You can disagree all you want he has not played well this half sorry.
People pumped up AR too early. He still has a long way to go. For starters, I just want to see him start and finish his first complete game.

is it him or the receivers, or both? He wasn’t afraid to hit downs, but downs can get open. The others seem like they can’t.
Too early to tell but probably a little of both. Pierce can't catch. Pittman can make a big play down field if given the opportunity. Downs gets open as you say. Isaiah McKensie is not consistent in my opinion...drops too many.

Yeah read the the last two sentences of my quoted post.

All of Richardson's big plays come from his legs. Yet to see him make a big play with his arm. His one TD pass was a short screen to Pittman who did most of the work to get into the end zone. Hopefully, we see more big plays passing from him soon. As I type this he hits Downs down the field. That is a start.

I was shocked at the lack of effort on Shaq's part on that last Puca reception. The coverage then the 2 hand touch "hit".
I'm not. He hasn't looked good in a long time. Looks like he is just out there right now. Hardly know he is even on the field.

Don’t have a accurate qb to get the ball to him..
Downs has much better games when Minshew is the QB. His target rate and utilization is higher.

Colts are not contesting any of these throws.
Rams just picking up first downs at will. Colts secondary out there looking like they just chilling.

Franklin is the enforcer on this defense now. Took Leonard's role.

Feared this type of game from our Colts. Everyone thought AR return meant the offense would look better. Not so fast...he is still a rookie prone to rookie mistakes and learning moments. Minshew gives Colts best opportunity to win now...less flash but more consistency. But the Colts will continue to start Richardson for the future...as they should. We should just go easy on the playoff expectations that come with being most likely temporarily in 1st in the AFC South.

What a win today by our Colts! First place in the AFC South by ourselves right now.

Good to have a legit FG kicker again.

Gardner got blasted. Never saw it coming. Colts fortunate not to lose that fumble.

Hi
Hi there buddy! 😌

Colts get too cute for school sometimes. Just kick the darn field goal right there. No need to overthink this stuff.

I like the pick. Prototypical Ballard build and traits. Dude is hands on and plays tight coverage. May get hit with many PI’s early in his NFL career until he pays his dues and refs learn & adapt to his aggressive coverage style. I like how he comes up and hits.

Concealing and lying are 2 different things.I know all about lying season and it’s not in the context that you’re using it. Respected coaches and front office folks don’t lie on the record, during lying season. They have other ways to put out false information. That’s what lying season is.
Integrity is important to me.
I’m not impressed with Steichen, as a person. He might be a gifted football mind. But honesty is so important. Players will follow an honest coach. They won’t follow a dishonest coach.
Drafting Richardson was a good risk. His upside is tremendous. However, don’t say that accuracy is the most import trait a quarterback can have, and then draft a quarterback with a lot of accuracy issues.
The lie was either said to be misleading (if so then it was not necessary), or Steichen didn’t honestly answer the question. Either way, it’s a red flag, and it should concern everyone. It certainly concerns me.
I love the Colts, but I call balls and strikes. Some people on this board don’t like that. That’s not my problem.
Or he was telling a truth about it being something HE valued but others also had a say and it wasn’t entirely just his decision…but a collaborative one. There were other qualities that he listed too and the Colts must have felt he checked enough boxes to make him their preferred option at 4. Obviously, the consensus saw enough there regarding his accuracy that they felt confident their coaching could correct. We will see if they were correct in that assessment.

Really did not see this coming. Who would take him in 2nd round? Colts? Haha.
Water finds its level. Levis is much more palpable as a second round pick for another team in my opinion.

If Steichen is a liar for what he said leading up to the draft so is everyone in the NFL.
Agreed. Lol

Im seeing Levi isn't picked in the 1st round. We maybe could've landed AR in the 2nd or 3rd round? Probably should've drafted a DE or OL and then get AR in the 2nd round
AR has an elite trait his 4.4 speed. Don’t think he would last to the 2nd. Levis is dropping for a reason. He was overhyped from the jump.

I’d rather have Richardson over Levis.
The Colts must have had the same concerns I did, because they had their pick.
Richardson was a good choice.
That said, we cannot overlook the fact that Steichen is a liar. It’s something we’re going to have to adjust to. We’ve had several years of an honest Ballard. Steichen is not going to be truthful. It’s a trait we should all be concerned about.
I know the shots are coming my way for saying this, but if you think about it… It’s deserved.
I liked your post for the first half of it. Glad the Colts did not take Levis. Very relieved. Richardson will be a boom or bust project but I have confidence in Steichen’s ability to get the best out of him. We will need patience though. I wouldn’t necessarily call Steichen a liar. They call this the lying season for a reason. Everyone is doing their best to conceal their true intentions.

Even more important that Colts took matters in their own hands and lost today. Can’t count on anyone else. Good for them.

An ugly half of football from our Colts. 0-20. Defense needs to somehow pitch a shutout in the second half and we need our offense to muster up 3 TD drives. Put in Minshew. lol
