Bob Dylan; the rarest exception to having a crappy voice yet writing songs that defined your decade. Put him up next to the Beatles and the Stones and above everyone else, he belongs there in praise.
I read Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash had a lot of respect for one another too. I actually prefer Dylan's "it ain't me babe" covered by Johnny Cash and June Carter instead.
