  1. Watt and the Houston defense haven't done anything this year.  Bad comparison, and too little data.  I love the H man, but he played the two worst teams on our schedule (TN with Mariota was better than both, but the injuries since has equaled them out).

JJ Watt is looking like the biggest busted big contract this year.  On par with Kaepernick except you HAVE to pay QB's that much, not a DL.  He couldn't deliver his team a winning record when he was playing at his peak, let alone playing average.

Whoa!! Did u just compare Watt to Kap? Huh? Performance wise that is crazy..and Kap is only making around 13 mill a year..it is essentially a year to year contract.. It is team friendly..so on both fronts you are off base my friend
  2. This week will be the biggest test for them yet.  Keep the penalties down, give Luck time, don't make Luck throw deep a lot, and don't hold on to the ball too long.  There's a lot of blame to go around.

And for goodness sake Andrew please throw the ball away when no one is open. I can't remember the last time I saw him throw it away.
  3. "our oline sucks" was the forum cliche comment 3-4 weeks ago. although their are a few around here who haven't caught up still pounding that drum

Not only was this forum throwing shade on them but the media as well. 4th most time to throw ? Wow ? looking at the lines across this league how many GM's would take that. Hopefully Chud can get Luck to change his style.

  4. The only thing that will change is everything important.  There is nothing wrong with the Colts playbook, there is nothing wrong with the Colts offensive personnel (not saying the personnel cannot be improved but the O is good enough to win several of the games they have lost) what has been the problem is when to call what play under which circumstances.  Pep has shown he was not able to develop an NFL gameplan, he was not able to track defensive trends and exploit them during the game and he was not able to call plays that would put the players in the best position to win their individual battles.

Adding to that no halftime adjustments.

  5. ...assuming Poop Hamilton was Grigson's hire...

I hope Irsay made it clear to Grigson that he is to stay completely out of coaching decisions on who plays and who sits...just get busy with who we are drafting and don't even think about trading a draft pick...think about how to acquire more picks.

Absolutely agree Grigson needs to focus on personnel let coaches coach..never heard of that nonsense
  6. I don't think taking away our struggling QBs favorite target is a good idea. Has nothing to do with being our fanbase being sentimental, he and Luck have a good rapport, and messing with that just seems silly. I'm not saying that taking away Hilton would be insurmountable, but, why mess with it? Next year's draft has a really deep amount of offensive line talent, so get Luck some protection, and build from there.

Exactly.. if you think luck is struggling now take away his go to reciever going on 4 years..crazy talk

  7. The current state of the Colts is looking rather depressing!  However, I do see more in them, than what they're currently showing.

MY BOLD prediction for the next upcoming games and the aftermath:

Colts show go into Carolina with the tenacity of their 2nd half self for THE WHOLE 60 minutes.  Upsetting the Panthers on the road, in convincing fashion.  Perhaps a 34-17 route or somewhat of a large margin!

Hosting the Broncos they squeak out a gritty (Chuck-ism) performance as Manning puts in a "Peyton-like Performance"!  A very emotional game that will continue to build confidence...

Then traveling to ATL, I believe provide another great outing that will confirm the Colts have gotten their mojo back.  Winning that football game by at least 10 points.

(I may be wrong on one of these predictions of the first 3 games and the Colts could very well lose 1 of them!)

These games will set the tone for the remainder of the season as the Colts only lose 1 game the rest of the season (Pittsburg) in yet another very frustrating game that people will question them!  However, they will win out to keep the roller coaster ride of the season still on it's tracks.  I do believe they will march into the playoffs with a full stream of confidence.  People will think the Colts actually have a shot, but yet some will still be skeptical and not convinced with their recent success.

I think they will be upset in the divisional round on the road by the Pats, Broncos or the Bengals, whoever they encounter first after they win in the WC round.

Setting the tone for fans to start finger pointing and calling for a reconstruction of staff, which will occur in the offseason.

Then the fans will be pleased by the moves in the offseason, giving us hope for next year!

More than likely I am far off, but just because we are down now, doesn't mean that's the rest of the season.  It is only half way through the season, and we can't go anywhere else but up from here.  They have strong willed and prideful individuals who can't settle with the abysmal performances we've seen thus far!  Particular speaking of AC, Andrew, Vontae, and Gore in the sense of his fumbling.

So, what is your bold prediction?

Appreciate your optimism and hope your right. I think we have a punchers chance vs Den and Atl..think Carolina is having a magical season and will handle us..bold prediction..we make playoffs at 7-9 and WIN are home playoff game vs the Jets

  8. If we keep playing like this we will lose the division.. Jags look better..titans held falcons to 10.. I love how everyone thinks its a fore gone conclusion we win this division with 9 games left.
