  1. I agree with you, I hate rooting for the Steelers, but it would be better for us if they won this week. I rooted for the Pats to beat the Steelers 2 weeks ago, it had to be done
  2. For the stats guys: Minshew = 2739 Yards 63.3 Comp % 14 TD's passing 3 TD's running 8 INT's 3 Fumbles lost 57.5 QBR which is 14th in the league. He is 6-4 as a starter as well. That is above average on any scale. Take away the name Minshew and put Levis name there, some in here would say Levis is having a great season and 6-4 on top of it.
  3. Exactly. Anyone that knows anything about football knows Minshew has played above average football and good in the 4th qtr of close games. He played evenly with Lamar Jackson who is arguably the MVP, outplayed QBs like Baker Mayfield, Bryce Young, Mac Jones, and Will Levis. He is obviously better than Mitch Trubisky as well.
  4. Yeah, all QBs make throws like the 1 Minshew made. Football is such a fast game and QBs have 2 or 3 seconds on many plays to make a play. Brady talking doo doo and he made many throws leaving Gronk and Edelman in danger. If you here Edelman talk, it sounds like he has been concussed a bunch. Almost sounds like Boxer that has been hit way too many times.
  5. We need him. He is our best offensive weapon. With him, we move from an above average team to a good team.
  6. There are actually some trying to blame Minshew for this. That is the most ridiculous, dumbest thing I think I have ever heard in my football days. Every game, QBs try to make plays, they are pressured and have to watch getting hit themselves. QBs make throws like this at least a few times a game. Tom Brady has even done it. This hit is 100% on Kazee. He made the hit.
  7. Yep. Back in the day when I hung around a lot of people watching games, they always wanted to see big hits. This is racing country here, and there are still many that want to see wrecks in Nascar. Like in Hockey, they want to see fights.
  8. Week 16 schedule, Thursday: Saints at Rams Saturday: Bengals at Steelers Bills at Chargers Sunday: Colts at Falcons Seahawks at Titans Lions at Vikings Commanders at Jets Packers at Panthers Browns at Texans Jags at Bucs Cards at Bears Cowboys at Dolphins Pats at Broncos Monday: Raiders at Chiefs Giants at Eagles Ravens at 49ers Merry Christmas everybody
  9. Leaderboard standings going into Week 16: 1. @2006Coltsbestever143-81 2. @chad72142-82 3. @Moe141-83 4. @EasyE140-84 5. @VikingsFanInChennai136-88 6. @w87r135-89 6. @Chrisaaron1023135-89 7. @RollerColt132-92 8. @coltsva127-97 Honorable Mention - @Solid84117-75 (missed 1st 2 weeks = 0-32). 117-107 overall. Totals: 224 games played. The top 4 is real close. Great competition. 3 weeks left, good luck folks.
  10. Sometimes switching works and sometimes it back fires. Your switch was actually a good one % wise, I had Philly as well. Philly just choked. Drew Lock of all people lol.
  11. I picked the Lions to go to the SB, so I have some interest in the NFC. I had them vs the Ravens in my before season picks. Regarding Love, he is the definition of inconsistent.
  12. This may be true but the chances of that happening, are like me hitting the lottery for 10 million dollars. Bengals still have to play at KC, no way they win that game. I also don't see the Bills beating the Dolphins either because of the game they had earlier in the season. Them sweeping the Dolphins is highly unlikely.
  13. Minshew has shown me a lot this season. I am a fan no doubt. I call him a backup and even have trouble with calling him a backup at this point. He has been an above average starter for us IMO. Nothing spectacular but he has found ways to win. I like QBs that are clutch and play good in 4th Qtrs and for the most part he has. If it's player, I would go Minshew.
  14. Yeah, with what he has done with not having Taylor most of the season and a backup QB is pretty amazing. His play calling is 2023 (in the now), not 1993ish as well. If he wasn't our head coach, we would not be 8-6. We have had a lot of injuries and have still managed to have a good/fun season.
  15. That would be ideal. Winning out won't be easy because all it takes is 1 bad game. In reality a 10-7 season should get anyone in, that is a good season, but the AFC is so deep who knows?
  16. Yeah, our games against the Jags were too close together. If we played them now, I would give us a 50% chance of beating them. We are playing better is why.
  17. Hey this is what makes football great when the team you root for is in a suspenseful playoff run with 3 games to go. It keeps everyone glued to the TV and thinking. Here is a Question, what would happen if You, Moe, EasyE, and I, all end in a tie in our picks thread - Sorry I had too . The suspense is fun.
  18. Wow, ok. We would still get in despite the Bengals having the head to head. Wild!
