  1. Dan Quinn can go ahead and sign the two year lease on the condo.
  2. They scored 40 against us in the 4th quarter last year, so who knows.
  3. If Dak comes back, it will be the 3rd largest comeback behind Frank and Andrew.
  4. I would try to bring Vrabel to Dallas.
  5. Put down the plastic sheets. It's January, time for the Cowboys to crap the bed.
  6. Yeah, Stroud is Peyton-like, and if he gets a few weapons, it could become video game like. When you're looking at the division, I'm not sure if it's better to try to keep up with the Texans offensively or if it's better to improve the defense. Richardson will probably never sit in the pocket, hit 3rd and 9s consistently and match scores with Stroud. We already got a taste of how that might go against Lawrence and Stafford. With Richardson, you need a different formula. I don't think you can win just by adding a few weapons while still having a bottom end defense.
  7. They got Mahomes' helmet at Dollar General.
  8. If the '95 fail mary were successful and Harper cuts it to the outside and scores in '05, those two plays would have gone down as the two greatest plays in NFL history, above the Immaculate Reception or whatever. That’s how small the difference is between being legendary and not.
  9. Absolutely not. If they get the first one early, like the Pats did with Brady, who knows what type of run they might go on.
  10. That's true, but Carolina made it clear they were open for business, and the deal would have been less than they paid the Bears.
  11. Colts fans(and Ballard) became too infatuated with the whole Hurts/Eagles thing and may regret it for the next 15 years. Throwing the ball from the pocket like Peyton did was no longer cool.
  12. I can't decide whether to hate Stroud as a rival or hate Ballard for not drafting him.
  13. We thought Nelson would make the list every year and cruise into the HOF.
  14. The Atlanta game was the worst. If you're a playoff team, you have to beat that team. They didn't even show up. They were bullied for four quarters. Surprisingly, I don't think Ballard was asked about or mentioned that game. The Atlanta game was a worse failure than the Raiders game from 2021. I would love to hear what Shane thought happened that day.
  15. From the local media, it was an hour long love fest about how you now have your QB of the future. Richardson showed some signs, but considering he only played a handful of games and was knocked out of most of them, that struck me as being a little strange. I guess I'm not feeling it like the local media is. Ballard: The backup QB position is important. Yes.
  16. That didn't sound too promising to me. "He's stable." Next question. I thought he might wish him a speedy recovery or something.
  17. If the family is asking for privacy, it must be pretty "severe." He must be very ill.
  18. I would have to disagree. I believe there were two questions. In Holder's question, he made the point that Gus wasn't Steichen's hire. Steichen countered, saying he was in San Diego with Gus for 4 years and has a lot of respect for him. Steichen was basically saying that Gus is my guy.
  19. It was the same thing both ways, really. We knew we had to stop Collins, and couldn't do it. They knew they had to stop Taylor, and he still went crazy. Collins had a long TD. Taylor had a long TD. In the end, we still should have won by a point.
  20. If Richardson were established and playing full seasons, I might think about finding a similar backup, but he's only played a handful of games himself. If Richardson comes back and gets hurt again, if he's Trey Lance, I would imagine, stylistically, they would go in a different direction, and it might be a new GM making that decision.
  21. They certainly got their 3 million out of him. If Richardson misses 4 games a year(good possibility), Minshew can keep you competitive for 4 games. That’s exactly what you want out of a backup.
  22. After what I saw in 2023, if Richardson averages 13 starts over the next 3 years, I would take it. If you're going to play this style with this QB, you need a backup who can give you 4 games a year. Minshew is not a starter, but he's that guy. He can keep you competitive in those 4 games. After seeing Richardson get knocked out of almost every game he played, I honestly think they need to keep swinging at some level at QB, but they probably won't.
