  1. That's fair, many think Houston is the best team in the South. I have never debated that, but the margin for error is close.
  2. You aren't getting my point; he is the one that said, "people will cling to anything to keep the fantasy that we're contenders alive". I just responded to it by saying who ever said we were contenders. You just said "Yes, Houston isn't a contender either". That is all I have been saying, so you understand that at least.
  3. That's a fair post. I mean they won the division so they should be favored but I still think between them, Jags, and us anyone could win it. Jags after 2022 looked like they were going to take the division easily in 2023. Football is a game of luck sometimes; it also comes to down to health as well. Right now, if I had to predict, I think we split with Houston and Jacks, and Houston and Jacks splits. I am hoping we can sweep the Titans because going 4-2 in the division could go a long way.
  4. Yeah, Ballard is the one who hired Shane, funny how overlooked the "stinky" GM is . No Ballard, no Shane.
  5. Name 1 person in here that says we are contenders. I haven't and we aren't but it is fact we almost won the division with a backup QB. By the way Houston isn't a contender either, they are not on KC's, Baltimore's, or Cincy's level when Burrow is healthy.
  6. @NFLfan, this what I think of this thread. He is a snorer though, not a barker
  7. Maybe we score, maybe we don't. Before the final play, ESPN had us projected winning at 77% though, I did see that because I was following it on ESPN. 77% is pretty high. I am assuming they assumed we would get a 4th and 1 then score from 12 yards out?? Point of it is, if Houston was so much better than us, why didn't blow us out with our backup in? 1st time we played them in Houston, AR was running all over them.
  8. Houston plays at KC, Baltimore, Buffalo, at Dallas, at Green Bay, Detroit, us twice and the Jags twice. 10 tough games right there alone.
  9. Also remember, Houston has a 1st place schedule now. Houston had a last place schedule last season. Did Houston win 10 games because of their weak schedule?
  10. Myles said he gave the Colts little chance of winning the division and Houston is on the rise. I was simply making a statement with my post towards him. To answer your question, I think division is up in the air. We have as good as chance as Houston or Jacks of winning the division. Everyone last year thought Jacks would win the division easily, they were on the rise with Trevor and look at what happened. Houston could do the same as Jacks, Stroud had an incredible year for a rookie, who's to say he does that again? Who's to say AR doesn't have a great year and we improve a game or 2. 10 wins will probably win the division + tiebreakers. 10 wins isn't a lot.
  11. I just have wishful thinking when I bring up Simmons. I give it about a 10% chance we land him, 90% we don't to be clear. That is who I would want though. That Money is a lot.
  12. I agree. I never heard of the Site until now. I could create a Site and call it Homer's grades and it would be just as legit as this website
  13. Not foolish at all. Foolish is having a guy like Sam as your primary backup. Flacco was needed with Minshew leaving. AR could play all 17 games but I am not sure he will.
  14. I give the Colts a better chance of winning the division than I do Houston beating KC or the Ravens in the playoffs.
  15. I see why he re-signed the guys he did, you can run it back and add 1 extra impact player which I have posted in here 5 times before today. I never once said we didn't more help in the Secondary and I gave a great reason why I am understanding what Ballard is doing with AR coming back. Pretty simple to understand really. You are twisting things now.
  16. I am amazed at how many people downplayed Minshew during the season, calling him a backup at best when I actually defended him. Now with AR coming back, some act like it won't be an improvement at QB. Interesting. If we can go 9-8 with Minshew, then with AR we should win 9 at worse, if not 10 or 11.
  17. If the offense is better, that takes pressure off of the defense, with AR the offense should be better + I never said we didn't more secondary help.
  18. I will agree, I am not happy we haven't got more secondary help. I want Simmons but having said that, I am sure Ballard thinks AR will be good which will make us relevant.
  19. Has anyone gave it 1 thought, that why Ballard wants to run it back is, we were 1 play away from winning the Division with a backup QB? Now we will have AR healthy, you would think AR would be an upgrade over Minshew at the most important position. I think he will be.
  20. Really nothing to be confused about. Doug, you along with many told me all season going 9-8 and even winning the division would be a waste of time because we aren't true contenders. When all I wanted to see was a successful season being relevant. Well, neither is the other 3 teams in our division. If Houston played KC, Cincy with a healthy Burrow, or the Ravens again, they would get beat pretty easily in the playoffs. So would Jacksonville.
