Yes Jules you never know.  Here is hoping the Colts can make a good GM hire and we have a solid off-season.  There have been teams that turned it around in just one off season.  Look at the Falcons this year vs. last.  As a fan, I know that my energy has been rejuvenated and I'm now looking forward to next season.

I hear ya man. I'm not thrilled that Pagano will be back but its hard not to be excited at the possibility of having a better GM.

I was more anti Grigson then Pagano. The thing is Pagano is also on a very very very short leash here too. This will almost have to be a playoff season or else so maybe the team plays very hard for him.

1788...guys with motor that fit the Colts....not all gems need to be 10 million dollars a year...we have only just begun...

Hopefully you guys are right. I don't understand why Grigs found the need to sign some of these guys on the first day. I'm pretty sure guys like Waldon and Sidbury would have still been around for a few days. I am starting to warm up to Cherilus, Toler and even Thomas but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around what we are paying for Waldon. But it is only the first day. We'll see what the rest of free agency brings.

I think we got two hungry young men in Sidbury and Walden....I predict a huge year from Walden...not necessarily a sack-master, but in terms of staying home. In other words, he will keep the runner inside and as Grigs says..."set the edge."

  11. Like I said...Ravens win. Now its time for the offseason and some Colts monster building fun!

My favorite play of the game was the late hit by Ngata on Kaepernick....I predicted that one. Suggs tried a couple of times but could not hit the pesky QB...

      Coltsman1788

Yeah Brent I recall that you did call that one. Gotta send the message and hit em often but it's not as easy in actuality as we saw. lol Overall, I thought Kaepernick played a solid game. However, Flacco just made the bigger plays and fewer mistakes.

      BrentMc11

I agree 1788...Kaepernick showed some real fortitude coming bac...just like his coach. Nothing against the 49ers, I just wanted the Zoe Read to get beat....quite frankly it almost won the game for them.

  12. Time for the Ravens to take care of business. Every body's pickin the Niners. Baltimore has gone through Luck, Peyton and Brady. What more do they have to do to get a little respect? Win the whole thing.

This is the Super Bowl, and while the Ravens are old.....the boys can hit. Pollard wants another 15 K penalty too....I am sorry for being mean here, but I agree 100% with Coltsman1788's "Gotta hit em when they have the ball and hit em even if they don't" MINUS the lol......LOL :)

Back in the leather helmet days, qb's were fair game. If the uniform color is different moving or not hit'um.

  13. Looking forward to watching the Pro Bowl now. Will be great to cheer for Luck & Peyton on the same team!!

Thanks Brent, it may be similar but yet totally different! lol!. Yes I have my tickets and I hope that @ $120 ea my tickets won't be wasted. I could go down to park and watch the hitting on Pop Warner football more than last years game. Thanks Coltsman1788 for the blog.

No problem. I think it's really cool that you will actually get to see the game in person 100GFB! I hope you enjoy the experience. Like BrentMc11 says, I hope the players take the actual game a bit more seriously. Should be fun regardless.

  14. I wish Bernard Pollard was a Colt! Dude is a Pats killa.

"The man hits...... " My main man Brent must have taught Pollack how to hit, wrap up, & tackle properly. :) Nice work Brent! You are obviously a great teacher & leader of men buddy!

  15. Remembering the great Earl Weaver who passed away yesterday. I will miss the "Earl of Baltimore". My favorite baseball manager of all-time. One of the reasons I fell in love with the Orioles as a youth. Also Stan "the Man" Musial passed away on the same day. Sad day for baseball..

      BrentMc11

Tough day for baseball fans, and fans of two great baseball legend. Feisty Earl......loved his style....Stan the Man...the most consistent hitter in baseball history. 1815 hits at home...1815 on the road...WOW!! Consistency defined!!
