Going to Colts/Pats with my husband next month. LOL should I cover my eyes during the game or can an upset happen? Luck looks fine IMO, but Brady is some sort of freak ageless wonder that even makes Lebron James jealous.

Yeah I try to hide he is a Boston sports fan here but I think the cat is out of the bag. Â My husband is from Worcester, MA. He's one of the nice ones though and actually likes Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck.
Â
I had told some people a while ago here too I live in New England. We moved here when I was a very young. I was born and raised in Indy though.
Â
Only team I kept with me from moving was the Colts and I will never give up the Colts. He knows this. Â I kinda like the Pacers but never got hard into them. I only kept the Colts as my childhood team. I have not been to Indy since 2007.
Â
But with the Patriots, I think it's more like his third team or something. He is more into the Red Sox and Celtics.
Â
I adopted the Celtics with him last summer and it was real easy. I always was into Brad Stevens going back to his Butler days. We kinda do the Celtics thing together hardcore.
Â
The first picture he ever saw of me btw was me with a Colts scarf around my neck. It was a pic of me and my cousin Erin. Erin's husband Rich showed Mark (my husband) me and said "You should meet Erin's cousin."
-
Your husband sounds pretty cool Jules. Did he just say he likes Peyton Manning & Andrew Luck as part of the courtship phase of your relationship though? No guy is completely honest in that phase as we tend to do a number of things to impress our partner or win brownie points vs truly believe what we say at that juncture.
Â
It's fine. I'm not here to make waves. If he makes you happy, nothing else matters in the grand scheme of things. Enjoy the game regardless of the final score. I hope you have good seats.

I changed my mind, giving the C's a shot now in the east. They made the Cavs look old as dirt tonight and Kyrie didn't even have a good game and spent most of the night deferring. Â
Â
The IT angle will still be there but I am confident Stevens knows how to shut him down IF Isaiah can make it through the eastern playoffs healthy. I am amazed, holding the Cavs/Warriors to both 88 points this year is pretty difficult to do. And the Celtics missed a lot of shots tonight too.
Â
Cavs are still easily the favorites but if somehow the C's can get Hayward back in some role by years end.......well then it gets real.

To be fair I did expect the C's to win tonight since they had a rest and the Cavs were on a back to back. But I didn't think it would be so easy.......
Â
I am SHOCKED Boston won so easily without Kyrie having a good shooting night. But for all those who said he was A BALL HOG. He isn't. His shots were not going in tonight so instead of forcing it he got everyone else involved. He didn't try to play hero ball vs. Cleveland when they were covering him so much in this game.
-
Hope Kevin Love will be okay, he hurt his ankle. He gets hurt way too many times in Boston. But he was not playing well before the injury either, Horford was owning him. Big Love fan but he can be fragile.
Â
Feel bad for IT too since he seems to genuinely still love Boston and the people. Sigh........he was even smiling when it was over.

Want to wish the forum a very Merry Christmas. I won't be on the forums active until Christmas is over next week since I have relatives coming out who will be keeping my hands full this weekend starting soon lol. Some of them are cool, but some are a load to handle lol.
Between work, my family and my boyfriend (soon to be fiance, rumor is *winks* )Â I have my hands full this long weekend!!!
Â
Have a great Christmas and holiday weekend everyone!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, was checking in before I went to bed. Merry Christmas to you guys as well and have a wonderful weekend!!!!Â
Â
The Colts might be in a rough year but we still got each other and bright times are ahead again for next year, count on it.
Â
QuoteLakers just ended the Rockets 14 game winning streak at Houston. Kuzma had 38 Points. Lonzo 16 Points, 9 Rebounds, 4 Assists. Merry Christmas Jules!
Â
And there you have it!!!!! Finally the Lakers got "the win" they needed and I been waiting for. Just in time too. Lonzo gets an extra present in his stocking now. Â
Merry Christmas Lakers Nation and Kobe .Â

9 wins in a row now for the Celtics. This one dedicated to this guy who closed the deal in a tough game. His best game yet as a Celtic.
Â
Â
Â
Those feisty Hawks. Not sure what it is? They always give a tough game. But the elite defensive streak ended a tiny bit tonight.
Â
Test for 10 wins in a row comes Wednesday night in Boston hosting the Lakers!!!!

I still like the Lakers a bit on the side, but it was more of a Kobe Bryant thing with me who is my all time favorite NBA player.
Â
I think with the NBA it's often a "players league" and I am not ashamed to admit I bandwagon a lot. I just have a lot of fun with a few teams.
Â
I also been a fan of Brad Stevens for a long time going back to his Butler days. LOVE me some Brad Stevens.
Â
As for the game this week, Celtics got a day off and then the Lakers go to Boston. Should be a big one Wednesday. Lakers have been up and down and are quite young. But they have showed up a few times this year on the big stage. Lonzo Ball isn't scoring a lot at times but he is an excellent passer out there. Lopez and Ingram will be tough to guard.
-
It's funny too with Kyrie Irving that he is still only 25. It's actually kinda amazing that he has been through so much already at this age in the NBA.
Â
Celtics are a pretty young team too outside of a few vets but not as young as the baby Lakers LOL.
Â
I also used to hear a ton about how Kyrie was this gigantic ball hog but I am not seeing this with the Celtics this year. Kyrie has his moments where yes they want him to get the ball and especially late in games. But I swear Isaiah Thomas was more of a hero ball kinda guy with the Celtics even more so over what I seen from Kyrie so far.
Â
Kyrie seems to really be sold on the Brad Stevens system way of doing things so far. In Cleveland I swear at times there is no real system. They just kinda every week stand around with their mouths open at Lebron James. So when Kyrie had a losing record in Cleveland without Lebron I thought too much was made of this.Â

Just on for a few minutes but I wanted to say I caught the mouse!!!!!!! Little jerk waited till I went to bed and then climbed into a trap for that delicious peanut butter and died. I heard the snap sound from a few rooms away. So it's over and done with. The pesky domestic terrorist that was in my home is now obsolete and his remains lie in the trash outside.
Â
Life can now continue as normal now for everyone again, so carry on.......
Â
I NEED a cat who does mice so bad.Â

Â
Peanut butter traps definitely work! I've used them before, put them on the glue traps and they'll get stuck on them. I never tried a snapping mouse trap, always afraid that I would accidentally injure myself with it.Â
Â
My old cat Spot would've killed it for you.  But at the cost of a very gruesome scene that could be disgusting to clean up.Â
Â
Male cats raised around other cats rarely ever become hunter/killer types, but the females do. Hate to say it, but most male cats literally are useless for situations like that (unless it's a male cat like Spot who was raised around dogs and thought he was one of them).Female cats tend to be more effective at killing stuff for some reason.Â
-
I don't use glue traps.
Â
I use the old fashioned types that snap shut (and yes it takes practice with those since they can snap so fast) or the new kinds that they walk in and it spins shut and I think it smashes their heads that way inside and then you never see it dead but then it says "caught" on it.
Â
-
I ordered both. I may need something to cheer me up when I get them later this week....
-
Red Sox smashing up the Yankees=extremely happy husband.Â
-
Believe. Go Colts!!!

Realized I have the same wedding date as the royals on the 19th. I don't pay attention them anymore, but some have told me this. Mine will be better. ;) Really have not watched or did much sports lately, sorry everyone. But I paid attention to who we drafted and score watch at times in basketball/baseball.
-
14 wins in a row for the Celtics. Huge huge win tonight over the Golden State Warriors. AMAZING. Stunning really.Â
Â
-
Warriors never get a good rep for D but they play nasty D when they try.Â
Â
Boston will be lethal if they can get more offense going but it's really not their thing this year, it's all defense and a few clutch plays in the 4th.
Â
This game was GORGEOUS for fans of defense. Shooting was off though outside of KD and Jaylen Brown for most of the game.
-
I really enjoyed seeing Wonder Woman. I didn't have high expectations but it knocked my socks off. I really liked this new actress they chose too, she is stunning. Also I didn't know heading into it that this film would have such heavy WWI elements with a background story but I thought it was great. I am not a super action hero expert or junkie either so as a casual fan I loved the film!
-
I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet, but it does seem to have bridged that gap between widespread audience support in droves & critical acclaim by professional film reviewers. I'll see it eventually, but I gotta see War For The Planet Of The Apes first. I have a profound appreciation for actor Andy Serkis ever since his landmark portrayal of Gollum in the LOTR trilogy & now his moving depiction of the Primate Caesar.Â
Â
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that both Jules & Bogie enjoyed Wonder Woman. You 2 have a knack for knowing quality material over over bloated trash so, I trust your judgement in the long run.Â
-
Happy Birthday to Bogie!!!Â
Â
Â
-
Win or lose I can't pick on Andrew Luck. I hope he gets support from fans.

"Her name is Aphrodite and she rides a crimson shell, and you know you cannot leave her for you touched the distant sands. With tales of Brave Ulysses, how his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing."
-
Major bummer man. I'm depressed now. Gotta jam out to some Cream tunes this weekend now. Quality bassists never get enough respect IMO. Right Cs4?

I can't even believe preseason is here. Where did the summer go? It's going too fast! Just stay healthy Colts this time of year....
-
I really don't wanna see cold temperatures & snow quite yet given the winter I just endured this past year, but with September comes Colts football so as far as trade offs go, SW1 will take it. Please Bradshaw stay healthy & be productive for us this season. Knocking on my wooden desk right now for good luck & a great blue horseshoe year as well as all my friends on here who support other teams too.
-
My offseason starts soon. The stage is set.
-
The Colts are beautiful
-
Merry Christmas to all. And it's Christmas for football fans too unwrapping the playoff seedings and scenarios.
-
This is why I alway wanted to play the Chiefs in the playoffs. Assuming we win this game I hope we either get the second seed or the 4th.
-
Congrats to our beloved Colts for winning the AFC South again. Who knows when and how it happens.....but someday again we will be Super Bowl Champs.
-
All the boys think she's a spy, she's got Bette Davis eyes.....
-
RIP Lou Reed.......
-
Good Luck to both Jim and John Harbaugh today. Best wishes to the Harbaugh family and may the best team today win the Super Bowl.
-
Thanks for a great and highly memorable season Colts. Can't wait to see the monster develop next season even more.
-
Some people get it. And some people don't. Story of our lives. Go Colts!!!
