  1. Who will be replaced to activate LB?

I thought this might have been a reason for the departure of Lefeged.

My guess is that they put Bradshaw on IR to clear the roster spot.
  2. If he continues this type of play through much of December, I will not be surprised if the management extends him for 3 years.

I think it would be great to lock him up for a few more years !! A backfield with Bradshaw,Ballard and TRich would be awesome !!
  3. One last thought.....

Remember,  that while everyone has been to the Colts' team facility,  only the veterans have been out to training camp at Anderson.

So,  the Rookies and 1st year guys have to get acclimated with the new place.    I realize that might not seem like much,  these are grown me and they're bright and all...   but even those guys can get lost,  get turned around,  get confused during the first few days...

You're trying to break them in as gently as possible....    because once the Big Boys show up and the pads go on,  then we're playing for keeps!

I don't remember where I read it but although the rookies report on the 23rd it is in Indy not Anderson, will try to find the link !!
  4. Hernandez was an All American caliber TE in college and an All Pro caliber TE in the Pro's.

Of course TT would likely not equal his output.   But then again I would never sell that dude short on effort.

If anyone could do it . ...   it will be him.   If NE does it I guarantee Tebow will be productive and an asset.

looks like they are kicking the tires on Dallas Clark. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2013/6/23/4457456/nfl-news-vontae-leach-dallas-clark
  5. 6'9 400+lbs offensive lineman?? and its all muscle?? why the heck wouldnt we sign him?? even as a NT?? our luck houston, Tenn or Jax will sign him and he will be come pro bowler every year. * sarcasm *

but on the other hand.... oh well, who needs it, we need more RB's, and WR's anyway  * sarcasm *

Let's let him run the ball on goal line situations !!!
  6. Our LBs outside Freeman, Mathis, Walden, Werner were Harvey, Fokou, Angerer and Conner, several of whom may not be with the team next year. Instead of trying to fit Hughes in, they made the wise move of getting another LB for him better on the run D front.

It seems like we are selling out on the run D front across the front 7 BIG TIME.

    I like his numbers: http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/13995/kelvin-sheppard

    Fokou is with the titains.
  7. thank you, some people here think they know who will be a great player and who will be a bad player, while in reality they have no clue, lets wait to actually let our draft picks play! Before we say who is a good and bad pick smh

Well said !! and to quote Jim Mora..."You think you know, but you don't know"
  8. Draft

    1. Jarvis Jones- OLB Georgia

An absolute steal at 24. Slow 40 (4.9) drops him, but he plays like he runs a 4.5. Great pass rusher, and just flat makes plays. Experience at OLB already.

    3. Barrett Jones- OL Alabama

Starter at C or OG, can play at tackle in a pinch. Proven starter at every OL position in a power scheme. A great steal.

    4. Logan Ryan- CB Rutgers

One of the best man cover corners in the draft. Lacks great speed or size, but impeccable cover skills. Rutgers put him on an island all yet and he played very well. Was seen as possible first rounder until disappointing combine.

    6. Marcus Lattimore- RB South Carolina

Another steal. We can stash him away until he heals. Superstar potential. We all know about him.

    7. Marquess Wilson- WR Washington State

The pattern of fallen talents continues. Fringe first rounder at one point. Lacks great speed, but very physical. Sleeper prospect with great potential.

    7. Bradley McDougald- FS Kansas

The best player on Kansas last year, according to the Kansas coaches. Came to Kansas because he wanted to play WR as well, has big and soft hands. Has return ability as well. His little brother lost his leg to cancer, and Bradley has decided to carry both of their dreams on his shoulders. Motivated and driven, starter potential.

I would be very pleased if this was to happen. I think this draft is just as if not more important than last years draft. If you take a look at our 2014 Free agents you will see that this mock would be a great fit for potential free agent loss's. I also think that there will be a good amount of undrafted players that could also have an impact.
  9. The Safety class is pretty deep this year in my opinion, you could draft a Safety in the 6th round or 7th and come away with a very good one who could develop into a very solid starter if we parted with Bethea soon (Which I have my doubts we do)

1.Robert Lester(4th round potential option, we pick at bottom of the 4th)

    2.Jordan Kovacs(4th round potential option)

3.Brandan Bishop(extremely underrated in my opinion, 7th round to undrafted)

4.Ray Ray Armstrong (could go higher depending on teams view his growth in maturity or lack of it)

    5.Bradley Mcdougald(4th round potential option)

    6.Cooper Taylor(7th round potential option)

7.Duke Williams (4th round potential option)

8.Baccari Rambo(4th round potential option and in my opinion would be an absolute steal if he fell to us here)

    Just my opinion

Also, Rhodes in the 1st or Tharold Simon at bottom of 3rd or DJ Hayden at bottom of the 3rd would be good in my book or Sheldon Price at bottom of 4th

I agree, No need to use our first pick on a safety, Bethea himself was a 6th round pick. We still have Lefeged and Larry Asante under contract, I think Asante might be another cast away/under the radar gem that Grigson has found. But, If the BPA at #24 happens to be a safety, I wouldn't be upset with it but I doubt that will happen.
  10. I have heard many people talk about how bad of a signing Erik Walden was, but I think he is an upgrade over Freeney, I am strictly talking 3-4 scheme, not the 4-3, lets look at the stats

Dwight Freeney- 14 tackles, 5.0 sacks, 1 FF, 0 INT

Erik Walden- 46 tackles, 3.0 sacks, 0 FF, 2 INT

so, the main thing, actually the only thing Freeney does is get pressure on the QB, and last year in our new 3-4 scheme, he was not doing it, Walden may not be a huge pressure guy, but he can stop the run unlike Freeney, and we don't lose a whole lot in pressuring the QB, so is Walden considered an upgrade over Freeney in the 3-4?

From what I read so far,I think Walden will be playing the other side.Mathis is supposed to take over Freeney's spot.Who knows until camp is over !!
