At the top of the page where it says create click on it.

Did hit Create and Click on it but it has topic, gallery image, blog.

Weird since you are not the first to say you had an issue with the status thing. I get status as an option with create. You can report that maybe in the threads we have about the site in the OT section or help section. I know they said it's not all fixed and worked out yet too with the kinks here.
