OMG, that intro tonight for Kobe and the story about the little boy and the journey he had and when he had to end it all was PERFECT.

Loved it all, loved seeing all those big names there too tonight.

Iverson was there taping it and mucking it up with Kobe!!!! :applause:

Love the interactions between Kobe and Magic too and the fact Shaq is back with them as friends.

Lakers almost won as well. Lost 116-114 in OT! Great halftime retirement ceremony. I had to YouTube it because I am at work but just watched it.

  2. They tried to make me go to rehab, I said, "No, no, no.." Yes, I've been black but when I come back you'll know, know, know. I ain't got the time and if my daddy thinks I'm fine. He's tried to make me go to rehab, I won't go, go, go..

There’s so much left to know, and I’m on the road to find out.

  4. Sweet Sixteen wins in a row now for the Celtics. Kyrie Irving: 47 points in Dallas.

Crazy game, Mavericks led by Dirk played their butts off to break that streak and damn near did it and lost in OT. Mavs were up 10+ in the 4th.

Toronto may beat us, we are due for a loss after winning 4 in a row. I think that game is 50/50 as Toronto is very talented and they kicked the crap out of Houston the other night.

    3. Jules

      Jules

Due for a loss after just 4? Celtics are at 16 and I keep thinking it's coming. lmao But it's tough to say........

I think it's the Kyrie factor, he's the closer. Pacers still need "that guy" but your scoring looks to be pretty good.

    4. 2006Coltsbestever

      2006Coltsbestever

Dipo I think is a decent closer and becoming that type of guy. Pacers usually just go with the hot hand. Yeah 4 in a row isn't nothing compared to 16 but 16 isn't the norm. Usually when teams win 4 or 5 in a row they play a stinker and lose. Long streaks are rare. I would be surprised if the C's have a streak longer than 7 the rest of the year once this one is over.

  5. Hey, who do you think has the biggest and best bad azzz 1-2 team on the block? WE DO. I mean look at us, proving da doubters wrong too and the bad media people. We are rockin and rolling.......up next the Jags in London who HAVE NO CHANCE. We own the Jags and London is our second home.

Pats are gonna get creamed by us if we make the playoffs. No doubt about it. We are going to nail Brady to the wall.......

HOW ARE THE SAINTS DOING!!!!!!!! CAN THEY WIN TOMORROW. HOW ARE THE SAINTS? AREN'T YOU WORRIED ABOUT THE SAINTS?

Oh boy, imagine if Dungy had Dak back on those old Tampa Bay teams. He would have finally had a quarterback. No need to bounce the Dilfer-King-Johnson train of mediocrity.

Or maybe the Browns are Job?

The powers in the sky want the Pats to do in Rex Ryan next weekend. Since the Pats are Satan's chosen team.

*Rams/Bucs; what in the hell was wrong with this game? So many times, both of those teams could have ended it. But like a book that constantly flip flops and adds filler, that game went on and went on and went on, even though it was pretty much over once the Rams got a 10 point lead early on.

And there was that odd weather delay in this game too.

Also, I think San Diego keeps losing players to injury. Whats up with that?

But, why are the Vikings and Broncos being favored?

Browns missed the FG in regulation to flat out win. Typical Browns.......

  6. Zaza Pachulia is the biggest tool in the NBA. I had totally forgotten about this guy's history, until he took out Leonard. Pops went nuts yesterday in his press conference on Zaza's history and losing his best player which cost them the big lead they had and cost Leonard for game 2.

Warriors still knocking out Leonard, only lose by a whopping few points. Western Champions*. Congrats Durant, you picked a good franchise to chase a ring on.

Now where I remember Baby Zaza? The first round from 2008 when KG and company struggled vs. Atlanta but finally won the series. Worth watching this. When you get KG this mad at you, you know you are a tool.

Zaza was after KG the entire series and finally KG had enough of his crap. The Celtics that year had numerous issues with that guys crap on the court in that series.

The road gets tougher now for the King, not so much since the Cavs can't beat the Celtics with ease and the Warriors but due to the dirty nature of BOTH teams.

Yes and I am looking at you Kelly Olynyk as well. You try any crap with Kevin Love again you won't make it out of Cleveland alive. I know you had a big game 7 shooting the ball but lets not act like you are the new IT boy just yet.

I noticed at times how Kelly Olynyk was even at times in game 7 grabbing the arms of Marcin Gortat of the Wizards a lot.

Lebron has to not put up with any of this crap, period. Even if someone tries something and he gets a technical.......he has to stand up for his guys and himself from now on.

To be fair, the Spurs past was not always innocent and you could even argue it is karma too.

Bruce Bowen was pretty damn dirty himself in the past and says absolutely Zaza did it on purpose.

      They want Lebron.

    3. 2006Coltsbestever

      2006Coltsbestever

The East is pretty wide open, it is much tougher to predict this season. If Toronto could grow a SACK they could even probably win the East. That team is pretty loaded with talent. The Celtics to me are still the best Defensive team in the East and best  Coached. Cavs got more athletic after the trade and still have LeBron so yes they are dangerous as usual. Teams like the Pacers and Bucks are intriguing, both teams have great chemistry and a Superstar to boot. I am now considering Oladipo a Superstar at this point and the Greek Freak definitely is.

    4. Jules

      Jules

C's will get better again defensively when Smart returns. Since without him, they seem to miss that spark plug. They are sewer trash lately.

Raptors IMO are the best east team on paper, best bench too. Great home crowd and they are hungry. Problem is......sigh, it's the Raptors. Even their fans are dumb aazzes from Canada.

I think every eastern team has dangerous aspects to them but I still got to say Lebron is the favorite until he is knocked off is all.  I mean......it's LEBRON. lmao

      Quote

I am now considering Oladipo a Superstar at this point and the Greek Freak definitely is.

They are great players, but I think they need to show more in the playoffs for a few years before I can put them in true superstar status. Same with the hyped up Sixers too.

Like I need signature moments and games too or something. But the playoffs are not all that matters. But it's why Kyle Lowry is a great all star player but is known for being a dud in the postseason.

I like Oladipo more than the Greek Freak. ESPN is in love with the Bucks, they kinda worry me since I fear they will get ref help in the postseason. Oladipo I think will prove himself in the postseason in the next few years win or lose since his numbers are usually great.

The Pacer do not score with the best of them...but WE play hard. Love em...the Lakers lost when they went to D'Antoni. It was prime for the Zen_Master to return with the triangle mixed in with a double post of Howard/Gasol....Good time to NOT be a Laker fan.

Lonzo is definitely a throwback at PG, that is what Lakers fans need to realize. I honestly don't think he will ever be a great Scorer but I never did. That isn't his job. His job is to pile up Assists and be the Leader of that team. Rebound well to start fastbreaks, etc.. Yes he needs to score some to keep the opponent honest but 15 a game would be adequate IMO. He isn't a scoring PG like Curry, Westbrook, and Harden are. He is more like CP3, Kidd, Stockton type. Regarding Walton, I really liked him at first and I had him up there with Brad Stevens potential but not sure now. His rotations are puzzling!

    3. Jules

      Jules

I agree with everything you said. As for Brad Stevens, he can make his mistakes too. He had Al Horford against Drummond the other night instead of going with Baynes at center. Not a great move since Al doesn't have enough muscle at times, kinda like a tall thin Kevin Love type. He can score but sometimes be pushed around by the monster dudes.

I give Brad Stevens a pass though since they play the Pistons 3 more times and he likes to feel out different line ups a lot in various games for the future. And they might end up seeing them yet again for the playoffs.

Stevens has some puzzling rotations at times too and especially for second units but he often does it to feel out what will work long term as well.

Luke is trying to find what works as well but I don't think they should "bench" Lonzo like they were a few times for the 4th quarter, it won't help his confidence. I won't give up on Luke yet though........he is OK so far and has even defended Lonzo Ball at times.

Sometimes I don't think Luke uses Lopez well though so far.

Oh no........Lakers play the Warriors tonight. lmaolmaolmao *hides* I read Durant/Curry are cleared to play but I don't know if their minutes are cut.

If Lakers lose tonight I hope nobody freaks out on this one. Since it's not a win you should expect by any means. Lakers though IMO should have beaten the Clippers the other night.

  11. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!!!! I guess I can stop posting win updates for the Celtics. Sigh. The streak ends to the Miami Heat of all teams in Miami. I guess it was coming, other teams wanted it more at times. Just wish it wasn't to the Heat who I don't think are all that great despite being fired up lol.

It ends at 16. It was a blast thought. Now the Celtics have to start showing up more BEFORE 4th quarters........

I had a big dinner over NBA stuff tonight with my boyfriend and sister so I am stuffed. We talk too much about Lebron and the Celtics and Lonzo Ball.

I will try to catch some of the NFL action or at least the later stuff. Just hoping the Cowboys continue to slide lol. I also would not mind San Diego going on some sort of hot streak, Rivers deserves it. I am starting to warm up to the idea of the Vikings now too........

  12. 7 wins in a row for Celtics. :clover: First team in NBA history to win 7 in a row after starting 0-2. They beat the OKC show tonight. Brad Stevens IMO coach of the year so far. He has Kyrie playing at his best now too. :)

I also don't think Boston has been giving up 100 points even in a while.

Warriors sadly IMO are not even focused yet. They will more later on. When they do focus they are lethal and the defensive intensity will be turned up a notch. Last year their defense was a joke for the first few months but when the new year hit they kicked it up a notch.

This is why I wanted the Celtics (with Hayward) to fight against the Warriors in the finals, felt it would be a better series even if the Celtics lost over another Cavs/Warriors crap feast. Hayward won't be back this year.

Ironically by years end if the Celtics stay healthy with everyone else, I still would not count them out for the finals.......since they are a young team with energy and they might be able to snag the first seed again.

    3. 2006Coltsbestever

      2006Coltsbestever

I have always thought LeBron has been a Top 10 player of all-time but in all honesty he is probably Top 5 and is still the best player today. Guy scores 57 with ease lmao. He is in there with the Jordan's, Magic's, and Kobe's and actually has more physical talent than those 3. He is a lot like Shaq = a freak of nature. Tom Brady is just a winner and really his only comp were the Manning's. Eli now stinks and Peyton is retired so Tom has an easy road to the SB unless the Steelers or Chiefs can stop him. I want Chiefs but I am not sold on Alex Smith being able to pull it off. They have the Coaching and Defense and now Hunt but can Smith come through :dunno:

    4. 2006Coltsbestever

      2006Coltsbestever

You are rooting for the Celtics like I am OKC hoping they can knock off the Warriors but I doubt it happens. I think LeBron will get another crack at them but I don't think even he can beat that team. I thought he had good help last season with Irving and it still wasn't near enough. Not sure how Thomas will play with them?

  13. Song to help kick off the NBA playoffs. Yes don't laugh........it's New Kids on the Block, but for a reason. This boy band was from Boston and wrote this with the old Celtics in mind who won everything.

Clippers lose by 2, they are in full playoff form early. I feel bad for Doc Rivers since the Clippers tied the game with 13 seconds and then Utah got a shot to go in at the buzzer. Doc looked heartbroken.

Clippers are just so damn doomed.

Ugh this is depressing. Chicago shot lights out in game 1, Isaiah Thomas is a basket case and looks like he has not slept (understandable) and well......it's game 2 or else our Boston dream is likely going to end sooner then we had hoped.

      Game 2 is now HUGE.

Nice moment at the end when I saw D Wade talking to Isaiah kindly and asking how he was doing.

If you did not see the Warriors, they struggled with Portland until the 4th quarter and Portland even had a lead once. Anyone who says the Warriors can't be beaten is stupid, they can be beaten......the D is still very iffy.

I hope the Lions can go farther in the playoffs then people might be expecting, since the NFC does seem "open" this year. Would be cool to have the Lions and Jim Bob Cooter give us a run to watch. I don't even trust Seattle anymore or the Cowboys who can't function against the Giants. So why not the Lions?

Or even the Packers. I hear also Rodgers is up again for the MVP.......yes they might give it to Aaron if the Pack win out too since the league is in love with him.  People are so in love with Rodgers that when the Packers had the losing streak they came up with theories as to why baby Aaron was upset; like he has not spoken to family or McDonalds refused him a toy.

Rodgers is the golden boy like Manning used to be. It amazes me when he struggles, all the excuses GB gets, but Brees will put up far better stats, still lose, and people will say that the Saints need to trade him.

If Rodgers get another MVP, that's just ridiculous since GB did nothing when it counted. This streak their on is probably too late, cause they have 3 teams ahead of them who can win out and make the playoffs - Giants, Washington, and Tampa Bay.

      Quote

I think personally Stafford deserves it, since he is having a Peyton Manning "in his prime" like year with all these game winning drives and stuff. If the Lions were the Colts with Manning, Stafford would get it. And he is clearly VALUABLE to his team. How the Lions have won games this year is almost exactly how so many Colts teams with Peyton would win. Jim Caldwell is probably going nuts on this.

Matt Ryan might get it too (sorry) but at the same time it depends on how they finish the year and losing to the Chiefs/Seahawks might hurt his credibility.

Matt Ryan shouldn't even be in MVP conversation cause the reason his stats look so good is because he has the best receiver in the league with Julio Jones.

I want Stafford to get MVP, I really do. And he's doing it all without Calvin Johnson which no one is talking about. The Lions offense seems to be better without Johnson, cause now they're opened up more and can spread the ball around.

The argument against Brady though will be he missed the first 4 games and they went 3-1 without him. It all depends I think too on how good Brady does in Denver this weekend since he often has been crap there.

The best thing this year is if Denver misses the playoffs....Hate that team so much, they're so freaking dirty and LUCKY. All those lucky wins last year and this year again. I hope New England does beat them cause I'm so sick of them.

Of course we both know deep down that Russia is going to hack the MVP voting anyway so why bother? (sorry I had to. lmao )

And Putin is literally a James Bond villain that can do something like that, and something I heard yesterday, Russia rigged it YEARS in advance!!! So if Matt Ryan does get the MVP, this is something that was planned years ago lmao

If Denver can beat NE this weekend they may still be able to get in I think and it would hurt Brady for MVP chances big time. I favor NE to win, but not a big win. I can't recall the Pats with Brady EVER playing well in Denver, like ever. The only time was when Denver had Tebow.

It's another weak year for MVP. I hate to tell you this but they could give MVP to Ryan and offensive player of the year to Julio Jones. It's what they did with Brady/Moss in 2007.

I would give it to Stafford, and I think he can only win it if the Lions do win the NFC North. If they fall to a WC spot he won't get it IMO.

It's all about winning the division.

I bet though so hard they will try to give it to Rodgers and get them in the playoffs. lmao

Something tells me that if Putin had a choice for MVP it's Tom Brady. Kinda creepy too that Putin literally did take that one Pats SB ring from Kraft. You should spread this online and see if liberals catch on and make a conspiracy out of it. lmao

I am worried about the Lions playing in NY this weekend.

The Giants are starting to become our Russia in our minds for the NFL.

  16. Starting to wonder if the Cubs curse is actually real. But, hey this series isn't over yet. And no I am not a Cubs fan really. I kinda like L.A. teams so I prefer the Dodgers deep down and I want to see if Cleveland can snag another championship this year with the Indians!!!!

Amazing coincidence - Cleveland will be playing their first game in the World Series on the NBA's opening night when the Cavs drop their championship banner.

If I was a Cleveland sports fan, I'd say screw the Browns and never watch another NFL game. No need, when you have the best player of the past decade in basketball playing the top of his career, and managed to deliver his promise of a championship...and you also have the Indians who are great.

Great time to be a Cleveland sports fan while forgetting about throwball.

  17. A first round center! Music to my ears. Maybe Luck won't get killed this year again!

I don't know anything about the DB but I see people complaining hard on it already. Then again for many years nobody complains more about draft picks then the draft junkies on Colts forums lol. I think some were even complaining I recall when we picked TY Hilton saying he was too small and picked too high lol.

I think Celtics and Heat both advance to Round 2. Watch out for OKC in the West, they are capable of upsetting the Spurs or Warriors. The combo of Durant/Westbrook is lethal. They have a legit Center finally in Kanter as well.

I think my brain can't handle it anymore after tonight's debate crap show. :argh:

It took Kaine until the very end to start bringing up the history of homophobia and anti-women's rights and outright bigotry of Pence and Trump, when he should've been nailing them from the very beginning, not waiting until the final 20 minutes. Ughhhhhh, I feel like this was screwed up from the get go.

I'd rather discuss Stone Hands right now than what I just witnessed. Holy crap that was bad. Kaine IMO messed this up.

The good news about the debate - it wasn't good enough to give Trump a jump in polls. Trump pretty much has killed any opportunity he's had of making this a close race, when he bashed soldiers with PTSD and mental problems. And Joe Biden slammed him for it. Kaine should've been doing that in the debates, but I do expect Hillary to bring it up in the next debate.

  21. Congrats to Lebron James for passing Michael Jordan in playoff points!!!

Peter Gabriel had a lot of songs on Miami Vice. 'Rhythm of the Heat' and 'Biko' were in the episode Evan. But that record right there, 'So' was a monster hit album during the show's prime. Half of that entire album is all used in season 3 - Red Rain, Sledgehammer, Do What We're Told, Mercy Street, Big Time - all those songs are in season 3 in various episodes.

  24. I shockingly fit perfectly in my mom's wedding dress she wore marrying my dad in the 70's. So I am going to wear it for my own wedding in May. Just needs a few adjustments here and there and a professional cleaning since it has been in a box wrapped up for so long preserved. But I am almost the same exact size as my mom my whole life.

Needless to say me wearing her wedding dress has my folks an emotional mess. They are loving this.

But it sure saves me a load of having to go around looking for a NEW dress and spending extra money on it that we can use for something else. Although this dress cost a fortune in the 70's for prices then so it's me going retro. It's sort of a Grace Kelly style wedding dress.

Too bad she got rid of that dress, but then again everyone is different when it comes to saving things. My mom saved everything. I mean she preserved her dress forever wrapped up in some airtight bag and a box. And her mother, my grandmother died when I was in the 4th grade sadly. But my mom saved her mom's cream wedding outfit too and still has that preserved! But no my mom is not going to wear her mom's outfit. lmao We are not going that far.

Oh this dress will be saved forever though, my mom is big on memories. Photos etc. Just everything.
