Nate Coach of the Year baby! Oladipo was soo impressive today. Turner came up huge too. If we get Game 2 get the brooms out!

He won't get coach of the year but he will be in the group.

Top seeds own these awards. Toronto, Houston and an outside shot of Stevens for coach of the year.

These awards are dumb tho, Stevens said he doesn't even want it.

I hate to admit it, but Casey deserves it.

Oh yeah, If you scroll up I had us in 7. I was bashing the dumb butts in the media that was saying sweep too haha. ESPN should be a fun riot to watch tomorrow.

This media talk stuff is annoying. Who has time to care about that crap? Just enjoy the games and entertainment. It's just for fun. The media is meaningless to me, they trash Boston too with the injuries.

If the Pacers do lose, I would love to see a Raptors vs Rockets Finals. It isn't a ratings buster lmao but it would be something different and a good series IMO. ESPN people are cringing at me now haha. I think outside of people that live in Ohio and LeBron diehard fans, watching him in the Finals 7 years in a row is getting a bit old. The Warriors going again is wearing thin too, we will see how everything shapes up.

I won't be able to watch the finals this year outside of bits and pieces. Same with the conference finals. Wedding/honeymoon during that time. I might get to see some of it but not a ton like in the past.

Just watching a bit of the first two rounds and so far it's really been interesting from what I have seen.

Lets say Cavs make it to the Finals. Do you think they could beat the Cavs without Curry?

Nope, I don't believe there is a real contender in the east this year. There is a bunch of decent eastern teams and one all time great (Lebron).

I think the Warriors will still win it all over Lebron sadly. If Curry is healthy (I believe he comes back) then Warriors are going to be too tough.

If Curry gets hurt again or one of the Warriors top dogs then maybe things change.

But I thought the only real contender this year in the east was a healthy Boston team with Hayward/Irving. But even then I think you have to throw in a Leonard type of player in Boston to make them have a real shot to win it all. Unless Brown or Tatum became a super star. Spurs would be very interested IMO in the C's young guys.

But I don't think Lebron is enough. Lebron+Kyrie wasn't enough last year.......

I am not sold on Houston yet unless they prove me wrong.

But if Curry stays healthy it's done.

    ^^^Cavs playoff stuff....

BTW can't watch any games tomorrow, booooo. I am going to the Bruins playoffs with my fiance and a buddy of his.

Sixers/Heat has me most intrigued though. Heat ended the Celtics 16 game win streak early in the year and now they have a chance to do it with the Sixers. C's streak was more impressive anyway, they had beaten a healthy Warriors team during it and various playoff teams.

I will be around a bit Sunday but man oh man I won't get my hopes up on anything this year in the NBA. Since when I do, a player gets hurt. lmao I am best off just letting it all fall the way it is meant to fall this year.....not much we can all do at this point.

  6. Not sure, if the Bucks won game 1 and then the C's regrouped for game 2, I would call the series far from over.

I think that depends also on who the opponent is. If it's the Bucks yeah, whatever. If it's Lebron or the Warriors, yeah it's important early on to try to steal wins.

Blah, I miss my all star studs in green.......come back......come back healthy you lovely men. lmao

I saw some video recently of Gordon Hayward jogging. He looks bigger though in his upper body now.

On a side note, as soon as Hayward got hurt I read Paul George contacted Gordon and they were in constant contact for months. PG really gave tons of advice to Hayward and I am happy to hear that.

Sadly all I hear about now is the damn Red Sox.:violin:My soon to be husband was running around like a 5 year old when they beat up the Yankees last week.

  7. Philly has been pretty impressive lately but so did Boston early in the season. Sometimes young guys can get hot but then when they get cold they get COLD. I think Ben Simmons has potential to be an amazing player, but he has a lot of work to do with his jump shot. This Philly team lacks experience in the playoffs, going to be interesting.

Embiid will be back eventually this series but I am curious if the refs give heavy calls to help out the Sixers or not.  Miami can and might win this series though if they can get them in one of the first two games.

Really though this east crap is so hard to call........I would never bet money on this. If Boston had not turned into a hospital team I would have picked Boston.

In the west, if Curry comes back and it sounds like he will, I still like the Warriors. Rockets are like the Raptors, prove it or shut up.

Just good luck guys, playing Lebron is scary, but the Pacers just have to do the best they can. I will admit, if the Cavs did lose this series it's one of the biggest upsets I have seen to have Lebron lose in a round 1.

I fear though the Pacers get screwed.

  8. The east is just a mess.

Philly is a team I can't figure out too. They have this 16 game win streak just like Boston did early in the year. Often when a team wins that many in a row, I think a loss is coming.

I think the league loves Philly too and I even seen predictions of Philly to the finals. I think they are too young though.

I don't think Miami will go down easy and they might shock us. Thats a hard working defensive team.......

Raptors are the ones who have the most to lose this postseason. Getting the Wizards is just bad though. If Wall/Beal show up they can give the Raptors some hell. The Wizards are a hell-ish 8th seed.......I don't even think the Wizards at times were trying lately.

I used to think Washington was tanking to play the Celtics since Irving is out and Smart is out until the next round if the C's make it that far. Then rumor was they were trying to get Toronto. WTH? It's as if nobody respects the Raptors. lmao

Regarding the Celtics, next season if they stay healthy they will be the team to beat IMO. Brad won 55 games this season. Add Kyrie and Hayward to that team and that is lethal. They play better Defense than the lazy Bucks and are much better Coached. Bucks have Greek Freak but he wont be enough IMO. The RedSox do look Great so far lmao, cant deny that. Pacers have to get Game 1 vs LeBron, if they don't then the % of beating them is small. When LeBron loses Game 1 of any series, he normally loses but he rarely does lose Game 1. Have to put pressure on him.

Oh yeah I do admit the Red Sox look killer early on lol. I am a bit concerned Giannis will get all the calls too like you are worried about Lebron. All Giannis does is travel anyway on the court.

Hoping Terry Rozier can channel some playoff Irving. It will be tough, he's young. Terry though worships Irving and really studied him all season.

The guy who I think will suprise is Jaylen Brown, he shows up at times in big games. C's just need to play lethal defense and hope the calls don't go against them and that they can score enough.

If the Celtics can crack 100 this past month, often they win.

BTW Lance Stephenson can't get too nuts on Lebron in Cleveland early on or the refs will turn on you guys.

It's really tough to say, any series vs. Lebron and especially early on is tough to call. I mean, who IS this Cavs team? Most Cavs fans have zero worries due to Lebron.

Hearing Tristan Thompson is not part of the playoff rotation as of now, maybe for his off the court crap too. But he has been slowly distanced from the team and I admit, they are better without him.

Nice seeing you again, how ya been? I pick Boston to beat the Bucks. Bucks just don't impress me. Pacers/Cavs will be interesting, I hate drawing LeBron in Round 1 though. Watch out for the Thunder in the West.

I been great. But I am hearing more about the damn Red Sox now with my almost husband. lmao

    How you been?

I think Bucks/Celtics is such a weird series. A few weeks ago Boston lost by 4 to them on the road without Rozier or ANY real PG for that matter. It was just Stevens throwing all his tall guys at the Bucks in rotations.

I am hearing Boston hopes so much to get this one series and stuff. The guys left still have tons of pride in them. But someone will have to get hot again; Rozier, Brown, Morris etc.....

You all seem to get Lebron a lot. I will just say this, the Cavs as usual are really really confusing. Lebron is a monster this year when he tries. But the rest of the team outside of Love is kinda odd.....

Also I fear Lebron is on a mission to try and prove he can do this without Irving. I am almost glad Irving is out this year with the knee since I was almost afraid if we get Boston/Cleveland that it would get rough.

Stopping playoff Lebron is really tough though. I know Raptors fans talk about this constantly on social media too I have heard. How do you "limit" him?

I just remember Paul Pierce once saying the best way to stop Lebron is to let him shoot all those jumpers and avoid going to the basket. Problem is, Lebron shoots better now then 10 years ago.

Some of those role players around on the Cavs are no joke though if they get hot.

I will say this, if the Pacers DO have one big big advantage it's being a hard working never quit team. You have to constantly be engaged in a series vs. Lebron and prove to him in the first two games there is no quit and you will keep going until it's over. Lebron teams TRY to make you quit in the first half.

  11. Hey guys, wanted to pop in and say hi. I been super busy but it's been worth it. I will pop in from time to time with these games for the first few rounds.

I am really ticked off Lebron did what I thought he would do which was avoid Miami in round 1. He hates to play his ghosts of the past and he is 0-8 in Miami since leaving there. It is what it is though. I really wish Lebron would have went harder for the 3 seed.

I drifted off from some NBA but still try to support the C's a bit for my fiance (life long Celtics fan).

The Irving thing was just sad, was just like any shot at going to the finals vanished. But to be real, without Hayward they were not a real contender this year. It was a development year.

I am sort of glad now they shut down Kyrie for the year, he wanted to play and push through it all but they found out he had an infection around the screws in his knee so they had to shut it all down and remove the hardware. His knee is 100% healed.......from the knee break in 2015. But all that hardware was recently removed and it's a rehab process until training camp now.  You can't mess with an infection and they caught it in time.

Since Irving is still young, I think Boston did the right thing. Word is IT pushed through his hip thing last year and it has cost him bad. They wanted to fix Kyrie now so he and Hayward can be on the same track.

As for Leonard, yeah this is true. C's insiders have said Boston has already been in contact with the Spurs but nobody knows what is going on with Leonard and if he will even be available.

Some speculate the C's are trying and hoping to showcase their young guys too for a potential trade; Brown, Tatum, Rozier etc. Since Irving has been out, Rozier has been hot and cold but I think they might keep him since he is under contract for another year. And Tatum/Brown are no joke.

Not sure I buy all these rumors yet though.

Round 1 will be interesting. If Boston got any break at all it's their bracket. Avoiding Washington (a death sentence with Beal/Wall with no Irving/Smart) and Lebron if they beat the Bucks is the best they could have hoped for.

This postseason btw sets up horribly for the Raptors too.....they got the tough bracket.

Wishing the best of luck for the Pacers but if it don't happen don't feel bad, Victor is still young and new at being the man and it's just a tough load with Lebron in the conference.

I don't know what to expect from the Bucks too but the C's have the obvious coaching advantage and will have to just rotate defensive schemes with all their guys at the Greek Freak.

Boston is still the #1 D, but the scoring can go into hiding at times lol.
