I could be wrong on this, but it seemed to me that Sanchez had better hang time on his kick offs.  That would be an advantage if they are trying to kick it near the goal line.

and been punting about 10 more yards!!

  2. IMO, Gore still has value to the team. He can still get the tough yards and is good in pass protection and if his guaranteed money is already paid, what would we gain by cutting him ? I have read many quotes from Mack that he learns a lot from Gore, there are some things that a vet can teach that a coach cant. I say we use Gore and Turbin to wear down the defense then use Mack to get the big play.

Applies to Jaguars too, if Denard Robinson isn't re-signed. And Titans if Daimion Stafford isn't re-signed.

Don't think Oakland, Buffalo, Miami and Cleveland have anyone left either (depending if some depth/special teamers aren't re-signed).

I'd think that's a record, 4 years after the draft. We at least didn't have our 2nd as we traded it for Vontae who we still have.

    Add Denver to that list.

Yeah that is the key, with my first 2 picks I am drafting Pass Rush with either Barnett or Takk in Round 1 and in Round 2 if someone like Lawson is there I would take him for example. We also may pick up a Pass Rusher in Free Agency as well? Not sure. If we take Takk at 15, he wont be healthy until October as far as Football shape but that is fine IMO.

I am a big Charles Harris fan, I would also be fine with one of the top corners.

The Colts with improvement on Defense could easily go 10-6 or 11-5. Look at how many close games we lost this past season. Houston beat us by 3 and 5, Jags beat us by 3, Lions best us by 2. If our Defense was even Average we win all of those games IMO.

I agree, but the same could be said with our wins !! I think if we even have somewhat of a better pass rush we can beat anyone !!

Correct. So that means all we have to do to keep him is offer him a minimum qualifying offer?

    Exclusive-rights free agents

Exclusive-rights free agents (ERFAs) are players with two or fewer seasons of service time and whose contracts have expired. If their team tenders a qualifying offer (a one-year contract usually at league-minimum salary) the player has no negotiating rights with other teams, and must either sign the tender with the team or sit out the season.

Tough to say honestly. Ballard doesn't have ties to either player, so we really have no idea what his approach will be. Doyle seems to be the most reliable out of the group, so if Ballard sees him in that same light, I'd think that he'd likely want to keep him around, but who knows.

Ideally I'd say sign him to a decent deal, nothing too crazy, and maybe try to get Allen to re-structure. Swoope's playing for peanuts, so really nothing to worry about there until next offseason.

I think Swoope is a ERFA this year.
