I always thought this song would be great for a commercial spoofing ordinary coolers so cold that you think it's the equivalent of cryogenic freezing.

Oops! I meant that joke for Foreigner's "Cold As Ice" song not "Urgent." My bad. LOL!

  2. Top 10 All time Albums,  Yes, we called them that....please feel free to add as always.....in no particular

I remember when Dave Mustaine released this album & I knew Metallica made a huge mistake firing him. Every track on here is groundbreaking in the metal arena. Nobody was putting together such complicated arrangements on guitar. Not even close.

Plus, Nick Menza RIP made sounds come out of his drums that truly blew the doors off your house & shattered your windows too. LOL! Hard to believe such a scrawny guy could bring the thunder & lightning behind his kit but he could. Amazing man. Jesus. See...

I always feel compelled to defend Megadeth because they always get dismissed over Metallica & Dave is a genius in the metal realm. He truly is. Right up there with Ronnie James Dio. No, I'm not kidding.

As far as debut albums are concerned, this Scorpions one still holds up today.

"Big City Nights" & "Still Loving You" were awesome tracks, but I liked the snare drum on...

Opps! I mean't to say Saxes aren't just for jazz & rhythm & blues as you know RR7.

I wish status updates had an edit button to fix mistakes & other typos.

Thanks for asking RR7. I'm alright I guess or still kicking as they say. Hopefully, all is quiet on the western front on your end too brother.

Luckily for all of us, our friends are smart enough to figure out what we were trying to say minus a few grammar & punctuation errors.

  4. Watched "Reservoir Dogs" again last night, "K-Billy's Super Sounds of the Seventies Weekend ...was a great background for it.  I decided to listen to some 70's tunes.  Please feel free to add....

When I hear the original "The Real Me" by the Who, I always think of the Blackie Lawless WASP cover that is a pretty solid re-make actually.

  5. We have a joke masquerading as the POTUS........wake up.  If you don't like what I have to say....too bad!  I felt like listening to some guys who changed music in the 60's...

Remember this if somehow the draft gets reinstated.....while I appreciate anyone's service, there needs to be a relevant reason!  Also remember those who ran from it who condone it!

Neil Young and Steven Stills both came from Buffalo Springfield. Them, the Hollies and the Byrds was the starting of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

What a super group especially at the time.

Oh yeah... Ive seen them live twice.  Its a shame Crosby and Nash are not talking.... arguably the most talented of the four.... no one harmonizes like CSNY

Not only that RR7, Carlos Santana's wife, Cindy Blackman is a spectacular drummer. Just fantastic with roots in jazz. Plus, she's Lenny's Kravitz's former percussionist too. The woman is incredible on stage. Trust me.

SW1 is not the best amateur drummer myself, but I've always had an ear for who truly is.

"Are you gonna go my [Cindy Blackman's] way?" Ah yeah, hello...

I miss Dave Letterman & Paul Shaffer man. I just like those fellas & their Indiana roots. Nice guys.

Playing the "Game Of Love" is never fun, but sometimes real chemistry is found by serendipity or others supernatural forces at play.

Alicia Keys & Carlos Santana together. Nice. I can die now.

Ah yes, Johnny Cougar rocks. Sorry, John hates when I call him that. It's outta love for you as a musician Mr. Mellencamp.

I love the number "Jackie Brown." It's such a powerful song that really makes you think...

Not to intrude on your musical moment with NFLfan RR7, but it's impossible not to listen to 'Oh What A Night' & shimmy your hips in your computer chair & do some serious karaoke man.

The high pitched chorus is what does it. And best of all, nobody got kicked in a certain area to hit that high note either. Yes, I went there. Sorry about that. It's who I am. It's what I do humor wise.

      Catchy tune though.

  10. You might know this dude...some strange rumors in the late 70's...

This is the 1 Rod Stewart song that whenever I hear it in my car or on my computer I stop & pause for a second & reflect. It's very hypnotic & trance like...

Can't you just picture Rod doing this number as an encore with the Bee Gees on stage? I sure can.

  11. I miss the days of reading my sports on a daily newspaper and weekly sports periodical. So much less sensationalism, fabrication and flat out lies back then.

I agree. The local newspaper here carries nothing but local HS stuff with little other.

I mean in the general sense of journalism. Today any turd with an internet connection, blog and a Twitter account is all of a sudden a source of sport's news? Sorry but most of the so called "sources" out there are spewing "news" that is made up or the watering down of the actual truth....
