What? There is Crystal Ball posted here yet? That travesty must be remedied immediately.
"Crystal ball
There's so many things I need to know
Crystal ball
There's so many things I've got to knowI've just gotta know..."
I love how crystal ball is emphasized in the chorus vocally. A great arrangement in my estimation.

Blondie's "The Tide Is High" is hands down my favorite song of hers with a strong Jazz vibe to that timeless track. I never get tired of that song either.
I do like "In This Moment's cover of "Call Me" too RR7....
I grew up on Blondie as a kid so I respect any band that keeps her music fresh & alive man.

1 last thing about Steve Miller that resonates with me is that usually supremely gifted musicians tend to be dismissive of other music enthusiasts not on the same plane as them. Not Steve. He just lives for helping musicians out & get better regardless of your level of expertise or desire to blow off steam.
Translation: Mr. Miller treats all walks of life & talent the exact same way. With respect, joy, & dignity. He really does. The everyman's everyman for lack of a better phrase. Love the guy!

Lol! I don't want to seem like I preach. I really don't. Though there is so much bull% in this Country today that if you have an open mind..you are branded a "Liberal". I have been a registered Independent for almost 20 years...neither side is out for us. Just a pissing contest between self entitled entities that want to rape you of your tax dollars. I appreciate those who tell it like it is, they are the true warriors of the people.

I love the into guitar riff on "Running Down A Dream." The rhyming lyrics from "Into The Great Wide Open" like...
"His leather jacket had chains that would jingle
They both met movie stars, partied and mingled
Their A&R man said, "I don't hear a single."The dude is King & we all know 'It's Good To Be King" right? Why thank you. Thank you very much. Now, where the hades is my peanut butter & banana sandwich?

I revere Ann & Nancy Wilson. Such strong women who excelled at bridges, melodies, & lyrics. They knew instinctively the value in catchy hooks & melodies. Something metal & hard rock bands tend to ignore to their detriment I'm afraid.
Plus, Ann & Nancy understood the importance of good diction & annunciation of words or phrases when singing songs live & in the studio.

Great selection RR7! Amen.
I respect individuals like yourself who view metal as an artistic artform rather than merely diss-ing it as a worthy genre to listen to frequently.
Too many critics think metal is just loud amps, shouting, & grunting, but what they fail to grasp is that the best metal bands know how to harmonize, use clever hooks, & deploy complicated drum solos, guitar riffs, & intricate bridges throughout.
You get it man. Thanks.

Speaking of Zeppelin Barry, I love that line in 'Ramble On' where Plant sings the line: "T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair. But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah."
I'm a huge JRR Tolkien fan ever since I read his book trilogies--The Hobbit & Lord Of The Rings.
