before early passing's that signature voice for the group was amazing, esp in great remake origianally quit old cover songs or remakes of old songs with different titles that became major hits, Going up the country especially & on the road again , the latter was a remake of a guy named tom Johnson i thing under a different name but remade as on the road again in the 1950's & based on tom Johnson big railroad blues & tom Johnsons group of the 1920's was called Canned Heat Blues , thus their name, Many of those that played for canned heat instead played later I think for John Mayall
wilson played a great harmonica
Roling & Tumbling also a goody they , muddy waters and many did versions of
I think i have my facts generally right , any way if not just work with me or as Canned heat also sang Lets Work Together - & on that notes lets hope all Colt players & staff work together

I understand what you are saying. I baby sat one of my best friends when he decided to do heroin and thought I was going to lose him more than once. He finally got straight after a few years and has done great for quite a long time now. Sorry to hear you lost a couple of friends due to that. Gone but never forgotten. Good friends are hard to come by and I appreciate your friendship for sure. Take care.

Thank you. I won't get my hopes up too high but I am optimistic. The pass rush looked good on Thursday. I was not too pleased with Zim's decision to sit Teddy. Teddy could use the reps.
I like CJ Ham too but he probably won't make the team. Another team will sign him.
I am going to MN in October for the Texans game. Can't wait!

Great selection RR7! Amen.
I respect individuals like yourself who view metal as an artistic artform rather than merely diss-ing it as a worthy genre to listen to frequently.
Too many critics think metal is just loud amps, shouting, & grunting, but what they fail to grasp is that the best metal bands know how to harmonize, use clever hooks, & deploy complicated drum solos, guitar riffs, & intricate bridges throughout.
You get it man. Thanks.

Speaking of Zeppelin Barry, I love that line in 'Ramble On' where Plant sings the line: "T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair. But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah."
I'm a huge JRR Tolkien fan ever since I read his book trilogies--The Hobbit & Lord Of The Rings.

All great selections RR7! I need to give my brother Jay Kirk credit for posting Blackfoot's "Highway Song" a long time ago when we 1st became friends on the Forum. I love that number man. I never get tired of it no matter how many times I play it.
I knew of Blackfoot as a band, but it had been awhile since I listened to them. Jay's deserves major props for reminding me how great this group was again & still is.
You Rock Jay!

One of the best power ballads ever bleeping recorded man. Queensryche is such a superb band with intricate musical arrangements. I always think of cigarette lighters & tiny flames swaying in the crowd whenever I hear that timeless track.
I miss that. Lighters vs people recording concerts on their cell phones now. Can't they just soak up the ambiance & enjoy the moment? Sigh. Why even buy the ticket & drive to the venue if a person refuses to enjoy their surroundings?
I know Jules, Bogie, RR7, & CBE know what I'm talkin' bout. LOL!

My tribute to "The Greatest"....today's world is in need of heroes like him. RIP Champ!

I remember listening to this on my drive to work back in 1998....he was put on the spot and made a great song better, true genius.

I hear ya RR7. I have no venom toward grunge at all now & like you, SW1 is metal head at my core. You're preaching to the choir my brother.
We metal heads may not fill full blown stadium arenas anymore, but we are a very loyal & devoted fan base no doubt. Those raised on Metal will never leave it or purge ourselves from it. It's in our blood & DNA baby. I know exactly what you mean RR7.
Nice chatting you as always.

" IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME WELL " lost first / or 2nd ? girlfriend there to Spencer Dryden, drummer, in rock & roll hall of fame, this is after he played for Airplane I think or may have been an airplane concert , but think was & at a Dead / New Riders of the Purple stage concert when he was the Riders Drummer & my friends had an in and we partied with Riders in back room after concert, Remember a series of folding doors in said room that when opened revealed , well some interesting things lets say - memory can get a bit foggy after all these years, all those concerts & who was playing for who at any particular time
But those memories do serve me well from this wheels on fire, played by the Band written by Dylan
The perils of being a DEAD HEAD & ones memories , will see Dead & Company July 7, small outdoor amphitheter

Hey Colts_Fan12, I want to apologize for my Step Son pretending to be me and starting that ridiculous argument with you. He has done this to me before and feel terrible that he did that to you. I turned on the computer this morning and saw a notification from you and when I read it I was floored...I went back and looked at the exchange. Again my apologies and I hope you can accept them? Have a nice rest of your weekend.
