This Kobe intro is tough to watch.

They even got Phil Jackson and Jack Nicholson. :(

Great night. Kobe's game was a classic to end it all. And the Celtics are so confusing lol. They do have this comeback vibe within them totally.

I'm a big believer in embracing a sports fandom to a team that helped you achieve a championship. I don't see why he should have cared at all for everyone else's thought, when he had the loyal fans of Miami there to support him and embrace him. LeBron could have took the high road by staying there at Miami, since they helped him get championships that Cleveland did not.

I think it ate at Lebron inside the whole time to be honest since he always said he would deliver the Cavs a title before he was done there. He grew up near Cleveland too so I do think it always haunted him deep down.

True and he did get the help in Miami and he did get two rings. But, I think he always felt guilty.....I think guilt eats at people inside in many ways in life. It would have been easier if going to Miami wasn't such a spectacle to begin with.

I am just curious to see if the Cavs with Lebron can ever win it all since they have been in the finals enough now.

  3. Hard to believe that Kobe Bryant's last game is this Wednesday April 13th against the Utah Jazz. At least it's in L.A. and is nationally televised on ESPN.

Yeah I would take him over LeBron anyday! Loved his killer instinct + he played his whole career with 1 team, didn't go ring chasing. Shaq had a lot to do with the first 3 Championships he won but the last 2 Kobe carried the Lakers, Gasol was Good but nothing like Shaq was. I don't see anyone ever coming close to scoring 81 Points in a game either regarding today's players. Curry hasn't even come close in doing so and he's had games where he has even made 10 3's or so.

LeBron is a testament to poorly made decisions. Curry and that Golden State team is not that fun. They're too perfect. I had this same problem with the Bulls back in the 90's, even though I really hope they don't break the '96 Bulls record. That team is starting to become 2007 Patriots level annoying with all the BEST TEAM EVER tags stamped on them before they even reach the Finals. I wanted every team to knock the Pats out in 2007, and I would love to see the Spurs knock the Warriors out in the playoffs.

I miss Kobe already...I've missed Phil Jackson for a few years now, and missed Shaq for a while. I still remember when Shaq went to L.A., Gulf Coast sports fans loved this since he came from LSU and both the Tigers and Lakers have the same colors, so it was seen as a good luck charm.

Yeah I have always been a fan of Shaq. I picked the Spurs to win it all before the season started but beating the Warriors will be a tall task considering the Warriors will also have HCA. Warriors play the Spurs tomorrow in San Antonio and that game has a lot on the line. Warriors need to win their last 2 games to beat the Bulls record and the Spurs need 2 more home wins to become the first team ever to finish 41-0 at home. As of now it looks like Pop is playing everyone. Regarding the 2007 Patriots, the only other time I celebrated a SB win more than when the Giants beat them was of course when Indy won it in 2006. I had a Great 2 years watching the Manning's win the SB. Colts winning it all was huge for the franchise and Indianapolis, then the Pats losing to Eli of all QB's while being huge undefeated favorites was so enjoyable. Like you, I got so sick of hearing how the media was already labeling the Pats the best team ever. IMO had they even went undefeated I still don't think they were better the Cowboys of the 90's or the 49ers of the 80's. Both of those teams were stacked. If the Pats went undefeated that is all everyone would've heard for years is how they are the greatest, some think that anyway. Imagine how their fanbase would be had they went undefeated?? I think 2004 was their best team and I will put them in the Top 5 of all-time. That was the best Defensive team they ever had and Brady never made any mistakes back then, Adam never missed any clutch kicks either. They aren't better than the 92 or 93 Cowboys though or the 1989 49ers.

  4. Congrats to Villanova. Incredible ending to this game!

  5. If anyone cares about figure skating....the ladies world championship finals/long program is tomorrow night in Boston . A break from basketball too. After the short program yesterday the long program really comes down to Americans vs. Russians. New Englands own Gracie Gold is currently in first place, after her in second and third are two Russian girls. In 4th is another American and in 5th is another Russian.

An American female has not won the world figure skating championship since 2006. So maybe if Gracie does indeed win this weekend then it's a good sign for the Colts as well lol.

I think the American will win this year and she should hold onto first. She's a pretty girl too and has had some makeup endorsements.

      tumblr_n1i8x8Nogw1tq9x4fo2_1280.jpg

If she becomes world champion this weekend it could help spark a revival in skating again like back in the old days when we had Kristi Yamaguchi everywhere. But, it's tougher these days......

She can also win as long as she don't fall on her butt since it's in America and the home crowd will be nice.

The Russians on this girls tails though.....eek watch out. Russians pull out a lot of tricks in long programs to get all fancy. It won't be easy......so don't take my word. I am still learning the new scoring since I stopped skating competitively several years ago.

If this girl don't win from America it's a darn shame since it's in Boston and she is from around there I think.

This Russian woman is in second place and could win too, she's a beast.

      Anna-POGORILAYA-2015-2016FS005-thumbnail

Russian girl #2 who can also win, she's a beast lol

This one worries me the most......she is the current European Champion and is so little, tiny and wicked lol. Fierce skater.

      medvedeva-SKATING.jpg

The American girl currently in 4th has no real shot IMO. I highly doubt it.

    4. Jules

      Jules

^^^I was right. That girl up above in blue won it all. So yes a Russian won it all. lmao

The American Gracie Gold choked and fell on her opening jump combination. Sigh. Poor girl. But, the two Russians ahead of her NAILED it.

That girl in blue might be the best female skater I ever seen in my life and I can say she deserves to be world champ. I am still having chills over this girl.

The other American I said had no shot rose up and won the silver. The girl who was in first fell to 4th.

So in the end a Russian took the gold and bronze and an American silver.

Depending on what you like from DM, the album where they really started shift is 'Some Great Reward'. That's where they went with a more darker approach and it become their formula for the future, that album changed them forever. Before '85, they were pretty much a pure new wave band with lots and lots of bright synths and their most poppy sounding tunes (Just Can't Get Enough, See You)

  8. Michigan St. ruined my entire bracket and chance, sigh. Last year I had Duke and was right. This year my pick goes out asap. From winner to first round exist. lmao

I wish I was higher on the Cards but something burst with them IMO. That was a tough loss they had in the playoffs to the Panthers, very revealing. Also they might have should have lost to the Packers too. I don't trust Palmer as well. Now I HOPE the Cards do well since I do like them a lot.

I have my eye on GB and the Seahawks are turning into the Patriots of the NFC.

The Saints will depend on defense, they can't get much worse there. On offense I think they started to roll nearing the end of last season. And I do think Payton will get more out of Fleener then we did.

The NFC in recent years has been a bit of a revolving door outside the Packers and Seahawks always making it in. I might not picking the Panthers but it depends on how I feel later this offseason. I am torn on the Broncos too since I don't even completely trust Kansas City. Both SB teams are up in the air for me right now.

For the Colts if we win the division again it will be brutal since we may have to face and likely will the Pats and Steelers. Ouch....

    3. 2006Coltsbestever

      2006Coltsbestever

I always give GB a chance because they have Rodgers but their Defense isn't a SB winning type Defense, maybe they will improve it through the Draft and the rest of the off season? If they do they are definitely a threat to challenge anyone.

    4. Jules

      Jules

Syracuse making the final 4 is pretty exciting, didn't see this coming. Here is the darkhorse we have been looking for!

GB does have that trash defense I agree but I did like how they looked in the playoffs, they had an excellent shot to knock out Arizona too. And Rodgers when he takes more risks and stops worrying about interceptions can play better then anyone in football. He was playing better in the final weeks of the year IMO. Rodgers needs to always let loose more and let it rip.

Closely contested? We won by 14 points. Colts were outscored 31-7 after starting 10-0. You can brag about those regular season wins, but we got the ring in the one game it mattered the most.
