  1. Ballard is known for drafting players who have exception skills and break combine records. Worthy was the fastest in the 40 times. Shane and Reggie were in Austin last week for the Texas Pro Day and Worthy supposedly improved on the other combine scores. I will not be surprised if he is high on the Colts draft board.

  2. Stop chasing Sneed for two key reasons:  1- He wants to  get 23 milliion average over 4 years, highest paid safety, KC wants high draft compensation. Not worth it.  2- He has knee issues and will be injury prone on our turf.

Let KC stew on trying to pay his 19.6 million exclusive franchise tag, while covering their existing plans for LT, etc... Even with Mahomes restructuring and freeing up 21.6 million they are still in a bind.

Like the Titans, I would use the money for a veteran WR, TE or another safety. Unfortunately Nick Cross and Thomas or Blackmon are the answers for Gus's scheme.

  3. The key is to keep it simple and game plan for JT and Pitt/Downs. Defenses will keep their focus on AR so it will open it up for JT and Pitt/Downs. We need a great TE. We don't have one on the bench.

  4. Flacco will help AR in pre-read defenses and to make quick decisions. Tom Brady has always said that Coaches plays chess and the QB has to react to the plays given, which leads most of them to run. Flacco like Rivers has learned how to react to bad play calls and will teach AR.

  5. Shane got him a QB coach and that is a good thing. The key factor is the intellectual side of playing the position that he has to master. He calls himself Cam Newton, Lamar Jackson and neither impresses me with reading defenses. But before all that is learning when he should and how to use his legs and size. Otherwise, His shelf life will be short.

  6. The latest Covid variant J1 is really strong and tough to shake. I took all vaccines and booster shots and I still got it. Its taking over 10 days to get over it. Thats even with taking Paxlovoid (5 days). If Irsay got this variant, my thoughts and prayers are with Jim.

  7. We never replaced Jack Doyle. None of our TEs are explosive. We need a Travis Kelce, Zach Ertz, Kittle type of TE. What we have are backup TE who cannot stay healthy. Draft Brock Bowers. We need  proven vet WRs like the Jax did with Christian Kirk and Ridley. With Steichen's creativity we should be ok. Our OL needs depth because Ryan, Brad are unreliable/available and they are overpaid. Ballard need to open the check book or he will demoralize Steichen's staff. He needs to go all chips in.

  8. What we need to takeaway was Ballard's latest assessment of Anthony Richarson as a "passer" and not just a running Lamar Jackson. Today Lamar is a passer and he is lethal throughout this season. What nobody mentions is that being a passer is not enough. You have to have the cerebral quickness and intuition in reading an ever changing defense from pre to post snap. Let this past season help AR develop that aspect of the game. He has the humility, perseverance and thirst for knowledge. With Steichen's tutelage he is going to be one of the great's.

  9. This is the make or break year for APierce. Last year the limitation was Minshew. We also need one or two more veteran explosive WRs. The other area is  the OL. we need depth Braden and Ryan always getting hurt. Convert JT to a Deebo Samuel role.

  10. We need a new defensive strategy. Gus and his staff are veteran coaches and hopefully Steichen will demand that they change. Ballard really needs to sign explosive defensive and offensive players this offseason. Its his 8th season and in my books he is on the hot seat. We need Safeties of the Bob Sanders mold. Cross and Thomas don't cut it.

  11. Disappointed with the lost, but as painful as it is there are some positives coming from this loss. Irsay, Ballard, coaches and players are on board with Steichen's leadership and RPO philosophy. Now Ballard needs to draft, trade to fill Steichen's wish list. The DC is an area that could see some changes.

  12. It is good  to hear that RT Braden Smith is returning to the lineup, after missing half of the season due to injuries. I hope he plays to his starndard and not just make a token appearance. We need to revisit his contract and Ryan Kelly in the offseason. We need more younger and reliable players. This draft should produce a number of great candidates.

  13. Resign these players (unless if their demand is outrageous): Gardner Minshew, Pittman, Kenny Moore, Rigoberto, Danny Pinter, Tyquan Lewis.

This will be the real first draft by Shane Steichen and his staff. Let him drive the decisions while Ballard just executes the choices. Shane is alot sharper on how to redesign a SB team than Ballard. We have good scouts so Ballard needs to rein-in his ego and let Shane do his thing.

  14. We improved the offense with a creative and the leadership of Shane Steichen. In my humble opinion I believe Gus Bradley is a Ballard choice and like Reich and Eberflus they are not creative enough and aggressive to the new football being played. Either Ballard steps aside and leave it to Shane to select his own DC and staff, or leave the GM position.
