  1. If we beat Houston, we are in no matter what any other team does.
  2. We give up too many 3rd and longs, if we correct that, we will be a dangerous team. That and win the Turnover battle.
  3. I actually thought he was pretty good too. He didn't seem like a Colts hater to me. Rich Eisen was obvious.
  4. @NFLfan, if you can please pin this. I will be back on later to list the Week 18 schedule. Thanks, take care.
  5. It has been the worst I have ever seen, and I have been watching since the 1977 season. 1 way to fix it is, is have instant replay in just the final 2 minutes of games on PI's or defensive holding calls - whether it is a penalty or isn't. Just the last 2 minutes so it will not slow the game down any. In the Lions case, I have know idea how to fix that, the REF seemed to hear what he wanted, and his earlobes closed after that .
  6. I usually hate Saturday games because I go into work at midnight on Saturday and sleep all day on Saturday after getting off at 8am. With this being at 815pm I can live with it though. The Pitt game screwed me up with that 430pm start! I will just sleep all day after working all night Friday night and get up around 7pm and load up on my Starbucks Coffee before gametime. I can't drink anything because of work but I will still be able to watch the game before I head in at 12(midnight) with a caffeine blast .
  7. Here it is folks. The final week of picking in a long fun season. Leaderboard standings through Week 17 = 256 games picked/played 1. @2006Coltsbestever164-92 2. @Moe162-94 (2 back) 2. @EasyE162-94 (2 back) 3. @chad72160-96 (4 back) 4. @VikingsFanInChennai158-98 (6 back) 5. @w87r157-99 (7 back) 6. @Chrisaaron1023156-100 (8 back) 7. @RollerColt149-107 (15 back) 7. @coltsva149-107 (15 back) Honorable Mention: @Solid84136-88 (0-32 because he missed the 1st 2 weeks) = 136-120. It has been fun, competitive, love the ongoing strategy by everyone in here - it is fun to me and when I trash talk, I am just playing around with you guys, and this thread takes away from the negativity on the site. Great picking by the people in here all year. Good luck everyone. I am just glad to be friends with you guys that are on this thread. Great and fun stuff.
  8. For him it doesn't, sad really. I have to be honest, been a fan since 1984 and this season ranks way up there as one of my favorites. 1. 2006 = because we won the SB and beat the best = Tom and BB to get to the SB. Peyton sealed his legacy with the comeback win vs the Pats. Then he closed by beating the Bears where many fans here in Indy are Bears fans. 2. 1995 = because nobody expected us to do anything that season, and we went to the AFC Title Game as a WildCard with Harbaugh. The win at KC in the Divisional Round (1995) was priceless. 3. 2012 = went from 2-14 to 11-5 and a Playoff appearance with Andrew Luck and his comebacks. Made the playoffs and not 1 person on ESPN and NFL Network had us winning more than 5 games before the season. 4. This season (2023) is in the running because, CBS Sports radio, ESPN, NFL Network, our local media, and most of the posters in here had us winning 3 or 4 games before the season. Here we are 9-7, blood and guts in with the best of them. How anyone can't enjoy that, they live a sad life, JMO. Our before season odds of making the playoffs this season were like 5%. Some outlets had us rated at #32 = worst team in team in the league.
  9. Packers are rolling tonight, if that stands. It will look this through 17 weeks: 1. @2006Coltsbestever164-92 2. @Moe162-94 2. @EasyE162-94 3. @chad72160-96 I am pretty sure that would be correct. I will do the rest tomorrow. Chad you would only be 4 behind.
  10. I screwed up but I have you at 159-96 which is 5 behind, you were 150-90 entering this week - let me know if that is correct, not 97. I am 164-91. Not sure why I put in 97 lol.
  11. I am thinking both teams will be healthy (we don't have AR is the main exception). Moss should be good to go next week I would think, and I didn't see anyone injured today. Moore should be back too.
  12. Wow what a joke. If I am Bryce Young I would want out of there. He has no chance there with that crappy franchise.
  13. So far regarding @chad72, @EasyE, and @Moe it looks like this: 1. @2006Coltsbestever164-91, 10-5 this week. 2. @Moe161-94, 11-4 this week. 2. @EasyE161-94, 11-4 this week. 3. @chad72159-97, 9-6 this week. I will do the rest tomorrow. I have Vikings tonight, you guys all have Packers.
  14. I always try and bait @Chrisaaron1023into taking the Colts, he never falls for it . I would actually be helping him
  15. Not really. In a cold weather game if Taylor and Moss are healthy, running the ball is key. Also the Bills barely beat the Chargers and Pats. They are real beatable. Remember a team like the Dolphins has a putrid defense at times too, and we already beat Baltimore at Baltimore, KC even looks mortal. There is not 1 team I don't think we can beat on any given Sunday this year. It isn't like years past, where you had a loaded Pats team with Tom or a team like the Chiefs had in 2019 years ago with Hill when they won it, or even what we had with Peyton.
  16. There is clarity now after 17 weeks. 1 of the 3 things can happen now. We win we are in, we lose we are out. The 3rd thing is gravy, we win and the Jags lose, we win the South.
  17. You worried for nothing. My 2 locks of the week were us beating the Raiders and the Chiefs winning. Someday you will learn that this old man is right sometimes, that is all we needed this week to control our own destiny. Happy New Year Chloe and to everyone. What a fun season. It boils down to next week, just the way I wanted it. It will be a fun week talking about our game vs Houston.
