  1. Actually, I am working all day on Christmas from 8am-6pm. I will make $50 an hour for almost doing nothing - that's double time baby! All the important games are Sunday, and I am off Sunday. I will go to moms on Christmas Eve/celebrate Christmas Sunday, eat and drink, and enjoy football all day. Then go in on Monday. Nobody wants to work Monday where I am at, so I took it. For $50 an hour hardly doing anything, anyone would be a fool to pass on that and I usually work nights. That is a $500 day - I don't go back in until Tuesday night so I still have part of Christmas off and can watch the Ravens at 49ers.
  2. Just Heard on the Bowen show, if the Colts win out, they are 100% in. If they lose Sunday but beat the Raiders and Texans they have a 94% chance of getting in. The Raiders and Texans games are vital.
  3. I don't know, even when the guy plays good, there a few in here that still pick him apart. When he loses he gets trashed, you know it and everybody knows it. What would one expect, that has been known as a backup his whole career when he does lose? The Andrew Luck comment was made because, when Minshew loses, it is brutal in here.
  4. Rivers had a long great career. He never won a SB, but he won several playoff games (beat Peyton in the playoffs). He also made an AFC title game. Fouts just like Rivers IMO. Fouts actually made 2 AFC title games. I think you like many are missing my point about Herbert. When it comes to Herbert, give me 1 thing that stands out? Name 1 big game he has won in the playoffs? You can't. One could say he has great talent but so do many QBs. See I hate these kinds of threads because now it looks like I hate Herbert. I don't, I think he is a top 10 QB but many think the guy can do wrong. Dak gets blamed for everything and he and Herbert are on the same level.
  5. I gave you a trophy here because I agree 100% with you about Burrow.
  6. Burrow came within 3 points of winning a SB, and he beat mahomes in KC in an AFC Championship. Jackson has won an MVP and has his team with the #1 seed in the AFC this season. Herbert is not better than either. It is not even debatable. Browning has had 1 great game at Jacks, 1 good game vs Indy, and 1 great Qtr last week. Minshew has accomplished more than Browning.
  7. The funny thing about that is, the same people that will bash him if he does lose Sunday, never even had us close to being 8-6 anyway. Minshew has actually overachieved already. The spoiled people in here that hate Minshew expect him to be Andrew Luck .
  8. I would say Herbert is Top 10. Top 5 is another way of over rating him. I am not a Herbert hater but nobody blames him for anything and they just say he is great. I can list 5 QBs that are better than Herbert easily: Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Jackson, Purdy, Hurts. That is 6. Herbert is like Dak Prescott Imo, good but not great. He puts up great numbers at times but against the very good or great teams, he usually puts up average numbers and the Chargers lose. Just like the Cowboys on the road, they can't beat anyone good and Dak folds.
  9. Last week screwed me up because I work on Saturday night. I worked all night Friday night and had things I had to do early on Saturday. Then we played at 430pm, so I got about 2 hours of sleep last Saturday. I couldn't really enjoy the game, couldn't drink anything, as I knew work was lurking. I love our Sunday games at 1pm, because normally I sleep all day Saturday, like 10 hours. That is so I can stay up until 7 or 8pm on Sunday and watch all the games, have some beer, and even have people over for a while. Saturday games are the worst for me.
  10. Getting back to the SB is real tough, that is why I picked the Lions before the season. It is looking like the 49ers are the team to beat as of now. I do think the Lions would beat Philly at Detroit in a playoff situation.
  11. We are going to have to create Turn Overs to win and I think we will. Their offense is bad at times. If Minshew doesn't Turn it Over, we should be fine.
  12. I am hoping Allen has that 1 off game. He has looked great lately. Even in the loss to Philly, he played great.
  13. @RollerColtif the Chargers win, I will be talking smack to you all week. (just joking). I would though. It would help us and Cincy.
  14. I think Lawrence is good, not great. Same for Herbert who got drafted 6th. Josh Allen is better than both IMO and he plays reckless sometimes. If I had to choose between Lawrence, Herbert, or Allen, I would take Allen.
  15. Falcons are favored by 1 per Sports Book Caesars. Keep in mind though, home teams usually get 3 points in the betting world. So, they really aren't favored.
  16. I agree to a point. I get where you are going with it as well because he went #1. When you compare him to Andrew Luck and Joe Burrow, he hasn't cut the mustard. So, I get it.
  17. I will admit, Staley was a bad coach but great QB's can overcome bad coaching to at least be relevant every season. Peyton didn't win a playoff game until season 5 but he also had a 13-3 season where we won the division in season 2 so we had an idea that Peyton was great. Herbert is a lovable guy so almost everyone makes excuses for him. You have to remember good and great are pretty big differences. I think Herbert is good but when a lot of people say he is great, they have nothing to base it on. If the Jags choke and Lawrence doesn't deliver a Division Title this season, then you have a point. If the Jags win their last 3 games and win the division, I would say in 3 seasons Lawrence has been pretty successful with a back-to-back Division Title and he has a playoff win. In his 1st season he had perhaps one of the worst NFL coaches of all-time. He was worse than Staley.
  18. Justin Herbert. 4 seasons now and highest paid QB in the league, never has won a playoff game. He is a good QB, but many say he is great. That defines overrated when most say a player is great and he isn't. Andrew Luck had 3 playoff wins in his 1st 3 seasons and won 11 games in those years with no run game and an average head coach. He was great.
  19. Interesting picks because I agree with almost all of them. I will be at least a tad different because if I don't, it will look like I am copying lol. I will role with Lions over Vikings, you have the Vikings. I will go with Jets, you have the Commanders - both teams are bad. So we have 2 different. My picks: Saints 17 Rams 25 Bengals 23 Steelers 17 Bills 34 Chargers 17 Colts 24 Falcons 17 Seahawks 23 Titans 20 Lions 24 Vikings 23 Commanders 10 Jets 13 Packers 23 Panthers 16 Browns 22 Texans 19 Jags 20 Bucs 24 Cards 16 Bears 17 Cowboys 23 Dolphins 30 Pats 16 Broncos 21 Raiders 20 Chiefs 27 Giants 19 Eagles 27 Ravens 24 49ers 27 I went with Browns because it looks like Stroud will be out. Browns aren't the Titans. I went with Bucs because it looks like the Jags are in disarray. It is also at Bucs and they are playing to win their division. I am picking the Ravens to win the SB but this week I have to take SF because they are at home. Then there is my Lions, prove me right Lions. I picked them to win the NFC at the beginning of the season. They should be able to win this game. Vikings are an above average team, nothing great.
  20. It was smart letting Gay kick that last FG because he had struggled. It was for his confidence. I can see Gay deciding a game in these last 3.
  21. The Raiders game is huge because Common Opponent is factored in. If we beat the Raiders we would get the tiebreaker if somehow both finish 10-7. They lost to Houston and the Raiders already.
