An ugly half of football from our Colts. 0-20. Defense needs to somehow pitch a shutout in the second half and we need our offense to muster up 3 TD drives. Put in Minshew. lol

People pumped up AR too early. He still has a long way to go. For starters, I just want to see him start and finish his first complete game.

Too early to tell but probably a little of both. Pierce can't catch. Pittman can make a big play down field if given the opportunity. Downs gets open as you say. Isaiah McKensie is not consistent in my opinion...drops too many.

All of Richardson's big plays come from his legs. Yet to see him make a big play with his arm. His one TD pass was a short screen to Pittman who did most of the work to get into the end zone. Hopefully, we see more big plays passing from him soon. As I type this he hits Downs down the field. That is a start.

I'm not. He hasn't looked good in a long time. Looks like he is just out there right now. Hardly know he is even on the field.

Downs has much better games when Minshew is the QB. His target rate and utilization is higher.

Rams just picking up first downs at will. Colts secondary out there looking like they just chilling.

Franklin is the enforcer on this defense now. Took Leonard's role.

Feared this type of game from our Colts. Everyone thought AR return meant the offense would look better. Not so fast...he is still a rookie prone to rookie mistakes and learning moments. Minshew gives Colts best opportunity to win now...less flash but more consistency. But the Colts will continue to start Richardson for the future...as they should. We should just go easy on the playoff expectations that come with being most likely temporarily in 1st in the AFC South.

I like the pick. Prototypical Ballard build and traits. Dude is hands on and plays tight coverage. May get hit with many PI’s early in his NFL career until he pays his dues and refs learn & adapt to his aggressive coverage style. I like how he comes up and hits.

Or he was telling a truth about it being something HE valued but others also had a say and it wasn’t entirely just his decision…but a collaborative one. There were other qualities that he listed too and the Colts must have felt he checked enough boxes to make him their preferred option at 4. Obviously, the consensus saw enough there regarding his accuracy that they felt confident their coaching could correct. We will see if they were correct in that assessment.

Water finds its level. Levis is much more palpable as a second round pick for another team in my opinion.

AR has an elite trait his 4.4 speed. Don’t think he would last to the 2nd. Levis is dropping for a reason. He was overhyped from the jump. Or the Vikings.

I liked your post for the first half of it. Glad the Colts did not take Levis. Very relieved. Richardson will be a boom or bust project but I have confidence in Steichen’s ability to get the best out of him. We will need patience though. I wouldn’t necessarily call Steichen a liar. They call this the lying season for a reason. Everyone is doing their best to conceal their true intentions.

Steichen has his apprentice. Let’s go!

Even more important that Colts took matters in their own hands and lost today. Can’t count on anyone else. Good for them.
