As much as Id love to see Ballard do the same thing, history has shown that very very very rarely does going on a super spending spree in FA result in any real gains. The Jags did it many times, and again after they draft Trevor Lawrence. They’ve gone no where. Browns did it several times. Chargers did it with Herbert.

all after just one season with their rookie QBs. All of them showed promise so they went all in.

meanwhile, teams like the Bills and Chiefs, spent the money more wisely and slowly, albeit that is starting to catch up because of how well they’ve drafted and developed their own while also supplementing with quality FA. This is the model I think Ballard is trying to replicate.

I don’t think Chris Ballard has the time for the slower approach, he has his quarterback and his head coach. If Chris Ballard wants to keep his job results matter now.

The Texans are doing what any team with a young talented QB should be doing, stacking the roster and using the cheap QB window to try to create a contention window. Good for them...

I don’t understand why Colts aren’t doing the same it’s not like Chris Ballard’s going to have a second shot at this?

    Ravens 1-3

    49ers 4-6

I want Lions to win so bad. I just believe 49ers are the SB champs this year. 49ers and Ravens are the SB game IMO. I hope it's the Lions though ugh.. Lions make SB I'm putting a lot of money on them. Haha

I’m going with what I want to happen, don’t have any money on this Lol to cheap, go Lions!

We have had "success" these past 7 years. If you want to see unsuccessful look at the Colts from 1978-1998. Twenty years of brutally uncompetitive football. Ballard finally did make the decision to draft the quarterback, because he was finally in position to do so! In his first 7 years of gm, who would you have wanted him to draft? The only qb's reseaonably available to him were that trio of bust in 2018(but we still had Luck), so he made the trade with the jest, and took Nelson at 6. Maybe could have moved up for Hebert in 2020, but traded that first round pick for Buckner. So this past year, being positioned at 4, and without having to give up any draft capital to move up, he grabbed Richardson(I'm happy with Richardson, though I've been on record here the past year and a half saying how badly I wanted to move up to 1 and take Stroud). The only real problem with this Colt team is the same as when Manning and Luck were the qb's, we play triple vanilla, super soft and cushy zone defense and don't mix  in nearly enough variety of blitz packages and different coverages.

We could have moved up and drafted Jordan love. We had the extra second round pick that year.

Colts came through for me. I was the only one who took them out of the top 4 this week. I should not have switched to the Panthers but oh well.

I almost asked to switch my pick to the Colts this morning, I had a feeling 😫

I don’t put weight into gambling. I don’t care what the general public is betting on, I don’t care what the pro bettors are gambling on (even though they are probably the most reputable, even though they do miss, just better at hedging bets and profiting) and I especially don’t care what analysts think, who are seemingly wrong as much as they are right.

At the end of the day, the players play and decide outcomes (except for when the refs do in a close game.)

With that said, who do you predict to win the game? I can’t see Atlantis offens putting up enough points to beat the Colts just my two cents.
